Chapter 614 - 615: The Old Lady Fears Nothing

As soon as Di Xiaxia left the Vice Presidential Residence, she caught sight of Di Mingjue’s flamboyantly parked car by the entrance.

Gu Qibao sat in the backseat and, upon spotting her, energetically waved through the window. "Hey, Sister Xiaxia, get in quick!"

Without further ado, Di Xiaxia got into the car.

"Who are they?" She asked, unable to resist looking at the driver, Azure Dragon.

"My bodyguards," Gu Qibao responded cheerfully, "Duke found them for me. They’re in charge of my safety."

"Oh," Di Xiaxia nodded, laughing. "It seems like big brother really cares about you."

"Yeah." Gu Qibao pouted. "Ever since I fell into the river last time, he’s been overly worried about me. You wouldn’t believe it, but all of my accessories have been fitted with GPS! I’m basically a walking GPS device!"

"Pfft." Di Xiaxia couldn’t hold back her laughter, patting Gu Qibao’s head, "Silly girl, it’s all because he cares so much."

Gu Qibao stuck out her tongue.

"Is big brother not home?" Gu Qibao asked.

"I don’t know," Di Xiaxia shook her head, "I told you, I haven’t seen him in a long time and I now live elsewhere. I’m not up to date with his activities."

"Uh," scratching her head, Gu Qibao didn’t know what to say, so she remained silent.

The car swiftly progressed, quickly arriving at Dihai Lantian where Di Jinxuan and Nangong Ran were already enthusiastically waiting at the entrance.

As soon as Gu Qibao got out of the car, she excitedly declared, "Wow, you guys are so fast! Even more enthusiastic than I am."

Nangong Ran eagerly greeted her, "Yo, how could we disregard an invitation from Mistress Di? Wouldn’t we be frozen to death by one look from Duke?!"

Gu Qibao pouted, not bothering to be polite, "Good. You know your place."

After the playful greetings, they bolted towards the luxurious room, relishing high-end indulgence as if it was second nature.

Di Mingjue had yet to arrive, probably dealing with some matters. Only the four girls were present.

Gu Qibao, authoritatively gesturing to the waiter, declared, "Bring out the alcohol! Let’s have one last blowout before school starts. We’re not going home till we’re drunk."

Di Jinxuan gave her a disdainful look, "You make it sound as if you won’t party after school starts."

Gu Qibao stuck out her tongue, "Damn, I was only trying to show off. Don’t discredit me!"

Nangong Ran burst out laughing, asking, "Gu Xiaoqi, are you really going to figure out what major to choose after having drinks?"

Gu Qibao scratched her head, "Possibly, maybe, perhaps?"

Soon after, she wailed, "Anyway, I only have one more day to decide! If I can’t choose a major, Di Mingjue might not let me go to school at all!"

Nangong Ran blinked, "Then just pick one at random."

"Have you figured it out?" Gu Qibao asked her.

"Not yet." Nangong Ran, utterly content, shrugged her shoulders.

"So smug?" Gu Qibao eyed her suspiciously, "So what’s your plan?"

"I plan on drawing lots." Nangong Ran stated earnestly, "Whichever major I get, that’s the one I’ll study!"

They all burst out laughing at Nangong Ran’s response.

"That’s a great idea!" Gu Qibao was immediately amused and excitedly declared, "I think I’ll do that too."

Wearing a helpless expression, Di Jinxuan responded, "You guys are taking this major selection so lightly, is that really okay?"

With a shrug, Nangong Ran replied, "I’m not scared of anything."

Gu Qibao gave her a thumbs-up, fully endorsing it, and similarly declared, "I’m not scared of anything either."
