"Exactly," Gu Qibao agreed, also nodding his head feverishly.

Di Xiaxia blinked repeatedly at the two, swept away by their fervor. She flushed slightly before murmuring, "You two make it sound so real."

"Well, it is real!" Di Jinxuan affirmed, slapping her thigh. "Sister, do you not believe me? Do you not? If you don’t trust us, let’s make a bet. In the end, Big Brother will do whatever you want. He won’t dare to do otherwise!"

"Exactly!" Gu Qibao chimed in, jumping about. "Sister Xiaxia, if you don’t trust us, let’s bet — a good five million. How about it?"

"Holy smokes," Di Xiaxia gasped, her eyes bulging. "Sister-in-law, you’re really going all-out!"

Gu Qibao blinked, nonchalantly dismissing her concern. "It’s not my money anyway. I’m just asking if you dare to bet."

"Bet on what?" Di Xiaxia scratched her head, appears completely befuddled by their on-going banter.

Sister, don’t back out now," Di Jinxuan grumbled. "A bet of five million says that once you win Big Brother over, you’ll be happy for the rest of your life. Dare to take the bet? If you’re in, I’m in too for five million!"

"I..." Di Xiaxia continued to scratch her head, glancing at Di Jinxuan uncertainly. "Do you really have that much?"

"I have a credit card," Di Jinxuan replied proudly. "Besides, I can ask mom if necessary. She’ll definitely support me for this kind of bet."

"I’m definitely not betting," Di Xiaxia pouted. She would be a fool to bet on such a thing with them!

"Hmph, I look down upon you," Di Jinxuan sulked superiorly.

"I look down upon you, too," Gu Qibao continued. "You could make a quick ten million, and you’re refusing? Are you trying to say you’re a fool?"

Di Xiaxia rolled her eyes, "You two are utterly immature."

Gu Qibao and Di Jinxuan were at a loss for words, eventually trudging out of the room in disappointment.

Di Jinxuan ordered some fruits to be delivered to her room, and the two sat on the bed devouring watermelon. Gu Qibao sighed frustratingly, "I talked my mouth dry, using every single word I could think of, but none of it worked. It’s infuriating!"

"Tell me about it," Di Jinxuan replied, rolling her eyes. Suddenly, she brightened up and exclaimed, "Gu Xiaoqi, how do you describe him so handsomely? Your words almost tempted me to lick the screen."

Gu Qibao shrugged, "It’s easy, I just describe what I see in my husband. Every single word is accurate."

Di Jinxuan felt as if she had been hit by a lightning bolt. So, this was the reason!

"But my sister still doesn’t feel anything," Di Jinxuan complained, taking another bite of her watermelon dejectedly.

"Hmm, maybe she’s just shy?" Gu Qibao contemplated. "Maybe she really likes him, she just feels embarrassed to admit it."

Di Jinxuan immediately perked up, "Oh my gosh, when you put it that way, it actually sounds plausible!"

Gu Qibao chuckled knowingly, "Well, we did everything we could to help and said all there was to say, let’s just leave it at that."

"Mhm," Di Jinxuan nodded, sighing wistfully. "I’d rather she hurry up and seal the deal. That way, we won’t have to worry about the duck we nearly had in our grasp flying away."

At Di Jinxuan’s proverb, Gu Qibao became absolutely exasperated.
