Chapter 554 - 555: Give some deference to Xiaxia in all matters

Their eldest brother has finally seen the light at the end of the tunnel!

"Mm." Di Mingzhe responded with a slight curl of his lips, nodding imperceptibly in acknowledgement.

Gu Qibao and Di Jinxuan were whispering with an obvious excitement. Their guilty eyes were constantly roving over Di Xiaxia and Di Mingzhe.

Di Xiaxia felt unspeakably awkward. Dammit, she was just coming home, yet why did she feel as if she was an unsightly daughter-in-law meeting her in-laws?

What on earth was this sense of shame she felt inside and out?

So the whole family sat down at the dining table. The servants brought up the dishes and Di Yan waved his hand cheerfully, "We’re happy today. Let’s have some wine. We’re all family, let’s enjoy ourselves."

Everyone agreed with this comment.

A servant quickly fetched a bottle of top-class red wine from the wine cabinet, opened it, and respectfully poured a glass for everyone.

Di Yan picked up his wine glass and summarized solemnly, "Xiaxia is our daughter, and now she’s marrying our son. It’s a double happiness event, not even needing to leave our house. The wedding ceremony must be grand."

Di Xiaxia’s face turned inexplicably red, blurted out in haste, "Dad, it’s not what you think!"

Di Yan was taken aback.

Fang Hao nudged Di Yan and scolded him unhappily, "Isn’t it too early to talk about marriage now? The kids are together, that’s all that matters. They’re both shy, let’s talk about these things later, you’re rushing."

Di Yan blinked, looking somewhat innocent. If they were together but not getting married, then what were they doing?
