Chapter 530 - 531: Let Me Love You, Waiting for You To Love Me

Di Mingzhe spoke, slowly lifting his broad hand. His slender fingers gently touched her face, his deep eyes falling into hers, "However, I have never thought of defeating you. If possible, I’d rather lose my whole life. Now, I’m willing to bet a lifetime on your love for me. Is that okay?"

Di Xiaxia stared at him, her heart shaking like a gigantic wave crashing with the power to destroy the world.

She couldn’t even begin to describe this level of shock. She had considered many possibilities, but this particular one was not among them.

After a moment, she asked in a daze, "What do you mean ’is that okay’?"

He had spoken his piece, but at such a moment she was baffled. Di Mingzhe didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Looking into her eyes seriously, he spoke with a firmness that he had never display before, "What I mean is, I want you to agree to be with me, let me love you, and wait for you to love me."

Di Xiaxia’s body slightly trembled uncontrollably. Such beautiful words from him strangely didn’t feel out of place.

Di Xiaxia was silent, feeling a little lost.

Di Mingzhe also fell silent. After saying all these things, he felt relieved.

As Di Mingzhe spoke, he took her left hand and put it over his heart, holding it tightly against himself, "Here with me, you are irreplaceable. I can promise that here," he gestured to his heart, "is only you. Not even myself. Give me time to prove how much I love you."

Di Xiaxia stared at him, her eyes wide in disbelief. These words were said by her older brother?

This was so surprising!

He was usually a man of few words and quite quiet. Yet he had said so much now, each word more pleasant than the last. His words were making her heart race uncontrollably!

Seeing that she had remained silent, Di Mingzhe continued, "You don’t have to answer immediately. Just stay by my side. Time will prove everything."

Di Xiaxia blinked repeatedly, finally opening her lips uncertainly, "So are you saying... you want to date me?"

Upon hearing her words, brilliant sparks sprang from the depths of Mingzhe’s eyes. Her hesitation rather than outright rejection sent his heart pounding.

Even his palms seemed to be slightly sweating.

"Yes." Di Mingzhe nodded decisively, his eyes locked onto her.

Seeing his earnest expression, Di Xiaxia squinted slightly and asked, "Then can I still be myself? I mean, can I still play games, do extreme sports, curse and all? Basically, can I do whatever I want?"
