Chapter 438 - 439: You Weren’t There Last Time

"A date?" Di Mingjue raised his eyebrow. This seemed quite fresh; he had never been on a date before.

"Yeah." Gu Qibao nodded her head, "Shopping, playing games, going to amusement parks, watching movies, eating out, do whatever you want, sounds good?"

Despite looking at her with slight contempt, Di Mingjue nodded, "okay."

"Let’s make it clear, you will listen to me today." Gu Qibao quickly said. She wanted to experience the life of an ordinary couple, not going to booked private venues just because they can afford it.

"Alright." Di Mingjue did not refute.

"Yay, you are the best." Gu Qibao happily made a peace sign with her hand.

Stepping out the door, Di Mingjue went to start the car, but Gu Qibao stopped him, "Are you planning to drive to our date?"

"Or walk?" Di Mingjue frowned.

"Ride the bus!" Gu Qibao proudly clapped her hands, her face instantly filled with anticipation. "I have never ridden the bus before."

She hadn’t even ridden a bus with her husband before, and she felt that it would definitely be a different experience.

She totally thought that her proposal would be agreeable to Di Mingjue, but instead he looked at her as if she was an idiot, "Gu Qibao, are you stupid? People look forward to riding in luxury cars on dates, and yet you want to ride the bus."

Gu Qibao bit her fingernail, "But I haven’t ridden a bus before, I think it’s cool."

"Didn’t you ride a coach bus last time?" Di Mingjue said, "Didn’t you ride it when you were training last time?"

"It’s not the same." Gu Qibao pouted, "You weren’t there last time."

His large palm suddenly grabbed her petite hand, "Let’s go then."

But their house was in a villa district without a bus station nearby so Di Mingjue called the bodyguards he’d hired to take them to a place where there was a bus station.

The couple sat in the backseat, and the two bodyguards sat in the front. When she found out that these bodyguards were specifically hired for her by Di Mingjue, Gu Qibao felt overwhelmed.

Private bodyguards were expensive, with a monthly salary of several or even nearly a hundred thousand dollars depending on their skills and experience, and they even had to provide meals.

Di Mingjue found four for her. This was love in its truest form!

Gu Qibao was moved beyond words. She was also very curious about the two bodyguards. They looked very cool in their all-black suits and seemed very skillful.

They even wore cool sunglasses. They were just too awesome in every way.

The sunglasses covered their faces so it was hard to see their features. But from what could be seen, their noses and mouths looked good. Gu Qibao was taken aback by their intimidating aura and asked, "What are your names?"

After all, they needed some form of address.

"Azure Dragon." The man driving responded coldly.

"Vermilion Bird." The woman in the passenger seat also replied, her voice was a bit husky and low, but it added a hint of sexiness to it.

Gu Qibao widened her eyes. Holy crap! These names were too cool!

"Don’t tell me you have two more bodyguards called White Tiger and Black Tortoise?" Gu Qibao asked incredulously.

"Yes, young lady." Vermilion Bird turned her head and nodded towards Gu Qibao.

Gu Qibao turned to look at Di Mingjue, her eyes full of suspicion, "Honey, when did you start getting involved in the underworld?"

"I didn’t." Di Mingjue shook his head. He sternly eyed the two men in the front seats, "It was them who insisted on using these names."

He already had asked them to change their names, since their current ones sounded like they were off to a fight. However, they simply refused.
