The old man eyed the axe in Er Gouzi’s hand, stammering, "Er Gouzi, don’t you dare act rashly. You’ve been eating our food, using our things. You would have starved to death without us. "This beast is rebellious!" the old woman replied. "Thank you, his uncle, nothing more to see here."

The villager nodded and curiously asked when he saw Gu Qibao, "Madam Chen, when did your family get another girl?"

The old woman’s face immediately blossomed into a grin, "This is my daughter-in-law!"

Gu Qibao almost spat blood. Who the hell is your daughter-in-law?!

"No, uncle, please save me. I’m not their daughter-in-law, I...I was tricked by them!" Gu Qibao cried out, desperately seeking help.

However, the villager just ignored her, as if he was used to such things. He even cheerfully asked, "So when will the feast be?"

"Tomorrow, tomorrow," replied the old man, beaming like a chrysanthemum.

"Good!" the villager nodded. "Must have good wine and meat."

"Definitely, definitely," the old man chuckled.

Gu Qibao stared dumbfounded as the villager left with a smiling face. She suddenly felt an onrush of despair, her entire world view shattered!

What sort of people are these?!

They are even worse than animals!

Just when things were at their most dire, a noise sounded from above. It was the sound of airplane propellers!

The old man and the old woman instinctively looked up.

My goodness, so many airplanes?

They counted and found there were about seven or eight aircraft circling high in the sky, seemingly with a purpose.

The old man did not understand and glanced at the old woman, then noticed a large crowd of onlookers had gathered outside the village path, all pointing and discussing the airplanes.

The old man couldn’t help but mutter, "What’s happening?"
