Just as she was about to gleefully skip forward a few steps, she was stopped by an old man.

Feeling puzzled, Gu Qibao blinked, "What’s up?"

"Where do you think you’re going?" the old man said irritably, "My dog, Eggy, saved your life. He’s your life-saving benefactor. This favor was given to you by our household, so you must marry my son!"

The old woman grabbed the old man and whispered, "Let’s arrange a good spread for tonight, have a wedding, and let our son ’cook the rice’ tonight!"

The old man grimaced, looking at his foolish son, unable to refrain from asking, "Are you sure our son can handle it?"

The old woman pondered for a moment, finally biting the bullet, "Doesn’t matter, once they are married and sleep together, they are husband and wife!"

"Okay!" The old man nodded, his face showing determination, "No matter what my son looks like, you must marry him!"

Realizing there might be no hope for this fool, Gu Qibao burst into laughter. She had nothing to fear at all!
