Chapter 341 - 342: It’s Over!

If you’re going to kill me, Boss, just get it over with already!

Di Xiaxia stared at him helplessly, her gaze fixed on his sensually thin lips. Her heart was trembling so violently it felt ready to leap out, just waiting for him to say something.

But, Di Mingzhe remained silent for a moment, and though his lips parted slightly, they eventually closed again.

"It’s nothing." He retracted his hand, turned his face away, his long fingers rested on the armrest, his handsome face still remained expressionless.

Di Xiaxia looked at him, realizing that her heart was pounding nervously, her palms were starting to sweat, while he acted as if nothing had just happened.

She felt her thoughts become chaotic. Being this close to the boss was truly terrifying.

So she stood up, "I need to use the bathroom."

She then hobbled off towards the bathroom with the aid of her crutch.

"Here, sir," an attendant handed Di Mingzhe a glass of red wine.

He took it, his calm face as serene as a calm lake. As he sipped the wine, his deep gaze stalwartly fixed on the direction of the bathroom.

Di Xiaxia was practically jumping out of her skin while sitting on the toilet; She had never been so flustered in her over twenty years!

She didn’t quite know what Di Mingzhe was up to.

Though she and Di Mingzhe were siblings, they had barely interacted over the past twenty years.

Moreover, Di Mingzhe had always been busy and hardly had time for her. Even if he didn’t like his second brother, he certainly wouldn’t like her...right?

But the way the Boss was acting...what should she do?

Di Xiaxia felt panicked sitting on the toilet, but there was nothing she could do-- she decided to just hide in the bathroom and play dead!

But without her phone, she was so bored she started counting her fingers and toes.

Was it really okay for her, a vibrant young woman with a touch of ADHD, to play dead in the bathroom? She wasn’t able to play happily at all.

As time went by, although it wasn’t long, she felt like she was so bored that grass would start growing on her head!

Finally, she raised her hands, her fingers touching her temples, imitating a meditation posture, and mumbled to herself, "Oh, God, help me. What’s wrong with the Boss? Could he have really started liking me?"

Just as she had finished speaking, there suddenly came a knock on the door.

Smack!

She was so startled she nearly fell off the toilet.

"Di Xiaxia." Di Mingzhe’s soft voice floated through the door. "Do you normally take fifteen minutes to use the bathroom?"

"I...I’m constipated." Di Xiaxia wiped her face, lying without a trace of shame.

There was silence from outside, followed by the sound of footsteps.

"Phew..." Di Xiaxia finally let out a long sigh of relief, resigned to hiding in the bathroom until the end of time.

No, it was becoming too dangerous here. Once her leg was better, she decided she really needed to go back abroad.

Subconsciously, she reached for her phone, realizing it wasn’t with her. Then a thought flashed through her mind,/and she suddenly widened her eyes.

Oh no! She had left her phone with the Boss!

Most importantly, she had a few inappropriate videos on her phone. Damn!

She was in for it now, fully and truly screwed!

What if the Boss secretly went through her phone?

And what if he saw those inappropriate videos she’s hidden away?

Would the Boss be so upset that he’d want her dead?

Di Xiaxia got up immediately, in a state of utter panic. She had saved those videos for the purpose of figuring out how to win over her third brother!
