Love You for the Rest of My Life

Chapter 291 - 292: It wasn’t intentional

Chapter 291 - 292: It wasn’t intentional

"These are all flesh wounds." Di Mingzhe said with a cold expression, "It’s a good thing these got scraped, otherwise you might be seriously injured. These minor injuries can be neglected for now, where else does it hurt the most?"

Where did it hurt the most? Di Xiaxia knitted her brows, after a moment she said, "I’m a bit uncomfortable in my abdomen."

"Let me see." Di Mingzhe then lifted her oversized vest.

A noticeable wound appeared in her abdomen. The wound had split slightly and a bit of blood seeped out.

Thankfully, it wasn’t incredibly severe.

However, Di Mingzhe’s eyes noticeably darkened; he simply reached out and ripped her vest off altogether.

"What are you doing?" Di Xiaxia’s frown deepened; she struggled to sit up.

"Don’t move." Di Mingzhe’s slender yet cold fingers stopped her; while attentively tending to her wounds, he ordered, "Your abdomen is torn open. I am going to bandage it up first."

"Is the injury serious?" Di Xiaxia asked.

Her whole body hurt so much at the moment that she could barely feel how bad her belly was injured.

"It’s okay." Di Mingzhe responded coolly while tending the wounds, "It’s no big deal."

Only then did Di Xiaxia breathe a sigh of relief. After exhaling, she instantly felt a bit awkward.

After the vest was torn off, she was only wearing a strapless top and a pair of oversized shorts.

The bandages around her waist were a bit of an eyesore, though.

Even in such a sorry state, her good figure was undeniable.

Di Mingzhe got to work a bit, he bandaged her gut properly before looking at her. "Come, try to stand and see if you can."

"Okay." Di Xiaxia nodded and strained hard to try to get up.

Just a tiny movement broke her out into a cold sweat. Luckily, a warm and strong arm came from behind her. It held her firmly.

Di Xiaxia involuntarily turned her head, only to see Di Mingzhe’s unflappable and handsome face, as cool as the moon.

Their faces were so close they could almost feel each other’s breath.

But Di Mingzhe didn’t show any emotion, he didn’t even notice Di Xiaxia’s eyes. He simply ordered, "Now, use some strength. Big brother will help you. Let’s see if anywhere else hurts, mainly if the foot is injured."

"Okay," Di Xiaxia nodded, mustering up all her strength.

In reality, she didn’t have any strength at all. It was entirely Di Mingzhe who was lifting her.

Just as he managed to get Di Xiaxia up, his hand inadvertently touched something.

Di Mingzhe jerked involuntarily, seemed a bit panicked as he pulled his hand away and unthinkingly stepped back.

Di Xiaxia hadn’t found her footing. Not only had she not found her footing, her foot was in extreme pain, a pain that bored into her like a needle.

Who could have anticipated that Di Mingzhe would remove his support so suddenly? She lost her balance and teetered backwards.

"Watch out!" Di Mingzhe reached out and caught her just in time.

But due to being too abrupt, or perhaps using too much force, Di Xiaxia was pulled forward by his tug. Unsteadily, she tumbled directly onto him and onto the ground.

Then, the situation became awkward.

Di Xiaxia lay on top of him.

Their faces were so close they practically touched each other.

Their lips naturally met and they ended up kissing.

"Um..." Di Xiaxia’s face went instantly red.

Hastily propping herself up, she stuttered, "Bi... Big brother, sorry, I didn’t mean to, I..."

Just as she finished her sentence, she felt a forceful hit at the back of her head.

Her red lips were once again pressed hard against Di Mingzhe’s crimson thin ones.

Di Xiaxia’s eyes widened in shock.
