Love You for the Rest of My Life

Chapter 1323: Will There Be Pressure?

Chapter 1323: Will There Be Pressure?

The next day

Di Xiaxia also appeared on the interview program, naturally accompanied by Di Mingzhe.

Their interview was very low-key; they went to the TV station where the couple sat quietly together, matching perfectly and appearing strikingly noticeable.

Di Xiaxia had long become a figure of great interest in Empire, not just with media interviews, but also with numerous fashion magazines inviting Di Xiaxia to shoot covers.

Because Di Xiaxia’s appearance and figure were truly top-notch, all offers had been declined.

To be exact, Di Mingzhe didn’t like it; he didn’t want a bunch of homebodies fantasizing over photos of his wife.

The two of them and the host sat in the interview room, accompanied by many in the audience, as the interview officially began.

The interview naturally started with discussions about extreme sliding, with the host asking many professional questions, to which Di Xiaxia also responded very professionally. Through her professional answers, everyone gained a deeper understanding of extreme sliding.

As the conversation went on, the host asked Di Mingzhe, "So, Mr. Vice President, do you also support your wife’s career? Are you not very concerned about your wife’s safety?"

"Of course, there are concerns," Di Mingzhe replied, "but the support is definite as well because she likes it, and it’s something she’s proud of. I can’t restrict her development just because I’m worried. Besides, she’s a professional in this field, and she definitely has her own methods for safety."

The host nodded, "We can understand that, after all, extreme sliding does seem quite dangerous. Did you know about the pregnancy when you decided to compete? Was there any disagreement over this issue?"

"Yes," Di Mingzhe nodded and said straightforwardly, "At first I was strongly against it."

As he spoke, he turned to look at Di Xiaxia and with a slight smile continued, "She compromised too, for safety, and for the child, giving up the competition. But I knew she still had a strong desire to compete, especially after training for so long."

"Then how did you negotiate in the end?" the host asked curiously.

"Because my family supports her," replied Di Mingzhe, "My mother said that you can’t use the name of love to bind her; as a qualified husband, one must stand fearlessly behind her, and even in the event of an accident, bear it together with her. That’s what being a couple is about. So after much consideration, we ultimately decided to support her participation."

"Wow, that includes support from your mother," the host said in astonishment, "It seems your mother is also a remarkable woman. Without her strong support, we might not have our champion today."

"Yes," Di Xiaxia nodded, "My mother, who is also my mother-in-law, is a very great woman."

"You both seem very happy," the host said enviously, "Growing up together from a young age, you’re practically childhood sweethearts. After more than a decade, it turned into love; there must have been quite a journey through your minds."

Di Xiaxia nodded with a smile.

The host looked at the two and said, "Forgive me for revisiting the past, but does it bring any pressure?"

"Actually, not really," Di Mingzhe answered first, "The so-called pressure is just the public’s attention, which due to my profession might be magnified and even exaggerated. But if I were just an ordinary person, there wouldn’t actually be any talk of pressure at all."

Di Mingzhe was speaking the truth; if he were just an average person, then at most the interest would come from friends and neighbors. But as the Vice President, the attention was undoubtedly much greater.

The so-called pressure was indeed related to his profession.
