Chapter 1193: Stay, One Room
Chapter 1193: Stay, One Room
"It’s the middle of the night," Di Mingchen looked at his watch as he lifted his hand, "Forget it, I won’t go over there anymore, I’m going back to sleep."
With that, he turned to get out of bed, ready to leave.
"No way," Nangong Ran hastily got out of bed and blocked his way.
"Don’t trust me?" Di Mingchen lifted an eyebrow.
"Hmm," Nangong Ran nodded honestly.
Di Mingchen instantly felt like he was led astray; he couldn’t believe she didn’t trust him!
"So what are you trying to say?" Di Mingchen crossed his arms with a smile, "Do you really need me to stay here in the room with you to feel at ease?"
"I..." Nangong Ran was indeed in a bit of difficulty, letting Di Mingchen go didn’t feel quite right to her, not trusting him; but not letting him go – he had already said he wouldn’t, so should she keep him in the room?
Sharing a room with a man was something she had never done before, damn it, it did feel somewhat awkward.
Furthermore, if she really were to spend the whole night in the same room as Di Mingchen, wouldn’t everyone think they were involved the next day?
After all, if you tell others we just spent a night in a room together, not many would believe it.
It’s not necessarily about suspecting a romp, but wouldn’t they at least think something happened?
So now that he agreed not to bother Nangong Jin, is it really a bit off if she keeps him here?
"Cut the chit-chat, just tell me, leave or stay?" Di Mingchen looked at Nangong Ran, his lips curving slightly into a smile, "You decide."
"I guess you should stay," Nangong Ran finally said, "You take the bed, I’ll sleep on the sofa."
"Why sleep on the sofa?" Di Mingchen raised an eyebrow, his hand reaching for the buttons on his collar. He was wearing a dark green shirt today, which made his overall look elegant and imposing, with his back and long legs so straight it was striking, always carrying a resolute air that was intimidating yet admirable.
For a moment, Nangong Ran was caught off guard, as his strong presence had always been well concealed; at home and with friends he was gentle, but why did it seem to surface now?
Was it really because she wasn’t all that familiar with him?
When she came to her senses, she saw that he had already undone a few buttons on his shirt, revealing a glimpse of his sturdy chest. Nangong Ran was instantly mesmerized. What was he trying to do?
While she was still bewildered, Di Mingchen just lay on the bed, staring straight at her, and leisurely said, "We might as well sleep in the bed together."
Nangong Ran nearly burst into tears, damn it, she wanted her cute and cuddly second brother back!
"Maybe not," Nangong Ran swallowed hard, "You are a married man, you should be more reserved. I’ll just sleep on the sofa, I definitely won’t compete with you for the bed."
Nangong Ran said and then dashed to the sofa where she sprawlingly flopped down.
Di Mingchen couldn’t help but laugh, his lifted lips charming.
Then he slowly got up and started undressing.
Nangong Ran immediately widened her eyes, blurting out without thinking, "What the hell, second brother, what on earth are you trying to do?"
"Taking off clothes," Di Mingchen answered as if it was the most natural thing, even questioning her, "Don’t you take off your clothes to sleep?"
I’d strip your great big cross, Nangong Ran instantly felt like cursing.
Yes, I take off my clothes to sleep, but I’m not sleeping alone, hello!
Feeling utterly speechless, Nangong Ran looked at him and earnestly nodded, "Yes, you’re supposed to take off clothes for sleep, but don’t you think this is inappropriate given the current situation?"
