Chapter 1010: From Now On, Call Her Sister-in-Law
Chapter 1010: From Now On, Call Her Sister-in-Law
Nangong Ran laughed heartily, finding himself inexplicably happy.
Seeing that they had no further role to play, the adults left, leaving only a few children behind.
Di Jinxuan had noticed Shi Mo, and after he finished speaking with Gu Qibao and the others, she made her way over.
Excitedly, she said to Shi Mo, "Little Shi Mo, do you remember me?"
Shi Mo turned his gaze toward Di Jinxuan, his eyes suddenly brightening, then he lowered his gaze and replied, "Yes, Miss Xuanxuan, it’s been a long time, I hope all is well with you."
Di Jinxuan was quite pleased, not expecting Shi Mo to speak so eloquently, so she laughed and said, "Haha, ’all is well’ indeed."
Nangong Jin felt annoyed on the side, the look in the boy’s eyes said it all; he dared to fancy his future wife—had he grown too bold?
Nangong Jin stood there, also beaming, and asked leisurely, "So, Little Shi Mo, do you remember me as well?"
Shi Mo looked up at Nangong Jin without hesitation and blurted out, "Young Master Nangong."
"Not bad," Nangong Jin said with a smile forming on his lips. "You have a good memory, but from now on, you can’t call her Miss Xuanxuan anymore."
As Nangong Jin spoke, he turned his gaze toward Di Jinxuan, and without waiting for her reaction, he wrapped one arm around her shoulder and pulled her into his embrace, "From now on, you must call her sister-in-law, understood?"
"What are you raving about?" Di Jinxuan glared at him.
Nangong Jin laughed, "Wife, don’t make a fuss."
These shamelessly thick-skinned actions left Gu Qibao and the others collectively speechless, unsure of what expression to wear.
Shi Mo was stunned for a full two seconds before he realized that the large group standing there had no reaction to Nangong Jin’s words, and they were even looking at the two with grins.
Were Miss Xuanxuan and Young Master Nangong together?
Shi Mo’s eyes dimmed with heaviness, but ultimately, he respectfully lowered his head and said, "Understood."
Nangong Jin’s mood suddenly improved, and he laughed heartily, "Come on, let’s go in and eat."
"It seems I’ve arrived a bit late," a voice suddenly interjected. Gu Qibao looked over to find, to her surprise, it was Bo Chenghe.
She blinked in disbelief. Hadn’t Bo Chenghe gone abroad?
While she was still shocked, Bo Chenghe had already approached, handing her a present and smiling in that ever-familiar way, "Congratulations, my Miss Qibao, on becoming a mother. I’m genuinely happy for you."
"How did you come back?" Gu Qibao blurted out, clearly surprised.
"You’re going to be a mother, how could I not come back to offer my congratulations?" Bo Chenghe replied with a smile, looking much more at ease than when he had seen Di Mingjue earlier.
Gu Qibao chuckled, "Thank you, I’m glad you remembered."
It’s good that you remembered that we were once friends, that we used to party together.
Bo Chenghe nodded, "I’ve always remembered, nothing has changed. I just went abroad to study."
After he finished speaking, he turned his gaze to Di Mingjue, "Congratulations, Duke. I wish you and Qibao everlasting happiness."
Di Mingjue nodded, "Since you’re here, come in and join us for the meal."
Bo Chenghe smiled and then turned to Nangong Ran and Di Jinxuan, "How are you two doing?"
"Pretty good," Nangong Ran nodded, giving a succinct answer.
Di Jinxuan also smiled, "We’ve always been doing well."
We’ve been fine even without you here.
"That’s good to hear," Bo Chenghe said with a light smile, his gaze lingering on Di Jinxuan’s face, unwilling to move away.
He wasn’t too surprised to see Nangong Jin and Di Jinxuan arm in arm, as he knew the relationship between these people.
But he hadn’t expected Nangong Jin to be pursuing Di Jinxuan; he simply thought they were good friends.
