Chapter 362: Don’t think that having an Era makes you overconfident!

Five years of time, her best and most beautiful youth was spent by this man’s side, wearing a mask of gentle charm, smiling brilliantly by his side, obeying him, and being docile.Nicole felt a bit dazed, her gaze turned deep and distant.

Five years of time should evoke feelings even towards a domesticated animal, let alone him who had adored her for five years and was the only man who had ever had her.

Her gaze was somewhat hazy, a pallor graced her face, her pitiful demeanor stirred his heart.

Thinking back on those times they shared, and now she’s pointing a gun at him, Jose Floyd’s eyes turned incredibly cold. He reached out and swiftly seized the gun placed before his chest.

Nicole snapped back to reality, but it was all too late. His actions were swift and effortless, snatching the gun from her hand with ease.

Nicole’s face turned ashen. A master truly remains a master, she, as his disciple, was utterly defenseless against him!

Jose Floyd held the gun, his eyes shining with a cold light.

Nicole curled her lips into a pale yet exquisite smile and softly said, "I only hope you won’t harm those family members I have a blood relationship with in this world." She finished speaking, and slowly closed her eyes.

Did she think he was going to kill her? Jose Floyd tightened his grip on the gun, looking at the person with closed eyes before him, his gaze became complicated.

She hurt him, he indeed should wish for her death, because she approached him, deceived him, and he despises being deceived the most! However---- he never once thought of wanting her dead, never.

Jose Floyd looked at her, slowly raised the hand holding the gun.

A loud "bang" erupted, gunfire echoed throughout Clearflower Estate.

The anticipated pain didn’t arrive, Nicole slowly opened her eyes, just in time to see the expansive floor-to-ceiling window shatter instantly into pieces, scattering all over the ground...

Jose Floyd turned indifferently, coldly instructed Camden behind him, "Send her back to the Seys Family!" Then he strode upstairs.

His back was exceptionally cold; Nicole’s eyes reddened slightly as she watched.

"Miss Seys, please."

Camden’s voice sounded in her ear, Nicole withdrew her gaze, her expression clear and cold, and stepped outside.

She had just reached the door when Jose Floyd’s cold voice came from the stairs, "Go back and tell your brother, don’t think you can be reckless just because of Era! The grave consequences will make him regret it!"

Nicole froze, turned around to look, but Jose Floyd’s figure had already vanished at the stairway entrance.

Nicole withdrew her gaze, which was clear and profound, stepped outside, followed closely by Camden.

What did Jose Floyd mean? What warning is he using her to deliver to her brother? How did her brother offend him?

Apart from the grievances between her and him, she truly couldn’t figure out where her brother might have offended Jose Floyd.

In terms of business, her brother runs a legitimate enterprise, whereas Jose Floyd is involved in shady underground smuggling and dark transactions, how could there be a conflict of interest?

After Nicole returned to the Seys Family, she had a lingering fever and was rushed to the hospital overnight. It wasn’t until the third day that her condition stabilized and the fever subsided.

When Arlo Seys and Ariel Morris arrived at the hospital to visit Nicole, they found a strange man standing in Nicole’s hospital room, his silhouette aloof and cold, exuding a strong aura. Between Nicole and the unfamiliar man, there seemed to be something very amiss, though it couldn’t be articulated.

Arlo Seys and Ariel Morris exchanged glances and walked into the hospital room.

"Brother, Ariel." Upon seeing the two enter, Nicole subconsciously glanced at the person standing by the window and when looking at Arlo, a layer of worry emerged in her eyes, her fingers instinctively clutching the blanket.

"Nicole, how did you suddenly catch a fever? You were perfectly fine before leaving that day... Ah!..." As Ariel approached, she recognized who the indifferent silhouette by the window was and exclaimed in surprise.
