Chapter 245 – Friendly duel – Part 2.

(Earth. Water. Ice.) – thought Thauma as the two fighters had a stand off once again, awaiting the other

(Each dangerous in its own way.)

(She is also fast and can quickly cast basic magic.)

(Need to catch her off guard.) – thought Thauma as it reached for the ground once again.

Thauma dug its claws into the ground, before then tearing off a chunks of earth, equipping every single hand of the golem with it.

Afterwords Thauma began running towards the vampire, while throwing two of the rocks at the foe.

Porai countered with a quick dodge, avoiding one projectile while using ice magic to form a small shield which blocked the second rock, shattering on the impact.

(He is really dead set on close combat.) – thought Porai as Thauma was quickly closing up the distance, alarming the vampire who fired off a daggers of ice.

[Enchantment: Defense]

Thauma responded by simple applying simple defensive enchantment on the surface of his arms, which it used to easily block off the ice blades, making them shatter upon coming to contact with Thauman’s defense.

Thauma continued running at full speed towards vampire who quickly backed away, gaining more distance.

In response to that, Thauma threw two more rocks at Porai and then the two remaining ones at the vampire.

(Again?) – thought Porai who aimed to quickly dodge the attacks with ease like before while deploying a small shield to block off against the remaining rocks.

However, as the rocks came closer, Porai realized that something wasn’t right.

The two rocks at front were emanating mana.

The two thrown junks of earth blew up right in the Porai face like grenades, unleashing shrapnel and eruption of mana that shattered Porai’s ice shield and dealing some damage to the vampire, but not much thanks to the vampire’s bikini armor special ability.

"!"

(FUCK!) – thought Porai as she quickly regained the balance after getting blasted, only to then quickly dodge in time one of the rocks that almost smashed into her face.

(I wasn’t exciting this!) – thought Porai as Thauma used the explosions as opening to quickly use [Enchantment: Speed], boosting its own.

Not only that, the speed that the golem was using before wasn’t its full speed.

It was deceiving Porai and that caught the woman off guard.

[Water Magic: Water Blast]

Porai tried stopping Thauma in tracks by unleashed a stream blast of water.

The blast didn’t gave Thauma any time to dodge, forcing the golem to once again raise up its defense with the arm and blocked the much more powerful strike.... But even so, it wasn’t enough to stop Thauma, only slow it down for a moment.

(Yeah. This is bad.) – thought Porai as instead of aiming to gain more distance waited for Thauma, who finally reached the vampire.

Thauma unleashed swings and thrust towards the vampire, who responded with ice magic defense, forming a layer of thick ice barrier in front of her, which blocked some of the attacks.

However, this defensive wall wasn’t enough to deal with all the arms.... But it didn’t needed to.

Porai dodged some of the attacks while also backing away, showing off her speed, before then counter attacking by sprouting a pillar of earth from the ground, hitting Thauma, who in response smashed the attack with his fist before it even hit.

(Huh... Interesting.) – thought Ariava as she observed the two fighters continued fighting, with Porai being on the full defensive, trying to dodge attacks while also moving around and using her own earth magic to counter some of the Thauma’s claws.

(No wonder she wore a bikini armor.)

(She is really fast.)

(Not only that, she can quiet quickly cast spells.)

(But at the same time, Thauma isn’t really "weak" per say.) – thought Ariava as Porai had trouble blocking some of the Thauma strikes with the earth magic alone, forcing the vampire to quickly use ice magic to bolster her defense further.

(Thauma was really not "rotting", he knows how to fight.)

(Not only that, he knows how to perfectly use every single one of his limbs all at once.)

(Now... I think it is enough.)

(Don’t you think? Porai.)

Thauma thrusted all six of its arms like a spears towards Porai after breaking her ice barrier, aiming for the brutal finisher.

However, as Thauma thrusted its claws towards the vampire, a wall of ice suddenly manifests in front of the golem.

The claws dug into the ice, but they didn’t managed to break through it completely, resulting in the vampire not getting harmed.

"!"

(Tough?!) – thought alarmed Thauma as in the right next second, the woman unleashed a thick block of ice, which shattered the wall and smashed right into the golem, pushing it back.

"Okay. I think this is enough basic testing." – said Porai as began manifesting water and gathering earth around.

"I’m going to try and kill you now."

[Earth Magic: Rock Throw]

Porai unleashed a blade of water fallowed up with several rocks fired like a cannons, alarming Thauma who quickly deployed a wall of earth, trying to block incoming projectiles.

"!?"

However, Thauma quickly realized how much Porai was holding back, as its wall was pretty much instantly shattered on the spot, resulting in Thauma getting hit.... But even so, it was nowhere enough to cause any proper damage.

[Ice Magic: Ice Slash]

But Porai wasn’t done, as she unlashed yet another slash, this time of time of ice.

Thauma quickly used its arms, forming a defensive wall which took on the blade of ice head on.

"Hey. Are you holding back?" – asked Porai.

"Or is this all."

"If it is, then I will really kill you." – said Porai as she unleashed two more blades of ice towards the golem, not giving Thauma a moment of rest as the golem once again used its arms to defend against the attack while also using simple enchantment to boost its defense.

But Porai wasn’t still done.

Earth.

Water.

Ice.

She was constantly switching between elements, firing one attack after another nonstop.

The roles were instantly reversed.

Thauma was now the one on the full defense, usings arms or earth magic to try to defend itself.

But Porai was showing non.

Thauma defensive lines with earth magic were quickly torn apart, causing the golem to get hit directly.

"..."

(I’m hitting him... But he is barely taking any damage.) – thought Porai as she was firing nonstop her attacks without rest.

(Does this body possess item skills?)

(Or maybe.... This is the power of these Forget Skills?)

Porai wasn’t showing any bit of mercy, while at the same time not letting her guard down.

Her attacks were going through, but at the same time, they were barely doing any damage.

Not only that, Thauma was resisting getting pushed back, making the distance gab between the two only get bit.

This alone made Porai guard to be raised up... And for a good reason.

Thauma raised one of its foot and then smashed it into the ground, causing the two blades of earth to suddenly sprout out moments later near Porai’s location.

"!" – but the vampire, once again, was able dodge the attacks by leaping backwards.

(He casted spell with his feet?) – thought Porai.

"But do you really think that this will work this time?!" – shouted Porai as she unlashed four blades of water towards the golem, which quickly traversed the battlefield, not giving the golem time to once again try and dodge, forcing the golem to once again block off the attacks with its arms, causing the golem to take some damage.

Thauma tried instantly reaching towards the ground, but Porai wasn’t having it as she unlashed yet another barrage of strikes.

However, a solid constructed building like wall suddenly emerged in front of Thauma, blocking off the attacks with ease this time.

"!?"

(This is different one!) – thought Porai as she instantly realized that the defense that Thauma had deployed was noticeable tougher.

Porai continued her assault, ripping apart the new wall, unleashing several powerful strikes that straight up made the sturdy wall life just end extremely quickly.

But that moment of piece was enough for Thauma to finish casting its next spell as the ground between the two started coming to life.

"?!"

(Did he created golem on the spot?!) – thought Porai as the standard type golem emerged from the ground and swung down its massive arm, aiming to crush Porai.

But again, the vampire pure agility proven itself useful as the woman leaped to the side, easily dodging the massive blow.

However, as she dodged the attack, another one came directly at her.

The grenade earth chunks.

Porai deployed her wall of ice, protecting herself as the grenades blew up against her wall’s surface, destroying the barrier.

The barrier was pretty much unleashed in extreme hurry, making it not really stable... But still, it did blocked off the blasts from hitting the vampire.

But Thauma wasn’t done, because as soon as it threw the grenades it instantly started casting a new spell and quickly charged it up, unleashing a sphere of violent arcane magic.

Porai only choice was to quickly leap to the side, dodging the sphere of magic, but not its blast as the projectile exploded, hitting the woman.

Porai managed to avoid the direct blast, but still, she was hit.

And this alone, made Ariva smile.

(Creating golem, unleashing several of these bomb rocks and even firing off magic bomb on top of that.) – thought Ariva.

[Earth Magic: Earthly Forged Blades]

Thauma was on the offensive again, firing off a blade of earth from the ground towards vampire after getting hit with explosive.... But again, the vampire’s agility dodged the attack.

(He is keep trying to hit me with this thing.) – thought Porai as Thauma fired off mana bolts towards Porai, who quickly used her own earth magic to raise a wall that easily blocked off the projectiles.

(That attack.... It looks like a simple blade made out of earth.... But maybe it wasn’t it?)

(Yeah. I’m keeping an eye out on it. There is good chance that it is somewhat far more deadlier than I think.) – thought Porai as the earth golem rushed at the woman, aiming to smash her once again.

[Ice Magic X Water Magic: Splash Freeze]

Porai countered by splashing a large quantity of water at the construct, which in the next moment froze, resulting in the golem’s movement getting trapped.

[Ice Magic: Brutal Shatter]

And right after that, Porai rushed at the golem and placed her hand on the frozen ice, before then shattering it alongside the golem, destroying the golem right on the spot.

"!"

(She destroyed the earth golem THAT quickly?!) – thought alarmed Thauma.

"..."

"Heh."

"This is fun." – said Porai.

(But still, nowhere near enough to satisfy me.) – thought Porai as she assumed combat position once again.
