Chapter 208 208 – Crow Watchers VS Golem Dungeon – Part 3.

"The fuck is this?" – said the knight captain as a group of soldiers were stopped by 4 massive knight golems with four arms.

The four golems which stood over 3 meters towered over the soldiers, while being equipped with way more refined armor compare to the any knight golem that the adventurers had encountered, as well as equipped with 2 shields and 2 halberds, each weapon being wielded by a separated arm.

The halberds were equipped with massive axe blade as well as long pike, while the shields were equipped with several blade spikes on their edges, giving the weapon a deadly short-range attacks.

(These guys?!) – thought the black knight captain as he remembers reading about the monsters in front of him in the report.

(They were one of the monsters that stood out the most in the report written by the Silver Talons alongside few other golems who had noticeable small amount of them.)

(….Only 4.)

(Still…. The amount of mana which I sense coming from each of them is somewhat alarming.)

(They are definitely not some weaklings.)

(By any chances…. Are they dungeon bosses?)

"Break through! We can't waste time on-"

However, right as the captain tried giving command, one of the giant four armed knights stepped forward and instantly thrusted forward its polearm's pike at the black knight captain, alarming the man who just in time parried the strike.

(Fast!?) – thought the surprised knight captain as he then went for the counter attack with his sword, only for the golem shield arm to block off the attack, completely enduring the hit with ease.

The golem then swung its second polearm at the man, forcing him to quickly step away in order to avoid incoming blade.

"CAREFUL! THESE GUYS SEEMS TO BE ANNOYING!" – shouted the knight captain as all the boss monsters began swinging their polearms around, causing chaos to occur as the soldiers tried standing their ground.

One of the bigger knights quickly stand up against the boss monster and used his great shield toe easily block off both strikes.

"Now! Get him!" – shouted the massive knight as the soldiers began launching series of strikes against the knight golem, which tried defending itself with its shields, but the number of blows were clearly too many for to golems to block them all.

"!?"

"THE HELL!?" – however, the soldiers quickly realized something, even when landing solid perfect blows on the golem.

The golem body was more than tough enough to endure their regular hits.

"Tch!"

The knight captain suddenly launched itself with incredible speed and smashed his sword against the held back golem, landing a solid blow that pushed back the golem and this time visible left a mark on its body.

"…"

"I knew it." – said the knight captain as the golem was still standing after receiving the powerful strike.

"These bastards are dungeon's boss monsters." – said the black knight captain as the damaged golem tried going for him, only for the great shield wielding knight to step in and smash the golem with his massive shield, damaging and knocking back golem.

"…"

The knight captain looked behind himself and noticed the earth golems taking a lot of damage… The man realized that the rate things are going, they will be destroyed.

(So that is their plan.) – thought the annoyed knight captain.

"KNOCK THEM TO THE SIDE!" – shouted the man.

"WE DON'T NEED TO DESTORY THEM! JUST KNOCK THEM DOWN AND MAKE A PATH!"

"DESTORY AT LEAST ONE OF THEIR LEGS AND WE CAN JUST RUN PAST THEM!" – shouted the knight captain as he suddenly had a second burst of speed, instantly closing up the distance between himself and one of the golems, before then smacking them right in the back of their knee.

"?!" – however, as the man struck the joint, he realized that the part had extra layer of protection, before moments later being forced to back away in order to dodge the shield bash.

"...Annoying."- said the man as he once again rushed at the golem.

"[Macht Swordsmanship: Conquering]!" – the man swung his sword at the golem joint once again, this time unleashing a powerful blow that visible dealt massive amount of damage to the golem knee, which ended up stagnating the constructed a bit… But only its mobility as it once again started swinging around its weapons, putting pressure on the knight who parried blow after blow.

(This guy is definitely problematic.) – thought the knight captain who was on defense.

(Not only it has extremely high defense, but it can also noticeable fast swing around those weapons… While also having enough blows to back them all up.)

"…"

(I can beat him alone.)

(But the problem is time.) – thought the knight captain as an arrow fallowed up by a red light stuck the golem's back and exploded.

"…"

"More power, eh?" – said the archer with red bow manifest flames within his palm, which then took on the form of a bright red arrow, which the man then shot again at the golem, causing another explosion on impact.

"CAPTAIN! THE GOLEMS ARE COMING AT US FROM REAR!" – shouted the soldier as the earth golems were getting destroyed and the backliners were already getting shot at by the crossbow golems.

"Tch! DO IT!" – shouted the knight captain.

"!"

The archer began gathering large amount of fire within his palm, before then forging it into yet another arrow…. But this time, being way different compare to his previous arrows.

The archer fired the arrow right in the spot behind all the golems, hitting the ground and instantly causing a massive explosion that managed to stagnate two of the boss golems, giving the soldiers a chance to put up a pressure.

And in that exact moment, the black knights began their assault on the two other boss monsters, instantly putting a noticeable amount of pressure on them and stacking up damage.

And while all of that was happening, the scout golem was observing the situation from afar.

(This is bad.) – thought Thauma as it was using the scout golems scope ability.

(These knights in black armor are far more dangerous that I've thought….)

(I've thought the knight boss monster type 1 would be able to hold them in tracks for moment… But at the rate things are going, they will be able to get past them.)

(My golems are already approaching them from behind and their mages and tanks are already being forced on the defense.) – thought Thauma as it saw crossbow and ballista golems firing their shots at the enemy's defensive line.

(They are enduring…. This isn't good.) – thought Thauma as it controlled a crab like different looking monkey like golem, which began releasing tied up ropes, which upon getting lose began instantly moving at the rapid rate from a tree to tree, before moments later causing the held in place logs to get lose, causing them to swing straight towards the soldiers.

"!"

"LOGS!" – shouted the soldier before then getting hit right in the face with one of the logs, causing the man and few other people to get knocked or sent flying as the logs smashed into the army.

"IGNORE THEM! FOCUS ON DEALING WITH THOSE FUCKERS!" – shouted the knight captain as he blocked off the boss monster blades, before then knocking them back and giving the archer a chance to shot the golem right in already damaged knee from behind, causing yet another explosion that ended badly damaging the golem, resulting in the boss monster having its movement now taking extremely solid hit.

"!"

"NOW! DEAL WITH THIS ONE!" – shouted the knight captain as the trio of black knights all assaulted one of the boss monsters, stacking up damage and giving the archer opening to fire yet another explosive arrow that took out second boss monster's knee.

"THIS WAY! COMMON!" – shouted the knight captain as the opening shown itself, allowing the soldiers to ran pass the two boss monsters who kept tried chasing after them and attacking.

The two remaining boss monsters which still had their ability to walk instantly went after the soldiers, running after them, but the mages with earth magic were able to hold off the creatures by hindering manipulating earth below them, causing their legs to sink a bit into small holes, while the archer wielding explosives arrows hindered their attempts at trying to get rid of annoyance in their way.

(Already?!) – thought Thauma.

(How?!)

(I mean, it was only 4, but they…. FUCK!) – thought pissed off Thauma.

"KEEP UP! MAGES! USE EARTH MAGIC TO HINDER THESE FUCKERS!" – shouted the knight captain as the golems were catching up to the fleeing soldiers.

"GOT IT!" – replied the roped mages as they began firing off the earth magic at randomly, causing the terrain to change and get more difficult to traverse for the golems, which did somewhat slowed down the creatures… But did not stopped their crossbows as the volleys of shots were keep being fired at them.

However, they were able to block off the shots somewhat, with the defenders and mages taking action, resulting in the damage suffered by the army to be minimalized.

(Oh common! How?!) – thought Thauma.

(Their reaction time, cooperation and distribution of power… It is way too perfect…)

(Adventurers and soldiers, I've fought before never had those kind of reactions…. This is truly not good.)

(I've thought I would be able to easily kill them all once I went all out.)

(…But by the looks of things, I was completely wrong.) – thought Thauma as the soldiers started making some distance, while the two boss monsters dealt with the holes that trapped their legs and instantly began running after the army.

The red bow archer tried blowing up the boss monsters again, but this time they were able to block off their attacks with shields.

"…"

The archer manifest much stronger arrow once again, but this time not aiming at the golems, but instead letting his arrow lose on the tree, blowing the side of it off and causing the tree to start slowly cracking, before then snapping.

The massive tree fell down right as the two boss monsters were running near it, causing the tree to straight up fell on top of them.

"It won't hold them for long! They are catching up!" – shouted the red bow archer as he continues firing his explosive arrows.

"…"

"Hey, are we making completely run out of it? Or are we heading to the place where no traps are present?"- asked the black knight with a spear.

"No. We are leaving this forest completely." – said the black knight captain.

(Forget the traps, something was way off with the four boss monsters suddenly appearing out of blue FROM RIGHT BEHIND US.) – thought the knight captain as the army continues running while the golem behind continues getting rid off the annoyance in their path and restart their chase, including also the boss monster getting rid off the tree which landed on top of them.

(How did those ended up behind us without us noticing any traces…. Yeah…. This isn't normal.)

(Did dungeon master used some sort of trick to hid them?)

(If that is the case, where were they?)

(Is by any chance the whole forest now filled with traps?)

(We still haven't sustained any real and proper losses and I plan to keep it this way.)

"!"

"Hostiles!" – shouted the black knight on the right as he saw movements amongst the trees.

"SAME HERE!" – shouted the soldier from the left side as he alongside several other soldiers spotted figures moving amongst the trees.

The figures began approaching the army at the rapid speed… And before long, the soldiers saw the new enemies.

The hound golems, which also bear a brand-new appearance.

"FAST MOVING ENEMIES INCOMING FROM BOTH SIDES!" – shouted the soldier.

(Oh great, first traps, then boss monsters and now some fast-moving ones?) – thought the black knight captain as he looked behind himself and saw the army of golems from afar as well as the defenders' formation.

"…"

"DEAL WITH THE FAST-MOVING ONES QUICKLY! WE DON'T WANT THEM HARASING US!" – shouted the knight captain as the army instantly came a halt as the beastly golems came running.

And before long, the beast golems finally caught up to them, with one of the hound golems leaping into the air.

"I got him!" – said the black knight with a spear as he rushed in and confronted the hound golem as it was about to land.

"…"

(Well… They may had gotten past the boss monsters… Way easier than I've had thought… But still, they did bought them few seconds to catch up to army.) – thought Thauma.

(Honestly, they may escape at this rate….)

(But I will make absolutely sure that I will kill as many of them as possible.)

The spearman weapon struck the hound golem as it landed, dealing a powerful blow to the golem.

"?"

However, right as the man did, a powerful mana reaction came out from the golem's body.

"!?"

"RUN!" – shouted the knight captain… But there was no time.

The golem blew up, unleashing a devastating explosion that swallowed several soldiers, including the spear knight who took the blast right in the face.

(My bomb hounds will make sure that they won't leave this place unscratched.) – thought Thauma as the wave of hound golems was running straight towards the invaders.
