Chapter 203 203 – Analyzing “guns”.

(This gun…. There is magic coming from every single part of it.) – thought Thauma as it was inspecting the revolver.

(This is…. Magic metal.)

(This isn't all.) - thought Thauma as it picked up one of the bullets and sense mana coming from it.

(This isn't normal bullet either?) – thought Thauma as it then began dissembling the bullet carefully with its tools.

(I knew it.) – thought Thauma as it held projectile in its hands.

(This thing isn't only magic metal, but a crafted object.)

(The other parts… They look normal.)

(Gunpowder and casting… From my point of view at least.)

Thauma put a single bullet into the gun and then began walking away from the table…. Before then arriving at the set up small training area with few thick wooden dummies were standing.

The golem took aim with the gun, trying to aim the barrel of the gun at the dummy torso…. Before the bulling a trigger, firing the gun and hitting the dummy right in its chest, ripping apart its wooden body as bullet tore through the wood.

"…."

(The gun… Is definitely easier to handle compare to the other one… And the attack power… It looks bit stronger.) – thought Thauma as it inspected the wooden dummy which sustained massive amount of damage from the impact.

(If my golem back then would get hit by it… Maybe that man would had chance to escape?)

(He can fire this thing 6 times, right?)

(Not only that, but I've found more of these bullets on his body.)

(Still… Something isn't right.)

(I…. Never made gun… But with these kind of bullets and these empowerments, is this gun really just THAT powerful?)

(It is…. Bit disappointing?)

(I mean, the power is there.)

(It can definitely kill a human, even one who is wearing protection.)

(This dummy is quiet thick, but the bullet managed to lodge itself quiet deep into it.)

(Basic armor may not handle this bullet.)

(…I will go and appraisal it.) – thought Thauma as it took the gun and walked through the workshop… Before then arriving at an altar like object, which the golem the put gun on top of it, before then activating the altar.

(The effect…. Hm… Mana reaction…. Is it by any chance…. Yeah… I think I need to inject mana into it.) – thought Thauma as it stopped using the altar before then grabbing the gun.

The golem began injecting its own mana into the gun… And instantly, the golem felt something.

Upon discovering what it just did, the golem walked back the testing zone and fired the gun at the undamaged dummy.

And this time?

The bullet completely shredded the thick wooden dummy, destroying its body completely.

(Okay… That is nice…. Yet dangerous power.)

(This weapon does seems to use up a LOT of mana to just fire a single shot…. However.)

(The bullet had speed.)

(Armored golems may endure the hit somewhat, but it will definitely wreck them… If not possible destroy them if the damage is stacked enough.)

(And that man had this kind of weapon in his possession?)

(What about the rest of that "empire"?)

(Do all of them have that kind of weapons?)

(I did saw single adventurer amongst the last attackers who used a gun… But their gun did not looked very impressive AND there were nobody using this kind of guns.)

(I would had noticed instantly.)

(If the enemy comes here using these kind of weapons…. This maybe truly problematic.)

(My main advantage of my golems is their defensive power.)

(The enemy won't be able to fire a volley of bullets and take them down. They will be able to tank the shots.)

(Especially the earth golems.)

(Even if the shot blows away parts of their bodies, as long as the core is intact, the golem will be always able to completely recover.)

(Simple put… I'm not really scared of "guns"… But still.)

(This gun does bothers me.)

(It does posses' quiet amount of power if you put mana into it.)

(And if enemy posses' multiple copies of the same gun as this…. It could pose some trouble.)

(Not only that, this maybe a weaker gun.)

(What if this isn't the strongest type of gun in the enemy's possession?)

(But still, inspecting this gun did gave me a solid intel about the enemy and their strength.) – thought Thauma as it started walking back to its workshop table.

(Honestly, I don't like this.)

(True, bullet can be recovered, but what about gunpowder?)

(Based on what I seen, a soldi crossbow maybe better a gun…. But still, I can't reject the power and the speed of the projectile.)

(One solid shot can pierce the ribcage or skull, resulting in death.)

(I don't think I will be making golems with guns…. But I could make myself some guns for the personal use.)

(Crossbows and bows have their own problems, they are not perfect.)

(And in some situation…. Yeah, if I had the gun back in some of those situation, maybe I wouldn't really be that close to dying.)

(I can put this gun into my own [Pocket Space] and have it ready just in case…. But maybe I should try making myself my own personal gun.)

(But that is for later.) – thought the golem as it now approached the suitcase.

(I've checked this thing…. Or at least tried to.)

(This device I know it is communication type device…. But at the same time, its existence is "hidden".)

(The mana cannot be detected from this object by normal means AND when I try to do regular appraisal, the results came out "too normal"…. But those can't be real results, since I saw this thing working.)

(The enemy were somehow able to "conceal" the existence of what is inside of that thing… Does that mean they have ways of negates perfectly mana detection abilities?)

(If that is the case, then what if the enemy "uses" that on themselves?)

(It took me sometime to analyze this thing… I didn't finished appraising it, but I found something off around this part here.)

(The buttons to what appears necessary to press in order to open the device…. However, the mana is weirdly present in here… Like… In "faulty way"?)

(But it doesn't really look fault…. Intonational flaw?)

(I made countless mana bombs using crystals and this part here looked way too familiar.)

(But something is off… That man opens it by pressing these two buttons, but the thing didn't blew up…. Do you need to do something to not trigger the explosion?)

(If I screw up, I will destroy it… And I may lose this form of lead…. I will need to be even more careful and patient with this thing if I want to obtain the answer…. But that will take time…. And the enemy won't be fighting long enough for me to open it and extra the information.)
