Chapter 372 - 77: Divine Chosen Lord, Power-Leveling to 50
Chapter 372 - 77: Divine Chosen Lord, Power-Leveling to 50
After two long months of grueling battle, all of Qin Feng’s regular Profession Levels had broken through their caps to reach the second stage’s maximum of level 50. His Four-dimensional Attributes were likewise maxed out at their limit of 20,000 points.
However, his core Profession, Divine Chosen Lord, had only risen by two levels.
Qin Feng already knew the reason for this. In his pursuit of ultimate efficiency and maximized gains from the slaughter, he had not commanded his Divine Chosen Army to face the Void Creatures head-on. Instead, he had charged forward by himself, becoming an Unrivaled force that single-handedly annihilated the vast majority of enemies in the Void Realm.
While this combat style yielded outstanding results for Qin Feng, it also meant his Divine Chosen Lord Profession lost all opportunity to gain command experience.
The situation had been completely different during most of the battles in the first stage of the Lord World.
Back then, although Qin Feng’s personal combat prowess was considerable, he had relied more on tactical coordination, commanding his Divine Chosen Soldiers to work together to kill enemies. As a result, his Divine Chosen Lord level had increased at a steady pace.
’Just as I thought...’
’This Multi-shot Arrow is just too overpowered...’
’And the more enemies I kill, the more my Multi-shot Arrow splits. It’s gotten to the point where I barely need the help of my Divine Chosen Soldiers anymore...’
’Any other conventional Divine Chosen Lord...’
’...could never be a one-man army. They would have to rely on cover and support from their Divine Chosen Soldiers to eliminate more enemies in battle...’
With that thought, Qin Feng stopped dwelling on it and immediately began to devise a plan to rapidly level up his Divine Chosen Lord Profession.
This Profession’s value was far greater than it appeared on the surface. Not only did it proportionally boost the four core Attributes of all allied combatants—strength, agility, Constitution, and Spirit—but it also granted them an increase to their Basic Life Value cap.
The Extra Life Value bonus alone was worth spending a significant amount of time to level it up.
Soon, Qin Feng settled on a combat plan—the optimal solution for power-leveling his Divine Chosen Lord Profession to level 50 before the third stage began.
The answer was naval combat.
More specifically, he would command Deep Sea Giant Beasts like the Kraken and Leviathan to fight the untamable Wild Magical Beasts of the deep.
His reasoning was clear.
These deep-sea Wild Magical Beasts couldn’t be efficiently killed by Qin Feng’s Multi-shot Arrow, as he couldn’t fight underwater. Nor could a Divine Descent-empowered Arthas dispose of them quickly. This made them useless for rapidly stacking Bloodthirsty Layers.
For this very reason, using them to practice his command abilities and raise his Divine Chosen Lord level became the most efficient option. It would prevent wasting the potential kill bonuses while allowing him to precisely acquire the command experience he needed.
Having made his decision, Qin Feng immediately delegated tasks. He assigned the post-war cleanup—tallying statistics, treating the wounded, and hunting down the remaining Void Creatures—to Diablo, Yugudora, and the others.
Once the arrangements were settled, he wasted no more time. Activating the Teleportation ability of his Gate of War Talent, his figure vanished, reappearing the next second near a Gate of War that the Western Island Countries had set up for him in advance.
Qin Feng then retrieved an item from his storage space: the Sea Horn, a gift from the islanders.
He raised the Sea Horn to his lips. A powerful, lingering blast instantly echoed across the coast, its sound waves sending ripples across the surface of the sea.
Once this special Summoning signal sounded, the Kraken, Leviathan, and Cetus deep beneath the waves would sense Qin Feng’s location and swiftly converge on his position.
Soon, the tranquility of the coast was shattered. A deep rumbling echoed from the direction of the open sea, as if an underwater mountain range was on the move.
The murky water suddenly swelled into a Giant Wave dozens of meters high. A massive claw, covered in dark purple Scale Armor, smashed through the churning spray. The Kraken’s barbed tentacles erupted from the water like ancient pythons, each one thick enough to splinter a warship. The sharp teeth on their suckers glinted coldly in the sun as they crushed a nearby reef to dust.
Close behind it, Leviathan’s enormous body slowly rose from the waves. Its slate-gray back was broader than the coastal cliffs, its dorsal fins a continuous ridge of sharp Bone Spikes. The vortex it created as it cut through the water was powerful enough to swallow the entire shoal.
Its low roar shook the coastal rocks, sending pebbles scattering. Its eyes glowed with an eerie blue light, as if they could pierce every inch of the deep sea’s Darkness.
Finally, the Cetus appeared, moving with an uncanny grace. Their forms—human torsos and serpentine tails—weaved nimbly through the waves, their scales glinting with an interwoven sheen of silver and indigo. They clutched spears carved from giant whale bones. A hundred of them leaped from the water in unison. As they landed, the spray they cast ashore shimmered with the faint light of deep-sea pearls. A hiss, like the resonance of a conch shell, issued from their throats, mingling with the roars of the Kraken and Leviathan and shrouding the entire coast in the oppressive presence of the Deep Sea Giant Beasts.
At that moment, a sea breeze carrying a fine spray swept across the coast. The faint blue glow in Leviathan’s eyes flickered, mingling with the subtle squelching of the Kraken’s contracting suckers.
Amidst the roar of the deep-sea Giant Waves crashing against the reefs, Leviathan’s deep voice cut through the wind. Its slate-gray back slowly submerged until it was almost level with the water’s surface, a clear sign of deference.
"Your Majesty Tingfeng!"
"To think you would grace the Western Island Countries with your presence today! Do you have some important task for us?"
The Kraken’s tentacles gently caressed the shattered reefs on the shore, careful not to kick up spray that might disturb Qin Feng. Its dark purple Scale Armor glinted coldly in the salty mist of the Sea of Storms.
