Chapter 265 - 23: Taking on the Entire World (3)

Chapter 265 - 23: Taking on the Entire World (3)

If the Gulad Empire could defeat all its rivals, Flame Emperor Galukasa would become the Heaven’s Chosen Ruler.

Viewed from that angle, the biggest beneficiary would undoubtedly be him.

But the problem is, Flame Emperor Galukasa clearly has simpler, less risky ways to contend for the position of Heaven’s Chosen Ruler.

He has no need to make an enemy of the entire world all at once.

So, I can provisionally conclude that Flame Emperor Galukasa doesn’t want to become the Heaven’s Chosen Ruler himself.

In that case, under the premise that the Gulad Empire is intentionally losing its wars, the beneficiaries would be the Evil God Believers hiding in the shadows. They could use the mutually destructive wars between nations to secretly recruit followers and increase the overall strength of the Evil God Faction.

But Flame Emperor Galukasa doesn’t seem like one of the Evil God Believers.

There’s no reason for him to help these Evil God Believers profit.

Or perhaps, just like the previous hypothesis, Flame Emperor Galukasa has better ways to bring greater benefits to the "Evil God Faction" he supposedly backs.

For instance, he could slowly corrupt the various Five Dragon Generals and Extraordinary Heroes within the empire, making them defect to the Evil God Faction.

He could also lie low, wait for everyone to let their guard down, and then launch a sudden attack, catching all the conventional factions completely off guard.

There’s no need to use such a foolish method as stirring up trouble everywhere. It wouldn’t bring him greater benefits, and it would carry a high risk of exposing his identity as an Evil God Believer.

In that case, if Flame Emperor Galukasa doesn’t want the Gulad Empire to profit, and he doesn’t want the Evil God’s Influence to profit, then the only possibility left is that he wants another Native Power to profit.

And right now, the only one that hasn’t been dragged into the mess is the Dragon Realm in the east.

Huh?

Could he want some Ancient Giant Dragon from the Dragon Realm to become this world’s Heaven’s Chosen Ruler without lifting a finger? Is that why he’s running around, preemptively depleting the military strength of the other Native Powers?

But this brings me back to my earlier point.

Flame Emperor Galukasa could have simply quelled the Evil God disaster within his own borders first, then allied with the strongest power, the Dragon Realm, to conquer the other nations fair and square through military might.

There’s no need to stir up trouble and wage war at this awkward time, creating an opportunity for the Evil God’s Influence to grow.

By the same logic, if he were trying to support another Native Power, he could have just used alliances. After stabilizing all the Void Gates, he could have slowly conquered any defiant rival natives and then actively relinquished the title of Heaven’s Chosen Ruler to whomever he chose.

As the emperor of the Gulad Empire, Flame Emperor Galukasa’s people wouldn’t oppose their monarch’s wishes or insist that he inherit the title of Heaven’s Chosen Ruler.

So, Flame Emperor Galukasa has no reason to punish his people, who are far from unruly, by plunging them into the hellish turmoil of war.

So, if Flame Emperor Galukasa isn’t trying to help anyone and is just starting wars everywhere on his own, hoping this world will drown in a river of blood...

It seems... there’s only one last possibility left...

Has this guy also awakened a kill-based, snowballing Talent, like "Bloodthirsty" and "Recruit Prisoners"?

As long as he keeps fighting wars, can he enhance his own strength and become increasingly Powerful?

So, while the other Native Powers are all frantically dealing with the Evil God disasters in their own territories with no spare capacity to handle anything else, Flame Emperor Galukasa is stirring up conflicts everywhere, taking on three major nations at once, and then relying on this frenzied slaughter to make himself the final winner.

In other words, he’s taking the path of Khorne, the path of endless combat—a path that has always been open to me, Qin Feng, but one I’ve never considered.

To take on the entire world alone.
