Chapter 232 - 9: Speedrun Method, a Fast Track to the Throne

After the "Strongest Lord" event concludes, the growth rate of the Lord Players will experience a significant, explosive surge.

The core purpose of this design is to push the Lord Players to quickly catch up with the development progress of the Native Powers they are allied with, enabling them to become a powerful force capable of influencing the overall situation in the subsequent "King’s War" event.

After all, with the nearly three-month "Newbie Stage" over, the Lord Players have already become familiar with the core settings and gameplay logic of the Lord World. They have transformed from clueless greenhorns fumbling in the dark into seasoned veterans who have mastered the tempo of development and combat strategy.

This is the optimal window to push them to accelerate and catch up to the progress of the native factions.

However, the progress of ordinary players won’t be too exaggerated.

Compared to the first three months of the Newbie Stage, the core change is that the Divine Chosen Soldiers under their command can leverage the Destiny Talents of certain Native Creatures, as well as exclusive growth items from Native Powers, to achieve a more efficient collective growth rate.

Furthermore, the Divine Chosen Spoils that Lord Players obtain after battle will not only increase in quantity but also see a significant improvement in quality.

For example, the drop rate for ordinary equipment and Heroic Equipment of Purple quality and above will increase significantly.

The probability of obtaining Exclusive Skill Books will rise in tandem.

There are also certain building blueprints...

Most importantly, the drop rate for the "Lost Secret Realm Gate Key (Red)"—the prerequisite item for the Book of Extraordinary Promotion, which transforms ordinary heroes into Extraordinary Heroes—will also begin to increase.

Therefore, within a Lord Player’s personal forces, the first Extraordinary Units to emerge are often themselves and the heroes they recruit from Native Powers.

And while the growth efficiency of their Divine Chosen Soldier Types will also improve significantly, cultivating Extraordinary Forces of several hundred, or even several thousand, will still require a very long development period.

This means that for the first few months, or even the first year, after the "King’s War" begins, Lord Players will usually only possess a small number of Extraordinary Level Heroic Units. Their main combat forces will still consist primarily of Mortal Soldier Types from the Ordinary Realm.

At this stage, the core role of Lord Players is to assist the Native Powers they’ve allied with in clearing out the border towns and subordinate forces of enemy factions. This allows them to earn recognition and rewards from the Native Creatures.

Then, by using the special items and books from those rewards, they can increase their own Personal Attribute Points, raise the Personal Attribute Points of their Heroic Units, help their level 6 Soldier Types comprehend Extraordinary Power, and so on.

Once the player base can cultivate at least a dozen or so Extraordinary Soldier Types and Extraordinary Heroes capable of fighting one against ten, they will be qualified to join the main battlefield.

At that point, they can either dispatch their Extraordinary Soldier Types to fight alongside large forces of Zero-star Mortal troops, or they can simply commit their Extraordinary Soldier Types and Extraordinary Heroes to aid the Native Powers.

However, the logic for determining victory in the Mutual Kill Era is simple.

Whichever faction can, through the large-scale strategic sacrifice of their Mortal forces, first annihilate the enemy’s Extraordinary Soldier Types will secure victory for the entire battle.

This is just like in modern warfare: whichever side can coordinate tanks and aircraft with a massive infantry force to first destroy the enemy’s armored units and air power will seize the initiative and achieve ultimate victory.

Extraordinary Soldier Types are the tanks and jets of modern warfare, capable of easily shredding masses of infantry.

Ordinary Soldier Types, on the other hand, are the rifle-wielding infantry who provide cover for these "heavy firepower units" as they advance.

Once one side’s tanks and jets are completely destroyed, they stand no chance against the enemy’s combined force of "jets, tanks, and a few infantry," no matter how many of their own riflemen remain.

Therefore, Lord Players usually choose the second option for engaging in battle.

The Lord themselves will lead all their Extraordinary Heroes and Extraordinary Soldiers, embedding them within the army of the Native Creatures they’ve allied with. They then march together to the front lines to besiege cities and raid strongholds.

Otherwise, directly sending large numbers of Zero-star Divine Chosen Soldiers onto the battlefield would likely result in their entire army being wiped out. They would fail to achieve any decent results and would not receive the special rewards offered by the Native Creatures.

But Lord Players have their own advantages.

The Treasure System, the Talent System, Unique Skills, the Chat System, the Alliance System... all of these can help their Extraordinary Squads gain a massive strategic advantage on the battlefield, allowing them to crush their enemies.

And at this point, the importance of Heroic Units also becomes apparent.

In a one-on-one fight, they might only be able to defeat a few Extraordinary Soldier Types. They might even just trade their life with a particularly strong Extraordinary Soldier, earning themselves a top spot on the "Heroic Hall of Shame."

But on a chaotic main battlefield, the ubiquitous Zero-star Mortal cannon fodder can provide cover, absorb damage, draw fire, and fulfill other support roles.

This creates an extremely comfortable "window for dealing damage" for their own high-level units.

Thus, the damage dealt by these Extraordinary Heroes, who possess Exclusive Talents and multiple Professions, will far surpass that of single-Profession Extraordinary Soldier Types who lack Talents.

Therefore, the mutual-kill logic of this Lord Game is actually designed to make the synergy between various Soldier Types and Heroes the core factor in determining victory.

It’s not about simply crushing the opponent with superior stats.

In this context, an individual’s martial prowess is certainly valuable.

But when opponents coordinate effectively, even just a few hundred Ordinary Soldier Types paired with a handful of Extraordinary Soldier Types can easily one-shot a single Extraordinary Level hero.
