Chapter 181: New Divine technique
Chapter 181: New Divine technique
The memories continued.
Selene started a secret journey to find the other parts of Aetherion.
The reason for that was to find a place called the exiled zone that only a complete Aetherion could find its coordinates.
Aetherion's head told her the sinners' race might still be alive, and they are the only hope for facing Hypermind because they are its creators and know it best.
And even if they are all gone, the exiled zone itself is a great help for them.
They can go there and use it as a base of operation, because the information law of Hypermind can't affect the Exiled zone.
When Selene asked what's special about the exiled zone, it said,
[ The space there is created by the original world law.
The world law before splitting into the underworld and the world above ! ]
Little Mortal frowned,
"Don't they know about Fate? The third part?"
Lilith shook her head,
"No.
They weren't the only ones hiding something, you know."
Little Mortal chuckled,
"Good move, partner !"
Lilith, the only ancient one who had close contact with Fate, never talked about her weak connection with Fate to anyone.
In everyone's eyes, Fate was merely a law without representatives and free from any restrictions.
It was completely unknown how it worked or what its use was.
Only in a unique place like Speedy mainland, some birth treasures and higher beings who were connected to it indirectly appeared, like the goddess of foresight.
Selene's journey continued.
While the two were looking for the missing parts, more and more level 2 civilizations showed up, and a devouring contest began between the mainlands.
The three ancient ones tried to stop them wherever they came across this situation,
But the space was vast, and they couldn't manage the infinite space with all the mainlands scattered around.
Years passed.
Selene finally found all of the missing parts in different universes and Aetherion's body 'assembled'.
Soon, the complete Aetherion locked onto a coordinate, and Selene moved there with her mainland as fast as she could.
Little Mortal chuckled,
"Those sneaky cyborgs and Hypermind really bought so much time using this 'find my body parts' trick!
If I'm not wrong, the other two ancient ones were tricked the same way to waste their time while Hypermind corrupted the rest of the mainland and improved its army in the sealed area!"
And sure enough, when Selene arrived at the location Aetherion led her to, she found two more Aetherion, with the other two ancient ones!
The three sighed and didn't say anything.
They were forced to hide their identity for the same reason.
The three Aetherions, as if trying to contact someone or something, connected to each other.
After an hour, a wormhole opened.
The other side of the wormhole was the last Aetherion out of four, and a familiar cyborg!
"Greetings, seniors!
I am Xyron, the current head of the Divine race.
Welcome to the exiled zone.
Please forgive me for not coming out.
My race is marked as sinner by world law outside, and if I come out, it has consequences for me."
It turned out that the last Aetherion was with Xyron from the sinners' race as a backup plan,
So they could bring those who are outside through the connection with the other three Aetherions and open this wormhole to the exiled zone.
Seraphion was the first to step into the wormhole, and the other two followed.
The scene unfolded before them was only a single advanced planet.
There was no level 2 civilization mainland around it, and no evil mainlands or universes in this space yet.
Only an empty space, and a huge planet in the middle with an artificial sun.
Little Mortal said,
"I was wondering why their mainland wasn't connected to the underworld.
So it was because it wasn't even a mainland to begin with.
It's the sinners' home planet..."
This huge planet was indeed artificial, left behind by the era when they were a type 4 civilization.
All of the remaining sinners, after being exiled, were sent to this planet.
After the three ancient ones met with Zyren and some other cyborgs, they discussed solutions to deal with Hypermind and its corruption.
And not surprisingly, the solution was to bring all of the mainlands from outside to the exiled zone, the space that couldn't be infiltrated by Hypermind's information law.
Xyron guaranteed that their race, which changed its name to 'divine race' in the hope of avoiding past mistakes, can assist even in 'taming' the level 2 civilizations and using them as 'helpers'.
Because their level of civilization was higher, they could handle them easily, and the evil mainlands could be managed by the three ancient ones.
And so, the cooperation between the two sides began.
In her memory, Selene finally told 'Lilith' about her secret, which was Aetherion and Hypermind, and that they finally found a way to stop Hypermind's corruption with the level 3 civilization's help.
Lilith said at this point,
"But what she said in this memory wasn't the same as what I heard.
Back then, she only told me that they found a level 3 civilization that could help.
She didn't say anything about Hypermind, the exiled zone, or their plan to gather all of the remaining mainlands in the exiled zone.
And years after, they only told me about the agents who were working for them, and I should trust them, which I never did."
Little Mortal gasped,
"Hypermind actually changed their message using information law from the start to keep you in the dark!
And after that, it replaced all of the lava seas with the fake versions, and even added a fake 'Queen' in them!
So sneaky!"
Lilith nodded.
This hypermind was indeed sneaky, and it would surely win the final battle easily if another character, more overpowered and more sneaky than itself, didn't show up.
Time passed.
The teamwork between the two sides seems to work perfectly.
Three out of four Aetherions would go out secretly, find the mainlands, and after sending their coordinates, Xyron would open a wormhole there for the three ancient ones to drag them in!
If they brought level 2 civilizations, Xyron would 'tame' them and then force them to work for them.
If they were the evil mainlands, they would receive a beating from the three ancient ones and become obedient.
After a while, when the number of universes coming to the exiled zone with the mainlands reached 10 million, the 10 planets and the 10 agents showed up too.
Xyron informed the ancient ones that they can use these newly discovered planets to help higher beings advance with the complete world law.
Meanwhile, they can extract part of the complete world law and send it to the underworld.
In Selene's memory, after season 1, she asked 'Lilith', who was the fake at this point, about the result.
And Lilith told her it was really good and that they should continue.
Little Mortal rubbed his chin,
"If I'm not wrong, Hypermind came up with this '10 planets' idea for its own secret plan, and Xyron collaborated with it, because he saw the potential in it for his own secret plan!
And the ancient ones thought it was a good idea because of the underworld."
Lilith frowned,
"Hypermind has a secret plan, too?"
She suddenly heard something new!
Little Mortal gasped and covered his mouth!
Lilith knew he said something that she wasn't supposed to know.
The matters related to the sinner's race and Hypermind were hidden in so many layers that she felt a headache.
She thought that seeing Xyron's secret project and her partner, who had already found the 100 million missing universe, were all the secrets.
But it seems there was even more...
Lilith sighed in frustration.
'So many secrets...
At least someone on my side knows about them, so it should be fine, right?'
But looking at her reliable but unstable partner, she didn't know if everything was under control at this moment or not.
The memory continued.
More and more mainlands and universes were added to the exiled zone, and all of the higher beings from these universes were forced to participate in season events.
Each time the participants reached the ninth planet, they could go to the tenth planet and be 'surprised', which was nothing but freedom.
They could stop taking part in the following seasons from then on.
And because they were peak level 8 at that point, they wouldn't come back to their mainlands anymore and would stay in their universes.
Little Mortal shook his head,
"They actually never came out of the tenth planet.
What everyone saw coming out was just a fake version of them, and even their universe!"
Lilith nodded,
"Yes, in Selene's memory, even now, she is seeing more than 100 million universes in the exiled zone, not 7 million like us."
Little Mortal said thoughtfully,
"If I'm not wrong, Information Law isn't an illusion.
It's just about moving information from one place to another or altering it based on the reality of the situation.
For example,
All those universes they saw are probably transferred information from the real ones in those 10 hidden dimensions that Hypermind keeps them.
That's why nobody can tell the difference."
The memory continued.
New mainlands and universes were added, and different seasons of the game were held.
Each season had 9 different themes, with 9 different emotions as the main focus on each planet.
And after that,
There was nothing else in the memory that they didn't know.
While the three ancient ones were being deceived into working for Hypermind and Xyron to complete their secret projects with the thought of helping the underworld's stability,
Outside of the exiled zone, the mainlands were being hunted, devoured, or transformed into level 2 civilizations.
Little Mortal frowned at this point and brought out his notebook, checking some of his notes and adding some new ones related to the seasonal events.
Then he sighed and, while putting the notebook away, said,
"Little Hypermind, your secret plan is so obvious..."
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from NovelBin. Please report it.
Lilith, who heard him, didn't ask anything, but felt slightly at ease and thought to herself,
'He probably knows exactly what Hypermind's secret is.
From my understanding of him, he should already have it under control without leaving a chance of success for Hypermind in whatever secret project it has, or he wouldn't be so relaxed....'
The memory ended with Little Mortal making chaos, and Lilith, who incinerated everything.
Not long after, Little Mortal arrived beside the big ball of raw fate, which was the other end of the golden path, and disappeared.
.....
Planet Lubo.
*BAM*
"Time!"
The whole planet slightly trembled, waking up all the lazy planet managers and alarming everyone at level 6 or higher!
This voice, this power!
The little guardian was back!
The two months of peace were over!
The Crystal vibrated, asking,
It knew its boss slammed the silver platform as a sign for it to stop the timer.
But what timer?
Little Mortal puffed his chest and said,
"The speedrun to 'conquer everything' just finished!"
The Crystal asked in confusion,
Little Mortal paused for a moment and then said,
"Oh, right!
Back then, you weren't born yet.
Ask your main body.
It started when I arrived at the cultivation planet!"
He was referring to the first day he turned 3 years old, when he smashed that space pirate away and entered planet cultivation to begin his journey as its guardian.
After a brief moment, the Crystal received the time from its main body.
<155 days and 20 hours.>
Little Mortal puffed his chest, raised his head, pointed in a random direction, and said,
"And that's how, ladies and gentlemen, you can leave an unbeatable record behind!
Little notebook, write it down!
Little Crystal, let the public know!
Maybe future generations want to try their luck and break the record!"
The notebook vibrated, saying,
The Crystal added the new speedrun record in Little Mortal's channel.
Lilith was shocked at this moment!
Only now she realized everything 'moving' in the whole vast space was basically part of the guardian territory...
Then she felt something and frowned,
"Partner, it seems our guests have arrived."
Little Mortal looked around in surprise,
"Where? Invite them in!"
Lilith rolled her eyes at him,
"How about you turn me back to normal first?
It's not appropriate for me to be this tiny in front of them..."
Little Mortal nodded and turned her back to 'normal'.
The corner of Lilith's eyes twitched when she saw that her face was at the same height as his.
"Partner, don't you think I was a little taller?"
Little Mortal shook his head,
"No, I don't."
The backpack who just come back from accompanying its former master trembled, saying,
Little Mortal gasped,
"No way she was so tall!"
The Crystal also showed him a comparison image of Lilith in her original size.
Little Mortal didn't have a choice but to make her taller while looking at the backpack and Crystal hatefully.
Lilith suspected that he planned to keep her as short as himself for a while!
She took a deep breath to calm herself and showed him a scene from outside the universe.
In the scene, a big marble was moving fast while around 50 level 2 civilizations were being dragged by it.
"Oh, that's our 'Evil' mainland, and those are the 'guests'!
But how are they keeping up with its speed?"
It wasn't normal to see the 50 level 2 civilization mainlands moving as fast as the former speed mainland.
Lilith waved her hand and turned some invisible lines visible in the image.
The level 2 civilization mainlands were now connected to an invisible barrier, which protected the Evil Mainland and the single united universe inside.
Little Mortal frowned,
"Who built a barrier for us?"
And Lilith, after a brief moment, said,
"It's your Frontline effect protecting this zone..."
She didn't know what to think.
Her partner couldn't even feel the barrier, which was essentially like his own skin, protecting everything under the Frontline effect.
The backpack trembled at this moment, saying,
The silver platform turned silent.
Little Mortal froze for a second.
And then, he attacked!
"Big guy! How dare you question my speedrun!
Those are dead mainlands! Do you hear me!
Dead! They don't count!"
But the backpack didn't back down,
But the mainland itself is still alive!> Little Mortal froze again! Then he shouted, "Mr. Token!" The tiny guardian token's mechanical voice sounded, [Yes, Guardian Mortal?] Seeing it so tiny, Little Mortal froze for the second time, "What happened to you? Why in the world did you turn so tiny? Who else on this planet can shrink stuff?" And only now Lilith remembered about it, "You shrank it for the matter related to newborns' citizenship..." Little Mortal froze for the third time. Then he turned the token back to normal and said, "Mr. Token, tell our Evil Mainland to slow down! Let the other level 2 civilizations chasing it catch up with it!" [Request has been sent. Request has been accepted.] "Tell it to notify you when there are 500 of them." [Affirmative.] Little Mortal sighed helplessly, "Little Crystal, little notebook, delete the speedrun record.... Resume the timer..." Rose arrived at this moment with a bunch of planet managers. "Boss, you are back! How was the trip?" And the group greeted him and Lilith. Little Mortal, disheartened, nodded weakly, "Not bad... How about you guys? Everything's fine?" Rose, seeing him like this after 2 months, said, "Everything's fine. The only problem is the size of the planet. It is so big now and hard to manage." Lubo and Space Mirror added so many planets that the size of the planet was now bigger than the galaxy it was in at the beginning! Little Mortal nodded, "Give me a moment, and I will summon lots of helpers for you." Then he turned Lilith's citadel, which she had almost forgotten about, visible, and looked inside. Inside the citadel were filled with tiny, confused, and scared newborns. Little Mortal ignored them and took out the 10 planets first before throwing them into the sky. "Little Mirror, where are you? Take these planets." 10 tiny passages opened. Each planet passed through one of them and then returned to normal on the other side of the passage, allowing Lubo to merge with them. Little Mortal then disappeared. Not long after, he arrived on the mainland. He brought out the 100 bald level 2 civilization mainlands, and although they were invisible to the level 2 civilizations chasing them due to the barrier, he fed them to their own mainland. "Little Evil! Look what I found for you to eat! Say AAAaa!" Not long after, he was back on the silver platform. He looked at Lilith and asked, "Can you take your citadel back if I turn it back to normal?" Lilith nodded, "Yes, it's fine." Little Mortal, receiving the answer, closed his eyes and started doing some random hand seals. The managers, especially the new ones, watched with interest, trying to figure out what this ultimate tyrant of the planet, about whom they had heard many stories, was doing. After 10 minutes of hand seals with a serious face, he shouted, "Divine technique! 60 million helpers summon! Activate!" His voice echoed far and wide! 60 million helper summon? The crowd was dumbfounded! Rose's eyes shone with excitement! Passages opened, and newborns who heard the voice came out to see the show. They were all at level 8 or 9 now with Crystal and Entertainment Goddess's help. They were a little arrogant and fearless now! Little Mortal delayed his technique long enough for the Little Fairies and the rest of the managers to arrive as well. Lilith could only chuckle. The notebook recorded another historical moment. And then, *BAM* A huge and magnificent citadel falls from the sky! The crowd gasped. What a beautiful and strong-looking citadel! They saw the castles of many higher beings in a certain 'museum' on the planet, but they were nothing compared to this citadel! The citadel gate opened slowly. Little Mortal tapped his Crystal, giving it a secret order, and smoke mixed with the mist effect was immediately added to the castle interior to make it mysterious. Time passed. Minutes later, nobody came out of the mist. The crowd was puzzled. Little Mortal was speechless. He gritted his teeth and shouted again, "Divine technique! 60 million helpers summon! Activate!" But again, nobody came out. The corner of Little Mortal's mouth twitched, and he ran inside. The crowd heard him whispering inside the smoke and mist, "What in the world are you guys doing? Come out!" And some unfamiliar, surprised voices that sounded, "Wait! Boss, it's you!" "We thought you killed everybody!" "Didn't you commit suicide?" "Aren't we in the afterlife ?" "Did you bring us to the underworld to conquer it? We can't do that!" "Boss, how could you destroy the 10 planets? How many creatures were there?" "And those poor citizens! How could you do this to them?" And Little Mortal's annoyed voice, who responded, "Are you guys silly? Did you believe all that nonsense? I was just joking with you! I am a newborn like you. How could I kill anybody? " And the citadel turned quite... Lilith looked away and rubbed her temple. She remembered how many times he scared them while acting as an underworld psychopath, and now he was saying, 'I was just joking with you.' An old lady's voice sounded, "Y-You are a newborn ?" "Yes, Wise Elderly Number 1. Isn't that obvious? Oh... Is it because of my appearance? Give me a second." Little Mortal ran out of the citadel. The crowd nodded. His messed-up appearance and bloody look were indeed scary for those who didn't know him. After going inside the backpack, he came out again. He was now cleaned up and back in his black martial arts outfit. He gave an apologetic smile to Rose, as if saying, 'Sorry for the delay,' and ran inside the citadel again. "Look, this is my real appearance. Kind and friendly guardian, Mortal. You believe me now, right ?" The direction of his voice seems to change when he says 'right ?' towards the outside. It was clear he was asking the crowd outside to approve his claim. The group of managers shouted together, " Yes! Guardian Mortal is the kindest! " Hearing the in unison answer from outside of the citadel, the newborns inside were speechless... The voice of 'Wise Elderly Number 1' sounded again, "But boss, y-you killed so many living creatures..." "When did I kill anybody ?" An old man asked, "Didn't you just incinerate the 10 planets with your salary? And what about the citizens you got at the end of each planet's event?" Little Mortal snorted, "Did you see the 10 planets incinerate? No, you didn't! And I sent those citizens to my partner to take care of." "Y-Your partner?" "Queen Lilith." "Y-You sent them to Hell?" "..." The place turned silent again. After a brief moment, "No, they are outside somewhere. On our planet that Lubo manages." "Lubo? By Lubo, you mean Let Us Be One? The Evil birth treasure ?" "Yes, Yes !" "Isn't that worse? they are all devoured by now ..." "What? No! Lubo is my employee, don't worry. It's harmless." "Lubo is your employee? how can you be a good person if that abomination is your employee?" The place turned silent again. After a brief moment, "You can go find those citizens if you don't believe me! Now don't mess around and come out! My assistant, Rose, doesn't have all day to wait for you 'suspicious people' !" But another old man's voice sounded. It seems to be the Wise Elderly Number 2. "B-Boss, let's assume you didn't kill anybody because we didn't see it with our own eyes, and we don't have proof. But how could you beat up so many higher beings weaker than you? If you really are a newborn, you should know that it's impossible for us to attack weaker creatures so freely... How did you kill so many level 10 managers over and over again ?" Hearing the question, even the crowd outside sharpened their ears to hear the answer, while sweating profusely on the part that he killed level 10 managers over and over again! This was a question for many old timers, especially Lilith. She wanted to know if the suicidal group that the notebook created, which could get them all killed one day, was really effective or not! Little Mortal voice sounded, "Oh, that? It's because of my heart." The old man asked in confusion, "What's wrong with your heart?" Little Mortal answered with a question, "You know Lubo, my employee ?" "Yes, we know... But how is it related?" Little Mortal chuckled, "When I was a kid, Lubo ate my heart, and because Lubo is Evil by nature, and now it's part of my body, I can use its evil nature to bypass my own 'good nature' to some extent. But even so, I still can't kill anybody. Or else, would I play all these games to save the world? Hmm? If I could kill, I would go kill all the bad guys in a day or two, and it would be it! 'The end.' " The place turned silent again. The newborns inside didn't believe him, but the people outside, who suddenly received the answer to an unanswered question, were stunned! After a brief moment, a smile appeared on Lilith's mouth, and her gaze moved to the notebook that Little Mortal had placed in his backpack when he went to change his clothes. The notebook, 'sighed', and sent a group message to the members of its secret team. Everyone sighed in relief from the realization. The news spreads between every high-level creature on the planet in a moment. [ Guardian Mortal can't kill.] Seeing the whole planet sighing in relief, Lilith, who sensed everyone feeling relaxed, even the planet itself, knew that this was a matter that really bothered everyone, not just her. The only person who seemed not to care was Rose. She looked at the managers while speechless, "Why are you guys so surprised? Didn't you know Boss always acts like that, so he won't be taken advantage of because of his identity? For your information, you can't find anyone with a heart more pure than his! " The crowd looked at her blankly... The birth treasures did the same... Little Mortal's voice sounded from inside, "My goodness, assistant Rose, don't tell me you were the only one who knew I was just joking?" Rose, seeing the blank faces, chuckled, "It seems so. I think not everyone can understand your sense of humor, Boss..." Little Mortal was at a loss for words. After a while, he sighed, "Forget about it. You guys stop messing around, too. Come out when I summon you, alright?" "W-We won't kill anybody!" "Alright, alright, just march outside like befo- wait, you can't come out like this. Your outfits aren't the same as before! Let me fix that first." And then the panicked voice of the newborns inside sounded. "W-What are you doing, boss?" "Making an armor for you, don't move! " "W-What are these things that you are making armors with?" "The remains of those big iron brains and the cyborg's scrap. I condense it first to increase its resistance, then shape it to fit your body. Now be quiet, let me focus." The crowd outside, "..." What was happening? What brain? What cyborg? Lilith, though, was curious to see the result now. Her citadel, while visible, was still under her partner's effect, and the interior couldn't be felt. Neither by her, nor by the world law outside. 10 minutes later, Little Mortal walked out while wiping the nonexistent sweat from his forehead. He then stood outside the citadel and shouted, "Divine technique! 60 million helpers summon! Activate !" The crowd watched with interest, wondering how many this '60 million' really was. *Thud* *Thud* Suddenly, a rhythmic sound of an army marching out came from the citadel! The sound that the armor of those who marched in the smoke made was like the symphony of steel and thunder. Soon, tiny figures appeared in the mist and smoke, in rows, marching together. Seeing the army coming out, everybody felt they were seeing things. They rubbed their eyes, but the result was the same. The so-called summoned assistants were extremely small, maybe as tall as a pinky finger. But the aura imitated from them was all at peak level 8! The crowd wondered to themselves, 'What race are these small humans from? Didn't he say they are newborns like him? And why is there no end to them? ' As time passed, more and more tiny level 8 soldiers marched out of the citadel, as if there was no end to them. The collective aura of them was so dense that more and more of the planet managers were attracted here. An hour later, under the gaze of the dumbfounded crowd, the sea of tiny people stopped marching out, as though they were all finally out. Ladies on one side, men on the other. All in the same armor set, with a 'huge' sword on their back. The sword was a little too big compared to their current size, though. Lilith coughed and whispered, "Partner, you forgot to turn them back to normal." Little Mortal rolled his eyes at her, "How could I fit 60 million people here if they were normal size?" Then he turned to assistant Rose, "What do you think, assistant Ro-" *Ring* But before he could finish his sentence, a loud ringing sound of a bell that echoed through the whole world interrupted him!
