Chapter 514 – Goddess of Life
Chapter 514 – Goddess of Life
"Mother!" I shout. "Someone wants you!"
"Dear," Mother says. "I know. I can hear them just as much as you can. In fact, I can hear the ones praying to me better than you can."
"Sorry," I say. "It's just so cool that people are praying to you already! I didn't know they would understand how amazing you are. They took so long to pray to me. Sticking with Fertility for so long."
"Can I focus on the mother who is praying to me?" Mother says.
"Sorry," I say.
Ascending isn't all that interesting. One day, you just wake up, and the Goddess screen doesn't exist, and in my case, all my tattoos disappeared. I could choose to get rid of my light and rainbow colors, but I'm so used to that look, so I kept it around. Then you realize that your affinity. It just pops into your mind, and you start learning how much control you have over it. But I already have a bunch of control over Life that it didn't change much.
But I did beat Yzzorres and that Dryad to becoming a Goddess. Getting pregnant by Goddesses over and over is a great way to become divine, it turns out. Which, after I ascended, started to move the rest of my harem towards becoming a goddess as well. Many didn't make it. Azula De Vil and her wives, I stopped being around much after Lensa, and I decided on a kid, which was before I ascended. Yumanea as well. The women I didn't deal with much.
Then not everyone became a Goddess. Geta is already divine, and Isda was just becoming my angel. Kou and Aurora became my angels as well. Sarania and Fyserreia didn't turn into a Goddess. Depending on your definition. Sarania has taken over the Affinity Sex. I even confirmed this with the world, who only ever visits me. If she isn't in my domain, she's hiding in her box. She has added a window, but you can't see anything outside the window. Fyserryeia became like some angel thing to Sarania.
Some other Goddesses I made besides Goddess of Mothers with my mother are: Goddess of Devotion with Nakuma and her craziness, Goddess of Performing from Yuki (forced to have a bunch of kids from me when I was a demigoddess must have pushed her along or something), Goddess of the Mind through Syro, Goddess of the Night with Mai (Esmeralda likes the lower realm too much and hates ruling even more letting Mai over power her), Ilka and Akhae became Mother's angels, Roserymary and her sudden love of pregnancies never grew greater than her love of healing so she Became the Goddess of Healing, Kelly with her focus got Goddess of Midwives, Victoria kind of went off the deep end and got pregnant a lot once I became a Goddess (I think she just wanted to see what Goddess she would become) Goddess of Cursing because Kou and I just didn't have the heart to try and fix her language, Elo became the Goddess of Broods (Dragon is still mad about this, but it's her fault for wanting so many broods. She should've told me to stop), a really funny one is the Goddess of Prayer that Elora became, Goddess of Fashion with Shyla, then Elyne's kink earned her a spot as the Centaurs new Goddess.
I'm leaving out a lot of them, but that gives you an idea of how good the Goddess of Life is at filling out the divine realm. Basically, all my wives are divine beings somehow. Just a select few that got ignored didn't make it. I haven't even mentioned my kids, and I'm not going to try. I have a problem with getting pregnant, and I still do, and now I work with Fertility and Space and the list of Goddesses and divine beings above. The lower realm had better not hope they can get rid of demons because things happen when Sarania comes over to the Goddess of Life's house.
I guess I should give more of them. Fluvis is the Goddess of the Navy, with her wives becoming angels. Eterna is the goddess of Fire. Shimmer snuck in as the Goddess of Birds. Not sure how. She did take over as the Queen of Phoenixes quickly after her mother had my kids. I'm guessing Phoenix did something to get her to come up here as a Goddess.
The Dryad has become the Goddess of Nature. She's a lot better than the old Goddess of Nature, like a lot better. Nature is still scary for people, but it doesn't seem overly cruel, more like the sea.
Yzzorres did beat the Dryad to becoming a Goddess, probably due to my help with how lazy she is. Goddess of sloth. She just had to have the fancy title for some reason. She hasn't even claimed her own territory up here and instead just sleeps in mine. She is still my mate, along with Mother, so I don't complain about it, but she could put in a little bit of effort.
Nobody can say her affinity is wrong.
"LIFE!" Cursing screams. "What the fuck is wrong with me?"
"How would I know?" I ask. "You're a goddess, so I doubt anything is wrong with you."
"Then why the fuck do I feel fucking strange?" Cursing asks. "I agree my body is fucking perfect with basically no work, but it feels fucking off."
"Oh, do you like being pregnant that much?" I ask.
"Fuck you," Cursing says. "You fucking made me like that shit. Fucking massages and shit all the damn time. Fucking stupid."
"Well, if you want?" I tease.
"Fuck no," Cursing says. "I'll go fucking get Healer to fix me or Mind. I sure as shit ain't risking this shit for the rest of my goddess damned life."
"Well, if you ever want it, I'm here," I say.
Fertility likes her house, and Sea's house, but I like the temple that has been built for me. I think the world had something to do with it getting created so quickly. Fertility's angels describe quite a process for creating her temple, but I had one the second I came up here.
My temple is a lot more like a home. A lot like my manor in the Kitsune realm, really. I think whoever did make it copied that and then figured out how to add a temple portion to it.
"Ok, baby, is there anything you wanted to do today?" Mother asks me.
"It seems you have a good idea of what to do," I say. "It feels strange to be able to do things and then also listen to and answer all the prayers we get."
"It is nice that I don't have as many prayers," Mother says. "Makes things a lot easier for me. Why don't we see Fertility? I think she's going to have a lot of her kids over, and a number of those are yours as well."
"How do you know about that and not me?" I ask. Is Fertility trying to get close to my Mother for some reason?
"Mother's secret," Mother says with a smile.
"Did she accidentally pray to you?" I ask. I took over all of Fertility's temples. Well, she forced me to take them all. Mother, Death, Healing, and Fertility all became subsections of my temple. So I can often tell if someone is about to start praying to any of them from within my temple, but I've also found out that Goddesses can pray to each other. It's Yzzorres's main way of communicating with me because speaking is too much effort or something.
"Perhaps," Mother says. "Come on. She needs the support. Sea is doing her best, but some more friendly and known faces would help."
"That would be a good idea," I say. "I shouldn't have to do much there. Maybe entertain our kids so she can focus on the ones she's ignored for way too long."
Moving around is easy; I don't even have to ask Space to do it for me anymore. Takes a bit of effort, which is why Yzzorres never moves anywhere still, but it happens quickly and without bothering anyone.
"Life?" Fertility asks.
"You're having your kids over finally, and Mother and I wanted to help you with Sea," I say. "Are we too early?"
"No, they'll be coming around soon," Fertility says. "I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to have you and your Mother around. And don't say finally around Sea. I don't need to hear her rant again."
"She just wants to help you," Mother says.
"Yes," Sea says. "That is all I'm doing. Your kids are excited to see you, and they're mad that some of them have already done it and had kids. You shouldn't have waited this long for it to happen. But we're moving forward and doing well. So, time to move. The day is going to be busy, and it's Goddesses we're dealing with."
Sea comes waddling by, showing I'm not the only one struggling with her affinity while living with Goddesses. I have a number of Goddesses living with me, so my wives are constantly pregnant, but it's normally at least one. But Sea seems to love it.
"Life, how are you doing?" Sea asks. "I'm happy you're here. I told her to tell you, but she wouldn't do it. I'm guessing she made a mistake with Mother here. Well done. How are you doing?"
"Getting used to hearing people all the time," I say. "Then I still find myself wondering how I just use everyone's affinity instead of their name after a century of using their name."
"It becomes second nature to deal with them," Sea says. "Just give it a bit of time. Oh, I see a few slowly walking up. Come on, dear, we have to greet them."
Sea goes dragging Fertility out to meet some beautiful Goddesses, and I settle in.
...
"I should do that," I say. "It's been too long since I've had everyone around, and it'll force Yzzorres to do something."
"That would be sweet," Mother says. "It really is just your kids that ran away from you."
"Yes, I know," I say. "I'm glad I didn't throw them in my bed, but they could've stayed a little closer."
"Luck probably knows her luck is better if she's far away from you," Mother says.
"She should've known better than to try and steal from people," I say. "It was for her own good. She is a much better Goddess because of my careful eye."
"I'm sure she sees that now, but kids are kids," Mother says.
I don't know why I'm complaining about my kids. They all love me. Love loves to tell me that. She feels like she won in the end, but she doesn't oversee marriages anymore. One of my kids does that. Yzzorres still wouldn't marry me; it would be 'too much work' or something silly like that. She really is something. But my kids love me, and they do pop in, but it would be fun to have them all visit like I used to have down in the mortal realms.
I wish I could spend every day with all my kids, but they have their own lives. I'll have to be happy to spend every day with my wives. I'm not letting all of them end up like Yzzorres.
Maybe I should just get Yzzorres pregnant again. She was there for her kids even if she wouldn't be for her mate.
"I love you, Mother," I say.
"I love you too," Mother says.
