Chapter 424 – Pushed To Break

"Is it truly over?" I ask. Nesh, Lotus, and Rosemary are my only wives left. A great mark to my failure to protect anything. Alzi was even the one to end the war. And now I have to meet in the dungeon just to talk with all my wives.

A fitting end to my reign.

"Yes," Nesh says. "This should be it for wars."

I guess I can say that I lost right next to everyone in this war. Not that anyone will care. Why should they when they lost someone they love? I just have to make sure nobody starts thinking giving Alzi away would've saved anyone. Most people shouldn't know that was even an option. The rest should be smart enough to know this war was inevitable. I need to get Alzi behind the crown immediately.

The problem is that her main body isn't here. I don't think most would know about her having two bodies or even believe me, even if they look the same. It other bodies being golden forces anything official to go through her main body. They even took Elora away.

Gives me time to plan. Make it a thing that the entire nation can join in. Provide food, we have so much meat that needs to be eaten before it spoils. More than magic can even preserve. A starting gift from the first Empress.

"Then we have work to do," I say. "Shortly after Alzi and Elora come back, we need to put them on the throne. I'm not strong enough to sit on the throne anymore. I lost too many, and the higher realms have been coming down too often. We need their support. Things should be settling down for us."

"We don't know if Alzi will stir something else up," Nesh says.

"She will," I say. "But I don't think it'll be bad. Probably just new Goddesses looking to start shaping the world. The new Goddess will take after Alzi and while the nobles will hate it, I'm sure it'll help the people. Worst case, one comes to kill her. In that case, it doesn't matter where Alzi is; we're all going to suffer. Then we'll be in a position to come to her aid with out question. To support their Queen and Empress. The entire world will become a war zone anyway. Might as well be on the right side from the start. Besides, Alzi has enough support with the dragons and who knows how many Goddesses. Elora can't escape her. Her wives and kids are on the castle grounds. There isn't a way to throw Alzi out without all dying. Best to off her everything. She doesn't have the time to be heavily invested in our Queendom. We just need her to care enough that she directs Elora here and there."

"That sounds wrong," Rosemary says. "Does Alzi want that? Is this the right way to be thinking about this?"

"Alzi took Elora with her," I say. "Alzi, let Elora live. I think Alzi is going to marry Elora. I won't force Alzi to take the crown, but I promised it to her, so I'll ask. She'll say yes and throw Elora to the throne. I'm not asking her to breed our people back into dominance or anything. I just want to get her to care about the Queendom's success enough to help us out when we're struggling."

"If she forgets about us letting her worst moments happen," Rosemary says. "But enough of this. It is our best way forward. I've got women to heal, and you all have things to do as well. We don't need to worry about these things. You just need to plan where our husband goes."

That is an annoying issue. I think the ratio of men to women has never been better since Fertility created that curse. Hard to find a place to put a man who can't really promise the woman a child. I have to solve a headache soon. Hopefully, Alzi comes back in a good mood. I hope she has a good time in the Dragon realm. I hope all the realms start to be places she can enjoy now that the idiots are starting to get off the throne.

"Are you forgetting I'm in a cell?" Lotus asks.

"No," I say. "Sorry. But we can't rule out that Nature won't take control of you again."

"It was a skill."

"All the dryads did it, dear. I'm sorry. But a few more weeks and we'll get you out," I say. "I'll talk to some Goddesses to figure it out."

"Thank you," Lotus says. "Feels weird to have meetings in the dungeon, and living here really is annoying."

"Of course," I say. "It is nice to get away from everything by coming down here, but it is more comfortable almost anywhere else in the castle."

Shimmer only needed to put a few drops into the cauldron, and I'm starting to wonder why this needed to happen at all. If Yzzorres is so strong, why didn't she just grab a true phoenix and royal phoenix and force them to give her blood over? Or is that why she made me have sex with Eterna? Do they need to be pregnant/have a child with a royal dragonkin for this to work or something? Seems overly complicated, but it is changing the race of someone.

"Now, just a few minutes, and then you can all get out of here and Dragon can shut the fuck up about it," Yzzorres says. "Really think I want to raise some chicken's kid."

"People can have fears," I say. "Stop being so angry over something you're forcing us to do. I had no plans to do any of this. I don't care about this." Why is she so difficult to work with? If she had just come by, asked, and then done this safely, it would've been over faster and easier. Maybe not faster, but certainly easier.

"Like I care about that," Yzzorres says. "Take the drink and deal with it."

"I'm not taking it while pregnant!"

"It doesn't work immediately, and you don't get to pick. I'm not making this again, and it doesn't last long. If the Champion of Fertility can't keep her fertile womb safe during this small change, then you don't deserve to be a champion. You'd just be a whore of the Goddesses. Should start calling you the Champion of the whores."

"Yzzorres," Geta says. "You know very well that Alzi can keep her kids safe, but it makes sense to be worried. Don't insult her for caring about others. You once cared about things besides sleep. You'll be safe, Alzi. The birth will likely be the event that completes the change, or you may need Shimmer to get you pregnant for it to become complete. But them being your mate should be enough. Just have to see what happens. I'm sure Yzzorres knows that she should stay in her cave for a while now."

"Don't come asking me for help," Yzzorres says.

"I have no plans to," I say. "Would've been better if you never left in the first place. Lazy bitch."

"Just remember, Eterna here wanted to make you her mate. I saved you from that."

"I had other ways to fix that."

"Sure you did," Yzzorres says. "Drink the fucking potion."

"Then give it to me!"

"Dip your head into the cauldron. I don't have anything else for you. I hate this form. Why would I have anything that is needed for it?"

I said I wouldn't, but if it's the only way to get back at her? "You've been alive long enough to pick some up by accident. But fine. You truly are annoying."

"Maybe I have some. But I'm not going around looking for you," Yzzorres says. "Finish up quickly. I'm tired of looking at you all."

Pinning Yzzorres down and forcing her to stay in this form for a while would be fun, but would likely end with me being her mate. Maybe Geta can do something to stop that, but now isn't the time to find out. But I really want to. Maybe when she's sleeping? I could ask Dragon about that. I'm sure she would help me if I promised her more true dragon kids.

There's no good way to drink whatever is in the cauldron. I'm pregnant, in a beautiful dress, and I don't know how much of it I have to drink.

'Space, can you tell me when I've had enough? I don't want to talk to this asshole more.'

'Ok, but I'm going to have you take more than if you just asked her how much. I'm not the one who oversees this thing, and I can't see how much you're drinking that well.'

'That's fine. I'm still trying to figure out how to drink from this stupid cauldron. I'm going to look so stupid! I just became the Queen, got kidnapped, and now I have to look stupid drinking from some cauldron in front of my mates and this bitch!'

'There is another method.'

'What?'

"Are you going to drink or let it spoil?" Yzzorres spits out.

"Just give me a cup!"

'Mate her of course. Get Geta and Eterna into the mix, and the three of you will mate her. But short of that. Here's a cup. Should be more than enough for you, just pull it from the tattoos.'

'Thank you, beauty. I'll think of mating her another time. I don't know if I really want her around.'

The cup is a lot bigger than I would've liked, but it'll be better than diving into a cauldron. I didn't even think about my hair! The potion would've soaked it. But it's good to know I can mate Yzzorres if I need to. I should get Geta and Eterna ready prepared just in case I need to do that. Or if I want to. It could be fun to ruin her sleep with kids and pregnancies.

"You had a cup the entire time?" Yzzorres asks when I dip the cup in.

"No, I asked someone who loves me for some help, and they proved how much better they are than you."

"I never said I love you. In fact, I made it clear I don't even like you."

"Don't care," I say. "This better not do something drastic to me. I have things to do."

"Shut the fuck up about it!" Yzzorres says. Why does she hate me so much?

"Rather not," I say. This is going to be disgusting. I mean, it has blood in it. So, of course, but whatever else went into this doesn't seem to be any better. More of a sludge than a drink. But I have to drink it. I'm sure Dragon will have some words for me if I don't.

The taste is terrible, but it at least slides down quickly.

"You need more," Yzzorres says. "Waited too long."

"I doubt that," I say. 'Space?'

'Maybe? I'm not the one who came up with the ritual.'

"Lucky you," I say. Maybe I should put a few dozen eggs into her. I fill a second cup and force it down again. Eterna should have a similar ritual. She didn't say anything, so maybe I really do need more. "Is that enough?"

"I don't know," Yzzorres says. "Think I'm paying attention to how much you drink?"

"Fuck you!" I scream. Oh, it did something. My skin itches, and I think my horns are growing. "Shit!" My tail! It was supposed to be slow. "You said slow. What is this?"

"You must've had more than you needed then," Yzzorres says. I can't see the smile, but sure as fuck hear it.

Alright. She's getting mated. "Geta, Eterna? I can count on you two, right?"

"Alzi..."

Too late. Yzzorres was not expecting me to do anything. I know that for sure. Her eyes immediately turn to hearts as I use my skills. Everyone, but me and Shimmer, was getting a full blast of my aura, and sorry, Shyla, the dress has to go now.
