Chapter 384 384: Ch
Chapter 384 384: Ch
Somewhere not far from Fang Star—now known as the Dust Hook System, formerly called the Fang Star System… now renamed and heavily militarized by the Void Fleet…
Two defense commands were stationed there—the 4th Dark Shield and the 5th Obsidian Shield of Fury…
Both commands were equipped with at least five fleets each, along with multiple strategic assets… including three battle fortresses per command… and even a battlestar, used jointly by both commands as their central base…
Kael had already assigned command over this system, along with others that had fallen under his control…
Within just a month—having arrived earlier than others due to the troubles Kael's own fleets were facing—these two commands had fortified the system heavily… deploying multiple capital- and titan-grade weapon systems across the region…
These defenses constantly eliminated incoming pirate ships and similar threats emerging from the Lost Star Sector…
Even a couple of fleets belonging to the orc race had been taken down…
Yet, like unstable rain, they kept coming… again and again…
And in a star system not too far from Dust Hook, Kael's fleet could be seen moving in stealth… maintaining a tight formation as they advanced…
And they welcomed a group of stealth ships among them—each belonging to the Shadow Legions…
The leading officer, Captain Kelvin, entered one of the main ships within the battle group. Detaching from his team, he headed straight toward the officer in charge—the commandant, Major Lieutenant Liam…
"Sir, this is the intel we were able to gather from the enemy… the ones who keep sending pirates and even orcs toward Dust Hook and nearby systems… harassing us while also looting the incoming traders…"
"Good job, Captain Kelvin…" Liam said. "You have brought honor to the Shadow Legion, just as you were trained to do…"
Kelvin saluted, maintaining a composed expression, though inside he felt a surge of excitement at the sincere praise from his commandant… All the trouble he and his team had gone through to gather this intel—it felt worth it…
"Sir, this was a team effort… Without my team, I would not have been able to gather all this information in such a short time frame…"
"Especially since the enemy was far more cautious this time… we had to go above and beyond to complete the mission…"
Liam nodded. "That is only natural… after all, what we are facing now has stronger backing than the Minotaurs ever did… So of course things will be more troublesome…"
"But regardless—you completed your mission within the given time frame and without alerting the enemy… that is commendable…"
"Now go… get some rest…" he added, narrowing his eyes slightly. "The work is far from over… if anything, it has only just begun… You will be called again soon by command… Be prepared…"
"Sir, yes sir!"
Kelvin saluted once more before turning and walking away…
Leaving Liam on his own… he quickly went through the intel provided by Kelvin, down to the last detail. Within minutes, he couldn't help but frown…
"Looks like this mission will be more troublesome than we initially expected…"
Shaking his head, he muttered, "I should report this to the Grand Admiral as soon as possible and see what can be done…"
For a moment, he wondered if he was overthinking it… but then dismissed the thought. These findings were too important to ignore…
Quickly, Liam condensed the information into precise bullet points—brief, yet enough to present a clear picture of the situation. He filled in the gaps himself, preparing to explain everything in detail if required…
It was all… confusing.
Why would forces from the Lost Star Sector—who were rarely united and constantly in conflict due to their tendency to place profit above everything else—suddenly move in coordination?
And then there were the orcs… making unusually large and organized moves…
And alongside them, a race known for having little mastery over shipbuilding… yet somehow fielding fleets of their own. While those ships could barely be called proper war vessels… their numbers were overwhelming…
But looking at it closely, it began to make sense who was behind all this… After all, supplying such resources was no small matter…
"As expected… the Star Empire and the Alchemy Association are involved again…" Kael said, observing everything and piecing it together. "Along with a dozen more Tier One powers—some new, some old… including the Holy Light Angel Empire and the Blood Moon Empire…"
"No wonder both of them were nearly obliterated by the Dark Sun Empire, the Legion of Dark Angels, and the Blood Wolf Empire… without even being able to mount a proper defense to stop those forces from taking over their ruled systems…"
Kael paused briefly before continuing, his thoughts aligning.
"Now it's not confusing anymore… Their elite forces are deployed out here… and back in their core worlds, only a few legions remain—to defend… They can't afford to pull them away to join this war…"
A faint smirk appeared on his face. "Good… good… It looks like we, too, need to reach out to these three—the Dark Sun, the Legion of Dark Angels, and the Blood Wolves…"
"All together… we will crush these two empires who thought they could turn their attention toward us… with even worse intentions…" His voice remained controlled, but a hint of fury flickered in his eyes…
"If they think only they can play dirty… then they are thinking far too lowly of us…"
A glint of killing intent passed through Kael's eyes…
The Void Fleet had long been aware of the movements of the Holy Light Angels and the Blood Moon Empire… and Kael himself had been the one to pass along that intel—with solid proof—to the three powers now pushing both empires back…
After all, Kallus had long anticipated that multiple enemies would eventually move against them… And knowing that too much direct confrontation could severely harm their forces, he had taken a different path…
He infiltrated the galactic net… quietly monitoring the movements of both the Star Empire and the Alchemy Association—two factions whose attention had been sharply fixed on them…
Through this, he uncovered their secret dealings… their alliances with the Holy Light and Blood Moon empires… and how they were manipulating others from the shadows…
So, in response, Kallus devised a plan… one meant to create chaos on multiple fronts… forcing his enemies into a position where they would either pull back—or be destroyed by the very greed that drove them…
Kael, as one of the Grand Admirals, had been made aware of this plan…
And he couldn't help but admire the foresight of his leader… to see so far ahead… and to orchestrate something on this scale without compromising the interests of the fleet…
"And after finishing this mission, I would like to lead the next one—if he approves… to wipe out these enemies of ours right at their home ground… and leave them with no home to return to…"
"If they want to harm our home… then I'll erase theirs…" Kael spoke with conviction, anger evident in his voice…
A surge of power leaked from him—his Genesis Law Compression, Realm Level 6 aura spreading outward… causing those around him to tremble briefly…
Yet they did not fear it… nor did they step back…
Instead, excitement rose within them…
Because if such a mission were to happen… they would finally be able to take revenge with their own hands… against those who had made their lives miserable with constant harassment and conflict…
Kael slowly regained control of his power, calming himself… "But before that… let's deal with the task at hand…"
"Prepare the battle group for hyperspace travel… we move to the enemy's doorstep…"
"Raise the alert level to Blood Red."
[Battle Alert Levels:
Green (Level 0):Minimal danger. The fleet is far from threats. Guards can be slightly relaxed, though not completely.
Dark Orange (Level 1): Low threat. The fleet is near or approaching a danger zone, with about a 10% chance of engagement.
Red (Level 2): Moderate threat. Around a 20% chance of attack. Enemy forces are likely Tier One or higher.
Dark Red (Level 3):High threat. The fleet is about to enter battle with a larger enemy force—outnumbered roughly 1:5, all Tier One targets or above.
Black (Level 4): Severe threat. The enemy is equal in strength. Risk of loss can rise up to 10%.
Dark Black (Level 5): Extreme threat. The enemy is both stronger and more numerous. Risk of loss or defeat can reach around 50%.]
In quick succession, Kael made a bold decision…
Now that he had intel on the enemy—their defensive installations, their numbers, their strength, and more—he knew he held the advantage…
And with that advantage, he chose to strike while the iron was hot… while they were still unaware of his movements…
No matter how skilled the Shadow Legion personnel were, Kael understood that at his level, very little could escape notice… and even if something did, it would not remain hidden for long under his spirit sense…
