Chapter 372: Ch End of Minotaur Clan - 3
The two energy beams one red and one blue collided mid-way, canceling each other out and exploding in a brilliant sun of dark and blue energy.
The resulting shockwave tore through the nearby, struggling Minotaur battleships and dreadnoughts. A few burst into arches of flame, lighting up the void for a brief, violent moment.
Seeing its attack neutralized, the Blue Mech launched another strike from its spear. The 2nd Supreme Elder met it again with same attack , though he was clearly struggling as the intensity of his attack has weakened further.
With each successive strike, the distance at which the two beams collided with each other and neutralised each other decreased even further and further. Soon, the explosions were happening just a few hundred meters above the 2nd Elder’s damaged mech.
After two more volleys, the 2nd Elder could no longer fire back as if he had already depleted his and mech last bit of energy reserves. And thus he was struck directly by the blue energy beam.
However, defying the expectations of the netizens who were watching all this with bated breath—and perhaps even to the Blue Mech pilot—the minotaur mech has successfully managed to survive.
On brink of defeat and death the Minotaur supreme elder managed to manifested his Inner World even though he was depleted of energy, he still managed to do that to defend himself. And Unlike the barren, desolate worlds of the other Elders, his was lush and vibrant, filled with crystalline streams and patches of deep green life could be seen.
It is said that what is usually deemed impossible to achieve is bound by the limits of one’s destiny. And yet, when one finds themselves in situations just as impossible—at certain moments in time—those very circumstances become a test of destiny itself; a test of limits, a test of one’s grit and will.
And if one manages to defy it, to emerge from such impossible trials, they may step into a realm beyond their former limits... attaining something they could never have reached before.
This was precisely what was happening to the 2nd Elder. Fighting for his life in this final moment of life and death, he comprehended something that had eluded him for tens of thousands of years. He had touched the Laws. Though he was only at the entry level, it was a miraculous breakthrough.
The common netizens had no idea what they were witnessing, nor did the host, Judy. But the Minotaur Leader present—and those who ranked beyond the World-Building stage or possessed hidden knowledge—understood perfectly.
A faint light of hope sparked within the Minotaur Leader as he regained his spirit. Others simply grew more focused, eager to see if the dominant Blue Mech could withstand a being that had ascended to the Quasi-Genesis Law Realm.
Back in the footage, to the amazement of everyone watching, the destroyed Minotaur mech began to recover at breakneck speed. Shards of metal and broken components flew back together, and in a mere minute, the machine had returned to its peak state.
Throughout all of this, the Blue Mech of the Void Fleet made no move at all. Surprisingly, it allowed the Minotaur mech under the 2nd Elder’s control to recover without any interruption.
The Minotaur mech stood up quickly and, without hesitation, lunged toward the Blue Mech with its newfound power and energy.
In response, the Blue Mech slowly pulled back its spear in a throwing motion. A reddish energy enveloped the entire weapon, concentrating around the spearhead until the glowing blue tip was encased in what looked like a crimson boulder of pure pressure. The Blue Mech stabilized itself in the void; then, in a motion so fast it blurred the sensors, it released the spear.
The weapon vanished, turning into a streak of red light that tore through space. Inside his cockpit, the 2nd Supreme Elder—now burning with the light of the Laws—did not fail to notice the movement. He watched the strike that had nearly brought him to the brink of death and total defeat, his new senses narrowing as the crimson light approached.
Seeing the Blue Mech launch its spear—coated in a strange, terrifying energy that filled him with dread—the 2nd Elder took the threat seriously. He slowed his advance, pouring his Law Origin (a potent, law-infused mana) into his enormous axe. The blade began to glow with a destructive red energy of its own. He swung with all his might, meeting the spear head-on just as it reached him.
BOOM! > As the two weapons collided, they produced a cascade of sparks and a devastating energy shockwave. The discharge shredded the nearby Minotaur ships instantly. Even the Void Fleet’s own vessels were affected; though they held their ground, their advanced shields cracked under the oppressive pressure.
For a few heart-stopping seconds, the axe and spear remained in a deadlock. Neither side could gain the upper hand. But the stalemate didn’t last. A sharp, sickening crack echoed through the void.
Yielding under the impossible pressure, fine fractures began to spread across the surface of the Elder’s axe. The cracks expanded rapidly, spider-webbing through the metal until, with a deafening bang, the weapon shattered into a thousand pieces.
The spear, still surging with its remaining strength, charged forward. It struck the Minotaur mech, and though the pilot tried to defend, he was propelled backward by the spear’s immense momentum. The weapon drove him deep into the Battle Star once again, digging deeper and deeper through the hull until it breached the very center of the station.
There, at the heart of the fortress, lay a small artificial star. The reactor had already become unstable, sending bolts of white-hot energy lashing out against the reactor walls and melting them instantly.
Some of these energy bolts struck the spear and the mech. While the spear remained unharmed, shielded by its own power, the Minotaur mech was not so lucky. Its "Semi-Law" shield, already weakened and fractured by the Annihilation Spear, was obliterated.
As if being recalled by its master, the spear suddenly vanished. But before it disappeared completely, it fired two final rounds of energy directly into the unstable artificial star.
The 2nd Supreme Elder had no time to react or recover. The artificial star burst forth, a miniature supernova consuming the Elder and his mech instantly as it expanded outward, slowly moving towards the destruction of minotaur clan’s most proudest creation .
From the outside, the Battle Star trembled uncontrollably. As explosions kept on happening—some massive, others small—erupted across its surface in a violent chain reaction.
Meanwhile, the Void Human fleet have already began to pull back, creating a safe distance between themselves and the dying moon-sized station, all while maintaining their fire on the few remaining Minotaur ships not giving them chances to escape at all.
The Blue Mech took its position at the front of the fleet, with the two obsidian-black mechs and the rest of the armada far behind it.
Suddenly, a bright streak of blue light broke out of the Battle Star. It raced toward the Blue Mech, stopping instantly in front of it. The Blue Mech reached out and caught the Annihilation Spear by the shaft.
Moments later, the Battle Star burst forth from the inside out. Arches of brilliant white energy consumed it before it suddenly imploded, collapsing in on itself. The implosion sent a devastating energy shockwave rippling through the region, surging toward the Void Fleet.
The Blue Mech slammed the butt of its spear against the void. As if the very fabric of space had become solid, a counter-shockwave rippled outward, and the space in front of the mech crystallized into a wall.
The energy blast slammed into the solidified space with incredible force, but it could not break through. Not long after, the shockwave’s power was completely dissipated, leaving only the cold, silent void where the Minotaur’s greatest stronghold once stood.
Behind the fleet, only the shattered remnants of the Battle Star remained. Scraps from thousands upon thousands of ships were laid waste in the freezing cold of space.
Ignoring the wreckage, the Void Fleet began to push deeper into the Minotaur core system. They fragmented into six groups. One stayed behind—which the netizens assumed was to "clean up" the battlefield—while the other five rushed toward different points in the system. Everyone watching knew their targets: the five inhabited worlds of the Minotaur core.
The broadcast footage fragmented into five different viewpoints. The audience watched in horror as planetary installations were destroyed in rapid succession. Even the Super Space Stations—massive structures built to facilitate the clan’s vast trade networks—were not spared. Because this was the core system, the population was dense, and the structures were immense.
Just like the Battle Star, these stations were struck with precision and taken down. Those who had managed to escape earlier were the lucky ones; those who remained were blasted into pieces along with the structures they called home.
Major cities across the capital world, including Minotaur Prime, were bombarded and utterly annihilated—left in ruins, with not a single soul surviving.
