Chapter 85: How Long Has It Been Since They Kissed?
Elias Warner’s face was very close to Annelise Winter, his breath brushing past her neck, silently and dominantly invading her.Cold wind poured in.
At this moment, Annelise finally felt that everything before her was real.
She finally snapped out of the terrifying experience just now.
She stared at him blankly, afraid that everything before her was fake.
Wasn’t he supposed to be with his fiancée? Why did he come to save her?
Didn’t he hate her to death? Why would he still come to save her?
The car drove towards home, and along the way, Elias Warner steadily held the steering wheel with one hand, his dark eyes fixed ahead. The car was fast but steady.
After leaving the banquet hall, Elias Warner slightly slowed down the car speed.
He stopped at the red light.
With eyes fixed forward, he tightened his grip on the steering wheel, his jaw tightly clenched, "Were you bullied?"
Elias Warner held back his anger, his throat slightly moving, and simultaneously, he was very tense.
If Annelise Winter was indeed bullied by Wayne Young, he didn’t know what he would do.
"No!"
Annelise endured the inexplicable pain in her heart and regained her voice.
"Why did you save me?"
She tightly clutched the suit draped over her, feeling the unique scent of him on it, gathering the courage to ask Elias Warner.o look; it was Sylvia Lowell calling.
Hazy-minded, she grabbed the phone, about to answer.
A pair of large hands came, pressing her phone down, tossing it to the seat next to her.
"What are you doing? I want to answer the call!" Annelise bit her lip, scolding, but her eyes were so charming, evidently a bit angry at her actions, yet the dark eyes glancing at her made Elias Warner’s gaze suddenly darken.
The man approached, asking, "What do you want to do?"
"Let me take the call first."
Elias Warner looked at her like that, "Okay, take it."
Lifted his body and took back the phone Elias Warner threw away.
"Hello, Sylvia!"
"Annelise, where did you go? I looked everywhere for you. You’re not here, and my brother is still waiting for you. Didn’t we agree to have a good talk later? Plus, you haven’t met my boyfriend yet..."
"Sylvie, I have something to do, left already, next time. You have fun at the banquet..."
"What’s wrong? Why do you sound off?"
"No... It’s nothing, just feeling a bit feverish!"
Annelise’s voice was low, hoarse.
"I’ll take you to the hospital. Where are you?"
"No need, Sylvie. Sorry, I’m really exhausted today. You and the senior have fun first, I’ll definitely apologize to you properly another day!"
"Pa!"
Annelise hadn’t finished speaking, Elias Warner had already hung up the call.
He tossed Annelise’s phone aside again.
He looked up and saw Elias Warner’s dark eyes gazing at her, "I’ll say it once, stay away from Lucas Lowell!"
Elias Warner’s cold voice, along with the wind blowing in from the window, instantly lowered the temperature inside the car significantly.
Annelise couldn’t help but shiver.
She held back the strange feeling.
"You’re way too nosy!"
"I’m nosy? Do you know what kind of person Lucas Lowell is?"
"Even if the senior is bad, he’s much better than you, at least he doesn’t have a fiancée."
Elias Warner laughed indifferently, not looking at her anymore, starting the car again.
Her good senior, right? But why didn’t her good senior save her?
No longer wanting to deal with her.
The entire car felt like an arrow shot from a bow, heading towards the villa.
