Chapter 761 - 761 750 Come Roast This Sheep

Chapter 761: Chapter 750: Come, Roast This Sheep Chapter 761: Chapter 750: Come, Roast This Sheep “What’s this…” Overcome by curiosity, the Little Silver Dragon Rufei picked up this gigantic metallic book, about a meter long, from the bookshelf and began inspectively surveying in front of her.

This is the newly established Dragon Clan Library, all the books here are said to be prepared for the incoming giant dragons. Subconsciously, this little silver dragon believes every book here is safe, posing no danger – and indeed, it is true.

“Book of Mourning!” Rufei examines this book, emanating an aura of dread. She focuses on the metallic cover, reading up the five Dragon Language words engraved on it. These words seem to have been cut out with a sword, possessing a sharp and aggressive aura, contrasting oddly with the eerie mystery of the book.

“These words were engraved later, the original title was scratched out.” After closely observing the book, Little Silver Dragon Rufei concludes that ‘Book of Mourning’ is not the original title of the book.

Out of curiosity, and a desire to compete, the Little Silver Dragon, maintaining her dragon form, extended her small claws to scratch the cover of this metallic book, without even leaving a single mark. However, this didn’t stop the Little Silver Dragon, she used various methods, even using magic on the book, but she could not leave a single trace on the metallic cover of this book.

“So strong?” Little Silver Dragon Rufei marvels. Through this comparison, she appreciates the dragon who carved the words on this book, the power far surpasses her own. But what is in this book, whose cover has been removed and renamed by a strong dragon?

With an inkling of curiosity and anticipation, Little Silver Dragon Rufei opens this book carrying a sense of dread. The first page reveals a spell in Dragon Language, etching into Little Silver Dragon’s eyes.

“A curse!” After flipping through two or three pages, Little Silver Dragon now knew what was recorded in the book. But to make sure, she skipped the middle part and directly turned to the back, only to find that curses were still recorded, though this time, she could not understand them.

“Such a book is actually here.” An understanding dawned upon Little Silver Dragon, her eyes glittered, “This is a forbidden book. Who is the clueless fellow managing this library? Such a significant oversight occurs.”

“You are the clueless one here, who said I overlooked?” A dissatisfied voice arose right after Little Silver Dragon’s comment.

“Who’s there?” A fierce voice suddenly resonates, making Little Silver Dragon jump. She looks around in a slight panic, she clearly remembers there were no other dragons in this area.

“Come out, stop hiding.” Little Silver Dragon somewhat panics, shouting inadequately. She came here indeed for the biographical novels.

But the protagonist of the biographical novel she saw was a dragonkin.

The book depicts many scenes of the protagonist’s disputes of love and hate with females from various races, including some inappropriate scenes for young dragons. In a certain sense, for a giant dragon that has just entered adolescence like her, it could be considered a forbidden book.

Such books were never seen at her home so, the library held such a great allure for her, such that she ran to the library during her free time.

Who would know, the regular dragon, after experiencing seven classes in a day and two meditation sessions in the morning and evening, already suffered enough. Their only leisure time would, of course, be used for playing, they would absolutely not run to a place of study like a library.

Since there aren’t any dragons, Rufei dared to hide in the library to secretly read these forbidden books. However, when she realized that there is a second dragon here, she became somewhat flustered. If it gets out that she, the Silver Dragon Miss, was seen reading these books, she would be really humiliated.

“Where are you looking? I’m here.” As Little Silver Dragon Rufei looked around, a discontent voice echoed between the two shelves of books.

“Huh!” Flustered, Little Silver Dragon Rufei hurriedly looked in the direction of the sound, only to discover that the source of this sound was merely the black-gold book she had removed from the shelf.

When the Book of Mourning’s black spirit noticed that this little silver dragon finally paid attention to it, wisps of black mist visible to the naked eye spilled from the seams of the pages, then congregated above the book into a grim demon with double horns on the forehead and bat wings on the back. Oddly, this fierce demon only had an upper body, the lower half was smoke-shaped, all the way connecting to the book.

“A Book Spirit?” Seeing this Half-Demon, looking exactly like the Abyss Refining Demon, suddenly appear, Little Silver Dragon Rufei couldn’t help taking a step back. But soon, she came to realize it’s not a real Abyss Refining Demon in front of her, just a Book Spirit derived from this evil book, she need not be scared, this thing can’t harm her.

“What Book Spirit? Ignorant Little Dragon, I am a great Curse Spirit.” Upon hearing this little silver dragon’s address, the black spirit instantly becomes furious. He is not some Book Spirit or any random spirit, he is a Curse Spirit who controls over ninety-nine percent of all curses in the world.

“What Curse Spirit? Uttering nonsense, you can’t even recognize yourself, I’ve never seen a Book Spirit as foolish as you.” Hearing this Book Spirit deny its own identity, Little Silver Dragon Rufei angrily said.

She remembered her father owning a book that birthed a book spirit, and he treated this spirit with utmost respect, as if they were equals. As a little silver dragon, she had greatly benefited from the wisdom of the friendly and knowledgeable book spirit.

“Just look at yourself! You exist by relying on this book, yet you say you aren’t a book spirit?”

“Don’t compare me to those weaklings who can’t fight! I can kill legendary beings by cursing them,” the curse spirit said arrogantly. Its first master had killed dozens of legendary beings with its curses, leading to widespread fear on the subcontinent his master lived on. Under these circumstances, it was born, elevating the power of this cursed book to another level.

“Really?” said the little silver dragon, her face lit up with a mix of doubt and curiosity as she heard that this book spirit claimed to possess battle power.

“Of course,” the curse spirit said pridefully. It had been restrained in Muria’s hands for so long and finally, it got the chance to show off its abilities. Although the creature it was showing off to was just a little silver dragon with an undeveloped body, something was better than nothing.

“Then show me,” said the little silver dragon. After thinking for a while, she cast a simple summoning spell to summon a beast.

Squeak! A sharp squeak resonated, and under the silver dragon’s summoning light, a cave spider with three-meter-long legs appeared. Just after its appearance, the spider became so afraid of the innate dragon prestige released by the little silver dragon that it collapsed onto the ground, not daring to move.

“Curse it for me to see!”

“Tch, piece of cake.” After giving a disdainful glance to the spider, the curse spirit simply pointed, and an almost imperceptible black mist fell onto the spider. Then, crimson flames ignited on it. After a moment, a delicious scent wafted from the spider. However, before the flames could go out, the spider was entirely engulfed, leaving nothing but a pile of ashes on the ground.

“Amazing! This is a real curse! I didn’t even notice any unusual fluctuations! It was as if the spider spontaneously combusted and died…” said little silver dragon Lufei, who gulped when she smelled the enticing aroma combined with the burnt smell in the air. Having been deprived of the taste of meat for three months, her appetite was stimulated.

“However, this is not enough; it was just a spider,” said the little silver dragon, her eyes filled with mischief.

“What else do you want?”

“You need to do one more curse,” stated the little silver dragon, Lufei, excitingly summoned another beast.

Moo! A long, drawn-out bleat echoed in the quiet library, causing the curse spirit to stare wide-eyed at the Silver-Horned Mountain Goat that the little silver dragon had summoned.

“Go on, curse this goat. Roast it. Make it crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, but don’t burn it, then I’ll believe you can do it.” The little silver dragon held down the goat, ignoring its struggles. “Be careful not to burn it too badly.”

The summoning of the wild beast is one of the many spells that metallic dragons can use. With this spell, they no longer need to worry about food. They no longer need to chase prey in the wilderness, like the savage Five-Colored Dragons. They see this as an essential spell for their group.

“I am a Curse Spirit who masters countless curses, not a cook,” said the spirit, indignant at the little silver dragon’s request not to overcook the goat. What was this dragon taking it for?

“Calm down, calm down, I’m just testing your mastery of curse spells. Let’s forget it if you’re unwilling.” Seeing her unsuccessful trick, she stood up in despair and let the old goat go. Unlike those savage Five-Colored Dragons, she only ate cooked food and did not touch raw food.

“Damn it, you dare treat me with such contempt, it’s time for you to learn a lesson,” said the spirit, growing even angrier at the insincere apology of the little silver dragon. It was ready to teach this silver dragon a lesson and show her that the might of the Curse Spirit is not to be violated.

“I will make you feel so soft and itchy all over for three days and three nights,” the eerie curse came from the spirit, staring at the little silver dragon. Given the prohibition from Muria, it wouldn’t dare harm any dragon directly. But it had the guts for a little punishment. It was a creature of evil itself after all!

“Hey, I just asked you to help me roast a goat, and you’re angry? Why come at me?” Seeing that the book spirit was cursing her, the little silver dragon Lufei started to panic.

“I am a cursed book, forged by a curse wizard’s painstaking efforts. And you want me to roast a goat,” said Hei. Just as he had already locked onto little silver dragon Lufei and prepared to cast the curse, the Book of Mourning, the five swords engraved on it began to emanate a flowing golden light…
