Chapter 743: Chapter 732: Strive for 1000 Years Chapter 743: Chapter 732: Strive for 1000 Years Upon hearing Muria’s urging, Bernard looked around. All of the servants in the dining room were staring at him, suspecting that something was wrong. Their master seemed to be in conflict with this mysterious guest, Mr. Muria. The normally regal Dragon Knight was now on the receiving end of the conflict.

However, Bernard didn’t pay any attention to the servants’ gazes but instead looked at the old man, who had followed him from the very beginning of his rise to power. The old man observed him with concern, filled with worry for him.

Noticing the old man’s gaze, Bernard felt a pang of guilt in his heart. In his haste to retreat, he had abandoned the old man to keep Muria off his scent. Now, his choice seemed laughable.

Now, driven into a corner, Bernard had to rely on Muria, and once again meet this old man. He felt a twinge of guilt, but the old man didn’t seem to mind and was instead worried for his safety.

Remembering Muria’s earlier promise, Bernard gritted his teeth, shoved the crystal the size of a walnut in his mouth, and directly bit it into pieces. The radiant dragon blood within was swallowed directly into his belly.

For the first two or three breaths, Bernard didn’t feel anything unusual. However, after a few breaths, a scorching torrent rushed out of his abdomen, spreading throughout his limbs, as if he had swallowed a furnace.

In just a few breaths, Bernard’s originally fair skin turned red, similar to a boiled shrimp, and visible white steam rose from his body.

In the end, red flames burst from his body, consuming his clothes. Luckily, his clothes were not made of ordinary materials, so they were not easily destroyed by the flames.

As time passed, Bernard’s grimacing face, which he was trying hard to keep composed, gradually began to contort. He was struggling with the pain coursing through him. His power was growing, and his Fighting Qi was becoming more refined with the purification of his bloodline, but he had no joy in his heart. His body was being drastically altered by the dragon blood.

Originally, Bernard’s light golden curls quickly turned black, and his sapphire-like eyes turned golden. One by one, small golden scales appeared on his facial skin. His muscles also quickly started bulging, and his body became taller. The clothes he was wearing clung to his body like tight clothes.

“Master!” Bernard’s unusual appearance caused the servants to retreat in shock. Only the old butler stepped forward, showing concern on his face, undeterred by the astonishing changes on Bernard’s body.

“Do not worry, this is a great opportunity I’ve bestowed upon your young master. Rest assured, as long as he withstands this transformation, it will bring him endless benefits,” Muria watched as the old man, who just barely manifested Fighting Qi, stepped forward and couldn’t help showing a hint of admiration. He extended a gentle force, dragging the old man aside to prevent him from disturbing Bernard’s dragonization.

Despite Muria’s reassurances, the old man’s anxious expression didn’t wane. As time passed, Bernard’s body expanded to a point where his clothes could no longer contain it. His robes gradually ripped and bulged muscles appeared. Golden scales covered the exposed skin. He wasn’t human anymore,

With a rip, Bernard’s formal clothes were torn to pieces by his expanding body. Previously standing close to two meters tall, his height now reached two point two meters.

The transformation didn’t stop; his body continued to expand. Though Bernard’s clothes had shattered, he was gradually covered by golden scales of different sizes, maintaining his dignity.

“Roar!” When Bernard’s body expanded to over three meters, the transformation paused for a moment. Just when the servants thought the change was over, Bernard let out a non-human roar. The shock of it made some of the servants bleed from their mouths. They fell back with their ears humming.

Then, the surrounding red flames transformed into a pale golden color. Small arcs of lightning danced across Bernard’s body, and a faint wind stirred inside the room. Spotting this subtle change, a smile crept onto Muria’s face.

This fellow has inherited his three types of power. However, the extent to which he can utilize these powers depends on how well he can integrate with his bloodline. After that, it depends on his future practice and opportunities.

Suddenly, Bernard roared dragon-like and underwent more violent changes. His muscles started tearing apart in chunks. Before the blood could spill from these wounds, the surrounding muscles absorbed it, growing more flesh.

Soon, with a speed discernible to the naked eye, his body grew taller and larger. The cracking sound of his growing bones echoed around the dining room. His bones were growing quickly, but this fast speed didn’t allow his muscles to keep up with the growth.

Due to this gruesome transformation, Bernard was bloody and battered. This Dragon Knight endured endless agony, surpassing the torment of Lingchi, which Muria had suffered in his past life. Lingchi was only endured once, but this transformation was repeatedly tearing his body apart and healing it again.

A familiar scene unfolded before Muria’s eyes. Under the power of the dragon’s blood, Bernard’s body continued to grow, turning him into a skeletal giant. As the muscles couldn’t keep up with his growth, the flesh hung from his body, making him look terrifying.

“This transformation is much fiercer than the previous wolf king.” Muria exclaimed in amazement as he watched the spectacle, then he stood up and walked towards the dragon knight who was currently shedding his human identity. He seemed to be losing control, repeatedly thrashing the floor.

“Evolve or not, don’t destroy my castle.” With a surprised glance from the servants, Muria grabbed their master’s foot and dragged him outside the castle.

“Sir Muria, what are you…?” As numerous servants trembled, the elderly man who spoken up before bravely stepped forward to confront Muria, questioning his intentions toward their master.

“Nothing much. Just thought he should stay outside. This castle is so delicately built, it would be a pity to let it get damaged due to an evolution going wrong.” Muria stated matter-of-factly. Even though he felt the castle offered no military value aside from being pleasing to the eye, it was already built and needed to be protected. After all, it now belonged to him.

The old man was dumbfounded by the response before he silently opened the way, watching as Muria dragged his master outside, throwing him onto the castle square.

“Seems like something is missing?” Watching Bernard, who was gradually evolving into a skeleton giant, Muria furrowed his brow. He had a feeling that a dragonkin’s transformation should not be like this. It was too cruel!

“Oh, now I remember.” Seeing Bernard suddenly start to dig up rocks from the square and stuff them into his mouth, Muria slapped his forehead, and then ordered his servant, the complicated-looking old butler,

“Your master is not fully prepared for evolution. Take all the food in the castle to him. He lacks sustenance for his evolution, and if not replenished, he may starve to death during the process.”

Muria scratched his head in embarrassment, he was a bit inexperienced in this regard. The first time he morphed, it was just a small gold-ranked wolf; the power contained in his blood was enough for it to complete the evolution. The second time was a weakened version of the Blood Clan ancestor who had vast potential within him that had not been tapped into yet. Now, he was transforming a dragon knight who was on the edge of becoming legendary. This was a whole different ordeal.

“If possible, prepare some wind, fire, and lightning elemental crystals for your master – if you have any.”

“Yes, yes, the master has discovered many crystal veins in Thorns Territory.” Upon hearing that Bernard needed these for his evolution, the old man nodded repeatedly like a pecking chicken, and instructed the servants to fetch them.

“When my subordinates arrive, have all these resource points registered, and hand them over to me.” On hearing about the crystal mine, Muria squinted his eyes. He hadn’t noticed any crystal mines when he was inspecting Thorns Territory. It seemed he had been misled by the dragon knight, but it didn’t matter. No matter many tricks he had up his sleeve, from here on he would be working for him, and all his earnings would now belong to Muria…

“Click! Click!” The now nearly ten-meters-tall giant, covered in scales, picked up a fire elemental crystal, placed it in his mouth and chewed it up before swallowing it into his gut. Then, his incomplete body rapidly healed itself; flesh regenerated, muscles reshaped, dragon scales grew, ridges formed on his forehead…

“You’ve regained your sanity.” Muria walked up to the now more elegantly eating transformed giant, assessing his current appearance with a smile.

“Mm!” Bernard, who was still hugely hungry and felt empty, continued to stuff elemental crystals into his mouth. His gaze, however, was fixed on Muria. “You’re not a pure-blood dragon.”

His tone was very certain. Bernard believed in his own judgment; mere dragon blood can’t make one’s body become so huge, almost like a giant.

Under true dragonization, a human body would indeed become larger, but not to this exaggeration. He had created dragonkin before, and they never had this kind of dramatic effect.

“Mm,” Muria nodded, “Indeed, I’m not a pure-blooded giant dragon. I’m a hybrid, a mix of Titan and Golden Dragon.”

“Titan?” Even with a face full of dragon scales, Bernard still showed a shocked expression. “Does such a legendary creature really exist?”

“Of course, they exist,” Muria couldn’t help but roll his eyes at this country bumpkin. “Stick with me and you will fare well. With a single drop of my blood, you will avoid a thousand years struggle, to say the least.”

“A thousand years!” Upon hearing Muria’s words, Bernard didn’t refute them. He could feel the terrifying strength contained in his body. He felt that his current physique might be able to face off against his mount, the Red Dragon. He seemed to be under the illusion that he could tear apart a giant dragon with his bare hands. In fact, this was not an illusion, but Bernard didn’t know that yet.
