Ridan laughed out loud, floating backward while clutching his stomach.

"She really said it!!!! Ahahahaah!" Ridan wiped his tears, trying his best not to continue laughing.

"W... what?" Glacia’s cheeks flushed. "I didn’t say anything weird!"

Ridan mimicked Glacia’s earlier tone. "I’ve never caused any problems for others~ and I never looked down on people just because I’m a royal Ice Dragon~"

Ridan wiggled his eyebrows. "But you hit this human! The one you fell in love with, the moment you spotted him! Irony!!!"

"RIDAN!!!" Glacia puffed her cheeks, puckered her lips, and glared hard at him.

"Ooh~ scary~" Ridan wiggled his body, floating in lazy circles while sticking out a tiny, ethereal tongue. "The mighty Ice Dragon princess is blushing and pouting because I pointed out she punches her crush~ How adorable. What are you gonna do? Freeze me? Kill me?"

"Oh wait, I’m already a spirit~ Hahaha"

Glacia exhaled and kept looking at Hazuki, still encased in ice.

"You sure he won’t die from it?"

Ridan smirked. "If he died now, you know what would happen to me?"

Glacia looked at Ridan, who floated backward, spinning lazily like he didn’t have a care in the world. "What would happen if he died?"

"Oh... I wouldn’t be bound to his sword anymore, and I don’t think I’d be able to float freely like this." Ridan smirked, diving down toward the snow before pulling up in a sharp, cheeky arc, his puffball body leaving a faint purple trail.

"Really?" Glacia looked up at him.

"Yes. I can’t explain it fully since I don’t want you to get into the ’trouble’ I’m facing, but one thing I’m sure of is, I’ll be sealed again if this human dies."

Ridan smirked and began circling Hazuki with excited, playful loops. "So as long as I can freely do this!" Ridan floated forward in a tight spiral, then shot upward in a corkscrew. "That means this human... ah~ Your crush... is still alive~"

Glacia just smiled, keeping her eyes on Hazuki as she rested her cheek on her knee, hugging her legs close with a soft, thoughtful expression.

Ridan, who had been floating in excitement, paused and glanced toward Glacia.

"I remember you mentioned something about a goddess earlier."

"Yeah. What about it?" Glacia looked up at Ridan.

"What did you mean by ’nation represent’?" Ridan asked while rubbing his chin.

"Ah, that? You’re the strongest and most genius wizard from the old days, and you don’t know?" Glacia smirked.

Ridan narrowed his eyes toward her. "You forgot I was sealed and now have to follow this crush of yours around? Of course I know what you mean by goddess and representing a human kingdom like you said earlier. But I need more detail on it."

"Ugh." Glacia exhaled. "Fine. You might not know, but from what information I’ve gathered from other dragons and travelers... There’s been a wave of summoned heroes. Every major kingdom has summoned at least few hero from another world. The Human Kingdom has summoned... hmm... I believe six summoned heroes. While the Elven Kingdom managed to summon three."

"Oh, really?" Ridan rubbed his chin again while floating and circling Glacia slowly. "I think, if I’m not mistaken... I might have encountered a summoned elven hero before. And those human heroes... I believe I saw in this guy’s memories that he encountered them before, back when he was still... hmm... how do I say it?" Ridan put both hands behind his back while floating slowly. "Weak?"

"Oh, really? Where do you think you met those elven summoned heroes?"

"Maybe it’s just my imagination, or I might be wrong, but back when Hazuki and I were leaving Pawston in the Beastkin Kingdom... well... let’s just say I saved Hazuki by telling him to run as fast as he could when... ahem..." Ridan smirked. "...a group of horny male orcs in heat was chasing him." He rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I think we passed by three elves on the road... so they might have been heroes, or perhaps just some adventurers."

"Oh?" Glacia looked at Ridan. "What happened after that?"

"Ah..." Ridan glanced sideways. "Let’s just say, this guy here is super safe, but... all we heard from a distance while running was... ahem... a very, very loud scream~"

"Whoa~ How low can you be, Ridan?" Glacia narrowed her eyes toward him.

"What? It’s not like it was intentional. Besides, my duty is to guide him and make sure he’s safe. Even now that he’s grown stronger, I still have my main duty here, masochist dragon princess~ Like I need to care about others when my... ahem... main mission is to guide this human... or well... your crush~"

She shook her head and exhaled before resting her chin on her knee.

Ridan glanced at her. "So tell me more about what you know about summoned heroes."

Glacia looked up at the sky. "The Dwarven Kingdom also summoned their heroes... I don’t know how many. The Halfling Kingdom summoned several too. Even the other human kingdom, also summoned several."

"Ah... you mean the High Humans, huh?" Ridan chuckled. "Kingdom of Whiszom."

Glacia let out a soft laugh. "They call themselves High Humans, but there’s nothing special about them. They’re just like other humans, just with more knowledge and records, a bit more advanced, with libraries, tomes, and archives. They can live a little longer than regular humans too, about 150 to 200 years."

"Yeah... I still remember meeting one a thousand years ago. Super annoying. Thought they were special. I still remember that guy pissing his pants when a weakling goblin scout charged at him with a stone axe!" Ridan said while rolling through the air, laughing.

"Yeah... that guy is probably dead by now." Glacia smiled.

"Hah! Who cares? When this Hazuki wakes up, I’ll warn him to slap those High Humans if he meets one. Or better yet? Dropkick them hard. Bwahahaha!"

"So what are you going to do after this, Ridan?" Glacia asked.

"Hmm? Wait for this guy to wake up, and continue gathering the remaining Special Herb quest that this dumb guy took secretly before." Ridan chuckled softly.

"And after that?" Glacia asked again.

"How would I know? Perhaps this guy will go straight to his Pinky Promise girl, that princess... ah... no... Ellyna... This guy is crazy about that kiddo. He did mention wanting to sightsee this world. Since, you know, he’s a summoned hero from a far more advanced world than Whiszom." He chuckled softly.

Glacia smiled again. "Can I join you guys on your journey?"

"Hah? No way. Didn’t I tell you before not to get involved in the mess I’m in now? There are forces at play here that even I can’t handle. You think this is some fun adventure? It’s a damn minefield, and I’m just trying to keep this idiot alive long enough to figure out why he was even brought here."
