Chapter 2415 - 2434: The Old Seven Stars Schemes for Himself

Chapter 2415 - 2434: The Old Seven Stars Schemes for Himself

"I can only tell you who the mastermind is. As for the others, I don’t intend to say anything, so if you want to ask, ask the mastermind." Raul Graves seemed frightened by Ayden Acme’s ferocious expression. After all, this is a personal vendetta, and if Ayden really goes after Crystal Locke, he truly would have no Regret Pills to swallow.

His greatest weakness is his wife, Crystal Locke, so he cannot allow her to be in any danger.

"Who is the mastermind?" Ayden Acme’s long hair fluttered as his sword-like eyebrows shot up.

"Donovan Blackwell and the Martial Saint."

"Donovan Blackwell and the Martial Saint?" Ayden Acme was taken aback. How could it be Donovan Blackwell and the Martial Saint? He had been investigating for years and hadn’t found a single clue, yet now Raul Graves was telling him it was Donovan Blackwell and the Martial Saint?

"Are you sure?" Ayden Acme coldly asked.

"Why would I lie to you about something like this? Although they are the masterminds, the participants are not of any lesser status than them."

"And you? What role did you play in all this?" Ayden Acme asked icily.

"I didn’t actually participate, but back then my Blazing Flame Sect did provide some intelligence and a few Divine Beasts."

"Fine, I will remember what you’ve said today. If you dare deceive me, I’ll make you wish you were dead." Ayden Acme’s teeth ground together audibly; was it really Donovan Blackwell and the Martial Saint? To think, Donovan Blackwell had wanted to take him as a disciple back in the day.

"Damn it, I will make you wish you were dead." Ayden Acme said with hatred.

...

Meanwhile, the Right Saint, who was drinking with Landyn Torres and Seven Stars Elder, suddenly received a message, and upon receiving it, he stood up abruptly.

"Heaven is truly on my side, heaven is truly on my side, hahaha." The Right Saint laughed heartily, while the others looked confounded.

"My lord, what is the good news?" Landyn Torres asked curiously.

"A joyous occasion, a joyous occasion." He spun around the hall twice, then suddenly stopped and said, "Here’s the deal, you come with this saint, everyone else stays behind. Seven Stars Elder, make sure to watch over Gabriel Freeman until I return, and when I do, I will soar to new heights."

"What joyous occasion is this?" Seven Stars Elder asked, his eyes shifting.

"It doesn’t concern you; I and the Think Tank will go, that’s it. Everyone else, obey Seven Stars Daojun’s command, any defiance will be punished by death."

"Yes." All the black-clad men around the Right Saint immediately knelt.

"Think Tank, let’s go. At the earliest, we’ll be back in three to five days; at the latest, it won’t take more than half a month." The Right Saint rubbed his hands together excitedly, as if something monumental was about to happen.

Yet Landyn Torres frowned heavily; the Right Saint was acting too rashly. How could he just leave like this? They had only just begun interrogating Yusuf Zuck, and making him completely submit would take time.

"What’s wrong, Think Tank?" The Right Saint asked humbly.

"Nothing, let’s just go and come back as quickly as possible." Landyn Torres glanced at Seven Stars Elder, then stood up to follow the Right Saint.

Soon, the two of them headed to a side chamber, where there was a rotating Teleportation formation.

However, before they stepped onto the Teleportation formation, Landyn Torres suddenly transmitted a message: "My lord, can the Seven Stars Daojun be trusted? Gabriel Freeman is the Child of the Era. Everyone knows his importance, and if we have him, acquiring the other four could lead us to the Creation Realm. What if we leave and Seven Stars Daojun decides to take Gabriel Freeman for himself?"

"Hmm?" The Right Saint raised an eyebrow: "He wouldn’t dare." He chuckled coldly: "Although Seven Stars Elder isn’t my servant, he’s still trustworthy. Besides, his lair is here; where could he go? And you may not know, but Seven Stars Elder is actually one of my Asura Gate protectors, with a status not higher than mine, so he dares not act rashly."

"You never know until it’s too late," Landyn Torres advised again.

"You’re right. If that old fool does become greedy, it won’t be good." The Right Saint scratched his chin, then lowered his voice: "But we have to leave. My people brought me the message that a World Creation Realm Cave Mansion I discovered before has opened. They’ve guarded it for years, and it’s still unknown to outsiders. So I’m taking you there, hoping we all gain something. By then, reaching the Creation Realm won’t be an issue. I truly see you as my right-hand man, because with you around, we can accomplish anything."

"So we must go, there’s no choice."

"Why not take Seven Stars Daojun with us?" Landyn Torres suggested.

"It’s not that I don’t want to take him, but when I discovered that World Creation Realm Cave Mansion, I learned the rules for entering. Only two can enter at a time. That’s why when he asked me what the joyous occasion was, I didn’t say unless you don’t want to go and I take him instead." The Right Saint looked at Landyn Torres.

"Then I’ll go with you, my lord. I can offer counsel." Landyn Torres wasn’t going to miss such an opportunity.

"Exactly, that’s why I’m taking you. But you’re right; if Seven Stars Elder has ulterior motives, he’ll benefit while we miss out." The Right Saint was anxious; they were stuck between going and not going.

"We can secretly issue orders to the others that if Seven Stars Daojun harbors ill intentions, they should kill him immediately."

"They’re not his match though," the Right Saint said in frustration.

"Even so, we should issue that order. Or we could take the Seven Stars Calabash with us and return it when we come back."

"Yes, yes, let’s take his gourd." The Right Saint slapped his thigh. Taking the gourd would ensure everything.

"Let’s go, grab the gourd." The Right Saint strode back.

However, when he and Landyn Torres returned to the main hall, Seven Stars Elder was nowhere to be seen, and the Seven-Star Treasure Gourd on the table was gone.

The black-robed men were still drinking, as if nothing had happened.

"Where is he? Where is the Seven Stars Daojun?" Landyn Torres quickened his pace and asked.

"Huh? Why have the lord and Think Tank returned? Daojun said he couldn’t handle the drink and went to rest in the back courtyard." All the black-clad men stood up.

"Let’s go." The Right Saint and Landyn Torres both had an uneasy feeling, so they took all the black-clad men to the back courtyard.

The back courtyard had gardens and pavilions, small bridges and flowing waters; Seven Stars Daojun had a taste for refinement.

But once the Right Saint and Landyn Torres searched the back courtyard thoroughly, they found no sign of Seven Stars Daojun; he wasn’t there at all.

"My lord, this is bad, I’m afraid he’s fled." Landyn Torres urgently said.

"How can it be so fast?" The Right Saint was also anxious. How long had it been, and that Seven Stars Elder had escaped?

"Search, search, search all seven islands for me, quickly!" The Right Saint roared.

A large number of black-robed men immediately dispersed to search. Half an hour later, they all reported back that the seven islands were empty, and Seven Stars Daojun was nowhere to be found!

"Pfft," the Right Saint spat out blood in anger. He had spent his days playing with a hawk, only to have his eyes pecked out in the end. Damn Seven Stars Elder was too ruthless, too swift and decisive.

Landyn Torres was also infuriated, but at the same time, he was filled with deep fear. If Seven Stars Elder wanted to take Gabriel Freeman for himself, then...the outcome for Seven Stars Elder would be terribly tragic; Gabriel Freeman would toy with him until the end.

"It’s over, all our plans are ruined. Seven Stars Daojun will die, and Gabriel Freeman will escape." Landyn Torres looked devastated, knowing he had made one careless move and lost the entire game.
