Chapter 109: False God
Chapter 109: False God
"Damn it! Fine! Take all of my power!"
Iganu’s Negative Energy coursed through the veins of Zeneros. He was enhanced once more.
The Potions. The Adrenaline. The Raven Armor. And now, Negative Energy. A dark halo formed behind Zeneros’s head.
"I am the Eldritch Knight. I shall carry the weight of the world. I shall become the devil that all evil fears. I shall strike you down, False God!"
His voice harmonized with the faith of this world and carried everywhere around the world. They heard him and they cheered for him.
The small Raven Knight bolted at the large Golden God.
Golden rain washed down the Holy City. Each golden droplet landed on Zeneros made him heavier, slower, and drained power.
Giant golden plants sprouted from the ground. They shot their branches toward the Raven Knight.
The Raven Knight flew above them and continued approaching the golden statue. The branches suddenly moved higher and blocked him.
A false fire sun appeared in the sky. Its rim spun fiercely and sent out circles of golden fire toward the branches.
The branches caught fire instantly and burned the Raven Knight inside. Black feathers shot out and sent all the branches away. Golden fire did catch onto him. As his sleek black armor was coated in gold.
Negative Energy shot out from within the Raven Knight and destroyed the gold on him.
He coughed. More blood.
"Give up, Zeneros. If I don’t have the Golden Throne, you may win. But with it, I hold the power of this entire world in my hands." Belina said. "You can’t win an entire world."
"I vowed to protect the innocent, strike down evil, and vanquish the deceptor." Zeneros repeated his vow once more.
He dashed forward.
"Stubborn bastard!" Belina scoffed.
Golden boulders appeared around Belina and shot toward Zeneros.
Negative Energy focused onto the dark blade as Zeneros swung the blade toward the boulders, turning it into a large giant dark beam.
It crushed the boulders into pieces.
Zeneros shot toward Belina once again. He didn’t go straight this time and changed his directions repeatedly. Each time he dodged another deadly element.
"It’s useless, Zeneros. You can’t win."
Golden lightning appeared in the cloud above. They struck down with extreme velocity. This time, Zeneros couldn’t evade them. He was pushed down onto the ground.
The golden lightning kept pushing him into the ground. His Raven Armor broke off pieces by pieces.
"It should be the end now." The voice inside the statue echoed.
Zeneros climbed out of the hole. His Raven Armor disappeared. His Anti-Demonic Robe was in pieces.
White smoke appeared around him, pushing the harmful energies inside out.
Zeneros grabbed the white robe and threw it away. It was broken. He didn’t need it no more.
"Another ability? You sure have a lot of them." Belina said.
"You should have seen a monster I faced. That thing has so much powers I can’t even remember them all."
Zeneros chugged down more potions.
One each for the enhancement potions. Two each for Recovery Potions.
He ran out of Enhancement Potions now. Only eight bottles of Recovery Potions left, four each for Healing and Mana.
"You still want to fight?" Belina frowned.
Zeneros only chuckled, not answering.
The white smoke disappeared and he transformed once more. The Raven Armor returned in one piece.
"I believe there is a way. Ten times!" The thick red aura reappeared.
The effects of the previous Enhancement Potions hadn’t even ended yet and he had already drunk more.
"Twenty times!" The Adrenaline aura shook the earth.
"Thirty times!" A hole was created around Zeneros.
Blood shot out of his nose, his skin cracked.
"You fool!"
Golden lightning shot down again. But this time Zeneros was faster. He disappeared from his location and reappeared just right in front of Belina.
"You?!" Even Belina was surprised at his speed. Her thoughts couldn’t keep up this time.
Zeneros struck straight down. The black blade turned into a large black beam that slammed directly on the head of the golden statue.
Everyone held their breaths.
General Dragovic and the other two stood up. They could see everything from here.
"Is that it?" Dr. Avaline said.
"I don’t know." General Dragovic shook his head.
Neros hadn’t blinked for a few minutes now. His eyes stayed on the spectacle afar.
Oliphim and his Priests didn’t watch. They knelt down. Not toward their God. But toward Zeneros. They were praying. They prayed for him to win.
"Our hearts and souls are directed to you, Master Blackburn." Oliphim mumbled.
Kaito jumped up in his seat and made a fist the air. "Hell, yeah! Kill that bitch!"
The Golden Statue caught the large beam before it could hit her. Zeneros drove the blade down more but he couldn’t. Plants grew on her shoulder to support her. Metal floated in the air constantly shooting up.
"Almost got me." Belina smirked.
Golden lightning shot toward Zeneros and sent him flying. One of his wings was destroyed.
He rolled on the ground for a long distance before stopping.
Belina didn’t say anything this time. She knew Zeneros would not stop.
’It’s a pity to kill such a good specimen.’
Golden lightning bolts rampaged the area non-stop. This time, she wanted to make sure he couldn’t survive.
Piper and Emily were watching everything while inside a military compound. Piper covered Emily’s eyes.
"Don’t look."
"He! He..." Emily teared up.
Something shifted. A large being appeared right where Zeneros was. It was as gigantic as the Golden Statue.
It had four wings behind his back. It wore an armor just like the Raven Knight and its helmet had a raven beak.
The helmet covered the upper face of the wearer. One giant eye rested on the surface of the helmet.
"You are..." Belina froze.
"The Monster Beneath the Knight."
The Prisoner had also become larger. Zeneros swung the blade toward Belina.
A large energy blade went over the entire Holy City and cut all the buildings horizontally in two.
The thick cloud layer dissipated, leaving only the clear night sky full of stars above.
Moonlight shined down upon them. A golden statue and a giant wearing a black armor.
