Chapter 539 - 537: Trespassing into Private Residences is Illegal

Lu Xiao was shocked by this woman’s lack of intelligence, and he yelled furiously: "Leng Wanxi, are you fucking crazy with desire for a man? Go outside and take a look. If you can walk out of here unscathed today, then I’ll cooperate with you!"

After dropping that line, Lu Xiao turned and walked upstairs to his room without looking back, slamming the door behind him.

Seeing this, Leng Wanxi felt a surge of ominous premonition.

She went to the window, looked outside, and saw many people in uniforms. The front door, which had been locked, was now open, and a crowd was marching into the house.

Leng Wanxi finally understood what Lu Xiao meant. Because, in the crowd behind, she saw the man she had been longing for day and night, along with a woman who shouldn’t have been by his side.

After a two-second silence, she quickly brought the pastries to the living room, took a piece, and "accidentally" smeared it on Xinyun’s face, laughing while saying: "Oops, Xinyun has become a big flower cat now."

As she spoke, she took out a tissue and carefully wiped Xinyun’s face, making her giggle with laughter.

It was at this moment that the people from outside came in and formed an arc in the living room, surrounding the three people on the sofa.

Upon seeing this, Leng Wanxi immediately hugged the two children in her arms, warily watching those people, "Who are you? It’s illegal to break into someone’s house!"

Dabao was playing with the iPad when he was suddenly embraced by perfume-laden arms, also blocking his view, which irritated him greatly.

While Leng Wanxi was speaking, he struggled out of her embrace, taking Xiaobao with him from her arms.

"Miss Leng, have you done something illegal?" Dabao asked while hugging the quietly snacking Xiaobao, addressing Leng Wanxi.

Leng Wanxi hadn’t expected Dabao to suddenly ask this question, and for a moment she couldn’t react.

By the time she gathered herself to speak, she heard the two children looking excitedly behind her.

"Daddy!"

"Mommy!"

She turned stiffly, looking behind her, only to see a man and a woman slowly walking towards them, or rather, towards the two children.

Perhaps shocked by their sudden appearance, Xiaobao stuffed the pastry into her mouth and, along with Dabao, ran towards them.

Xiao Qing, seeing that the two children were safe and sound, finally let go of the enormous weight in his heart, and hurriedly crouched down to embrace them.

"Dabao, Xiaobao, are you alright?"

"We’re fine," said Dabao.

Xiaobao held Xiao Qing’s face, giving him a kiss, and then pointed at the dazed Leng Wanxi on the sofa, saying: "Mommy, this is our new teacher, she brought us home to make us pastries."

After saying that, she showed Xiao Qing the plate of pastries on the table.

Facing what she showed, Xiao Qing looked over at the table and saw indeed a plate of pastries, with remnants still at the corner of Xiaobao’s mouth.

She nodded her head, "Now that we’ve had our pastries, shall we go home?"

"Okay."

Xiao Qing walked out holding Dabao and Xiaobao, and when passing by Lu Jinyang, she gave him a glance.

Once outside, Xiao Qing suddenly stopped, called Peng Yi over, and then said to the two children: "Dabao, Xiaobao, go home with Uncle Peng first, grandpa and grandma are waiting for you at home."

Looking up, Dabao asked: "What about you?"

"Mommy needs to fetch Daddy, it might be a bit late, but Mommy promises you, I’ll be back soon, alright?"

"Okay then."

Peng Yi left with Dabao and Xiaobao, and Xiao Qing breathed a sigh of relief, then headed back inside the house.

Just as she reached the entrance, she heard sobbing and talking coming from inside. She stopped subconsciously to listen to the conversation inside.
