Chapter 508 - 506 The room was pitch black, nothing was visible

Xiao Qing didn’t think much of it and took the key before walking inside.

After she turned around, she did not see Leng Yixing standing there, laughing to himself and shaking his head. His words were full of holes; how could she not have noticed?

After asking the waiter, Xiao Qing knew exactly where the room was and quickly made her way there.

Yet, at the door, she hesitated.

If Lu Jinyang was inside doing something unspeakable and she accidentally caught him in the act, wouldn’t it be incredibly awkward?

Xiao Qing, as if faced with the dilemma of the century, hesitated unusually, despite usually being decisive.

However, if Lu Jinyang was injured and lying inside right now, in need of her, but she was dawdling here... With that thought, she quickly opened the door, entered, and then closed it behind her.

The room was pitch black, she couldn’t see anything.

Xiao Qing tossed her bag aside, raised her hands in a crossed position in front of her, ready to defend herself if something unexpected happened.

"Lu Jinyang?" She tried calling out, but there was no response.

She moved her steps slowly and called out again, "Jinyang? Are you there?"

In the darkness, a familiar deep male voice sounded, and Xiao Qing let out a sigh of relief.

He said, "Turn on the light."

Xiao Qing was embarrassed, mourning for her momentary lapse of intelligence as she hadn’t thought to turn on the light when she entered.

She stepped back a few paces, found the wall switch, and turned on the light. The first thing she did was to bend down to pick up her bag from the floor, then she straightened up and looked towards the source of the voice.

But with just one glance, she was stunned, and the bag she had just picked up fell from her hands back to the floor.

She stared dumbfounded at everything before her, unable to speak for a long time.

The vast room was full of flowers everywhere except for the corner she was standing in and the corner near the bathroom where Lu Jinyang was. Masses of roses of every color densely laid out, even on the bed.

The man quietly watched her, waiting for her to speak first.

She was wearing a white evening gown, its elegantly curving strapless neckline further accentuating her delicate waist as though a single grip could not contain it. The high, tightly coiffed black bun complemented her snow-white gown to perfection.

At the hem of the long dress, fine pleats would gently sway with the movement of the oncoming footsteps, appearing like a fairy gliding across under the soft yellow light.

As he watched, he became mesmerized.

Xiao Qing was dumbstruck staring at the room full of flowers, not just petals, actual blossoms. After a long while, she finally regained her voice.

"I thought you had an accident? No, I mean, Peng Yi called me and said you were in trouble and told me to come over... he was using your phone..."

Xiao Qing’s words trailed off as she saw the smile on the man’s lips, and she immediately understood.

This was all a "plot"!

She pouted, "You’re so boring."

The man’s face darkened instantly, and he said gravely, "What did you say?"

It was his first time putting effort into this so-called romantic endeavor, and not only did it fail to achieve the anticipated effect, but he also received such commentary. Lu Jinyang was not pleased.

Xiao Qing, sensing the change in his tone, quickly shook her head, "Nothing." But as she looked at the vividly beautiful flowers in front of her, she started to worry, "But how am I going to get past now?"

No sooner had she finished speaking, the tall figure began to walk towards her. She saw him clear a small space as he moved, barely enough to fit her feet.

The man stood in front of her, looking down at her from his height, "You just said boring, hm?"
