Chapter 221: Slaanesh: Zeke, Why Are You So Selfish? (Bonus)

This is the bonus Chapter for reaching 1200 Powerstones.

Zeke did not linger among the ruined walls of Commorragh. He knew full well that although the souls of the Dark Eldar were sweet, they were absolutely not enough to attract Slaanesh’s gaze for long.

Zeke didn’t stop the planetary-grade Tunnel Bore. Instead, he let it continue its rampant rampage through Commorragh. The dropped items wouldn’t despawn anytime soon; he could always come back and pick them up later.

First, he separated one of everything in his inventory, placed them into the Transmutation Table, and recorded them.

Afterward, Zeke began to construct the gateway leading to Slaanesh’s domain.

Zeke took out Glowstone and arranged it into the shape of a Nether Portal, placing a Blackstone Amplifier beside it.

This method of reaching the realm inhabited by Slaanesh was something he and Archmagos Cawl had discovered together while underground on Cadia.

The Glowstone portal emitted a sparkling, faint light. Zeke placed a Bucket of Water inside it, and the portal to "Heaven" was officially complete.

Entering this time wouldn’t be like visiting Nurgle’s Garden with the Emperor’s company. It was better to be a bit careful.

Mentally prepared, Zeke took a step into the portal.

His sense of reality receded like the tide. When he regained his senses, Zeke found himself standing on a floating sky island.

The sky was a bruised, purplish-black color. The air was torn by a delirious ecstasy. Desire was no longer an abstract longing, but a tangible, physical temptation within arm’s reach.

The ground of the sky island felt as if it were composed of some sort of flesh and blood, making a squelching splat, splat

sound when stepped upon.

Far away, at the edge of the horizon, stood a palace even more extravagant than the Imperial Palace on Terra. This was the Palace of Pleasure, where Slaanesh resided.

Surrounding Slaanesh’s Palace of Pleasure were six concentric circles arranged in order, each displaying a different landscape.

These concentric circles were not merely planes favored by Slaanesh; they served as a protective barrier.

An intruder could only reach the Palace of Pleasure at the center of Slaanesh’s domain by passing through all six rings.

Time was tight and the task was heavy. Zeke pulled up a Blueprint, and with a wave of his hand, a staircase made of Cobblestone extended forward from the sky island.

Zeke broke into a sprint, running up the staircase to arrive at the outermost ring: the Circle of Avidity.

As Zeke’s feet hit the ground, he stepped onto clinking gold coins.

Mountains of gold coins blanketed every inch of the ground. On magnificently shaped trees, it wasn’t ordinary fruit that hung from the branches, but diamonds and other precious crystals.

"Ah, so much money! It’s all mine! All of it!"

A pathetic wretch passed in front of Zeke, his sallow face twisted with greed.

Unlike the other three Chaos Gods, Slaanesh loved to lure visitors into Her unholy domain, so one could see visitors of all races here.

This pathetic wretch didn’t even spare Zeke a glance. He merely crawled on the ground, fumbling through the shining, glowing coins, trying to stuff even more of them into his already bulging pockets.

He was completely oblivious to the fact that these gold coins had long since made his steps so heavy he could barely move.

Zeke remembered he had a mission to complete and didn’t linger.

Just as he was about to leave, however, he stopped in his tracks, a violent struggle erupting within his heart.

This is all money!

The moment this thought popped up, Zeke immediately grew vigilant and took a sip of Milk.

Nothing happened. The thought remained at the bottom of his heart.

Crap. This is actually my own thought.

Zeke only agonized over it for a moment before making his choice.

A thief never leaves empty-handed. Slaanesh’s goal was to use greed to keep people trapped here, but how could a mere Slaanesh ever satisfy Zeke’s greed?

Zeke pulled out the Transmutation Table, then chugged a Potion of Speed 255. Everything around him slowed to a crawl.

It wouldn’t take much time. A Potion of Speed 255 was more than enough to make up for any wasted time.

Zeke then drank a Bottle o’ Sanity to ensure he wouldn’t be entangled by Slaanesh’s debuffs, and began sprinting around the Circle of Avidity.

An alien traveler, currently drowning in a bath of gold coins, suddenly felt the ground beneath him vanish as the pile of money disappeared.

The traveler hung blankly in mid-air for a split second before crashing heavily onto the dirt.

"What happened?" he muttered in confusion. Suddenly, that gust of wind hooked back around. Zeke patted the traveler, shook out all the gold coins on his person, and then sped off again.

This practically demolition-style upheaval naturally could not escape the gaze of certain entities.

Within the Palace of Pleasure, Slaanesh’s favored champion, the fallen Primarch Fulgrim, noticed the outermost ring.

Fulgrim was using a mirror in his opulent palace to spy on everything happening outside, his expression shifting unpredictably.

At first, he had assumed some blind fool had accidentally wandered into Slaanesh’s domain again.

It wasn’t until he saw the originally resplendent Circle of Avidity become as barren as a deserted grave that he realized something was wrong.

In just a few short seconds, the Circle of Avidity had been emptied clean by this person, turning into the Circle of Poverty.

There was no longer a single thing there capable of inciting desire; it had been replaced by a patch of bare, naked earth.

A group of travelers from various races, who still hadn’t processed what had happened, stood blankly in place, staring at this desolate wasteland.

"How is this possible?" Astonishment was written all over Fulgrim’s morbidly perfect face.

People who could break through the Circle of Avidity did exist, but most of them relied on the iron rule of asceticism.

For someone like Zeke, who infinitely magnified the greed within his heart to directly rob the entire Circle of Avidity completely bare—such an act was a spectacle that even this fallen Primarch had never seen in his entire life.

As long as you are more greedy than greed itself, you can pocket the Circle of Avidity, is that it?

"This is only the first trial," Fulgrim muttered through gritted teeth, deciding to hold his ground and continue watching this absurd play unfold.

Zeke swaggered onward.

He had originally worried that these treasures were illusions formed by Warp energy.

But what kind of artifact was the Transmutation Table? All things held value.

Illusions couldn’t be generated out of thin air; they also required Warp energy to sustain them. That energy could also be collected into the Transmutation Table and converted into a considerable value.

Zeke watched the wildly surging numbers in the Transmutation Table, unable to close his mouth from smiling.

Having passed the trial of the sixth ring, Zeke knew he had to hurry and couldn’t be so slow anymore. He quickly took the path he’d built from the sky island and arrived at the fifth ring.

Zeke planned to just rush through the remaining five rings in one breath, but the moment he arrived at this ring, his mouth began to water uncontrollably.

The Circle of Gluttony.

Beyond a narrow strip formed by trillions of gold-cast teeth lay a vast, deep crimson lake of wine.

And in the middle of this wine lake was an island dotted with long tables carved from logs, upon which were laid out all kinds of delicacies that exhausted the limits of mortal imagination.

Zeke swallowed hard.

Even though reason warned him this might be a Warp illusion, he couldn’t help but grab a chicken leg coated in golden cheese and viciously bite into its crispy skin.
