Chapter 371 372

Chapter 371 372

At the battle arena of Heaven's Arena, a tense silence enveloped the crowd. Around the remaining hostages, numerous electronic robots wielding laser guns stood with their infrared eyes flickering before finally dimming. Their mechanical arms drooped lifelessly, and the guns slipped from their grasp, clattering to the ground with a series of "clangs."

The collective clattering sound brought an abrupt silence to the arena.

"Beep beep beep?"

In the hushed environment, the static from the screens was the only sound cutting through the quiet. After several seconds of this eerie calm...

"Run!!"

"Boom!"

A frenzied shout erupted, and everyone who had survived in the arena suddenly snapped into action, causing an uproar. Faces filled with either wild joy, relief from a narrow escape, or tears and snot, jostled together, painting a vivid picture of human emotion.

The entire venue descended into chaos. Those who had been trapped in the stands by the robots now dashed madly towards the exits at their fastest speed. Although they didn't know what exactly had happened, it was clear that this was the perfect chance to flee!

Everyone pushed forward with all their might, heedless of anything else.

"Get out of my way!"

Although there were several exits from Heaven's Arena, they seemed insufficient for the surging crowd. Those running from behind, desperate to escape sooner, began to push forward with grim determination, leading to inevitable shoving.

In such a situation, the safety hazards became glaringly apparent. Some Nen users, in particular, brazenly used their Nen abilities to shove others aside.

The first stampede occurred quickly.

And once the first fell, the second and third followed...

The sounds of shoving, cries, curses, and screams filled the air without pause! The ugliness of human nature was on full display at this moment!

Ironically, the spectators who had remained safe under the threat of the robots faced the greatest danger during their escape!

It was truly a bitter irony!

"Shall we go too?"

After observing the situation around them, Biscuit suggested to Wing and the others.

Though unsure of the exact circumstances, it was indeed a good opportunity to leave.

"Yes?"

Wing nodded, carrying the injured and immobile Zushi on his back, staying close to Biscuit.

With a slight release of their Nen, the group headed towards the area with more Nen users.

The Nen users who were jostling each other ahead stopped in their tracks upon sensing the group's aura, sensibly making way for them.

Of course, there were some who didn't get the hint, but Biscuit easily dealt with them, sending them flying with a punch each.

With such efficiency, the four of them quickly left the scene.

Meanwhile, back at the arena's main control...

"This guy is really something else!!"

Gon staggered slightly as he got up from the ground.

Wiping the blood from his forehead, eyes, nose, and mouth, his hand was sticky with it.

His green jacket was tattered, though not entirely in shreds, it was in poor shape.

At his feet lay two yo-yos and a large pool of blood.

It was unclear whether the blood belonged to Gon and Killua or to Shura, who lay unconscious on the ground before them.

"All done!!"

Killua leaped down from the control console, also wiping blood from his face.

"Are you okay like this?"

He looked at Gon with concern.

During the recent battle, because the needle in his brain had not yet been removed, Killua had to rely on his yo-yos and electricity to engage in hit-and-run tactics with Shura.

The one who faced Shura head-on was naturally Gon.

Thanks to Gon tapping into a fighting style reminiscent of Luffy's, using his elastic body to increase speed and force, his Rock-Paper-Scissors attack became even more powerful.

In the battle against Shura, a foe far surpassing any they had faced before, Gon's latent potential was unleashed.

Originally, on Greed Island, they would have fought the Bomber group led by Genthru to enhance their skills and gain experience.

However, due to Feitan's intervention, they missed out on that baptism of battle.

But now, the fight with Shura provided even better training results than with Genthru's group.

As Gon fought, the melee combat ignited his blood, making it boil.

The next step, akin to Luffy, would be to accelerate his blood flow, enhancing his physical capabilities several times over.

By sacrificing some of his lifespan, he could exponentially boost his physical strength and abilities.

This would be akin to unlocking the Jet Second Gear!!

In fact, Gon was already showing signs of developing in that direction.

Now, Gon's face was covered in blood, partly due to injuries sustained in battle.

But also because, unknowingly, he had sped up his blood flow, causing his blood vessels to burst under the strain, making him appear like a blood-soaked figure.

---

However, the actual injuries weren't as severe as they seemed.

"I'm fine," Gon said, wiping the blood from his face. The streaks of red made his face appear even more fierce.

Listening to Gon's voice, which still held a decent amount of strength, it was clear that despite his battered appearance, his injuries were mostly superficial. Internally, he hadn't sustained any serious damage, which allowed Killua to breathe a slight sigh of relief.

With Shura dealt with, Killua quickly severed the signal to minimize the negative impact of the incident.

Not far from them, in another part of the arena...

"What's with these guys?!"

Leorio swung his briefcase in one hand and a small dagger in the other. Amidst the abnormal crowd, he maneuvered clumsily, his body smeared with fruit peels, sewage, and garbage from the sewers, making him look utterly disheveled.

"I just crawled out, and now I'm caught up in this mess. What on earth is happening here?!"

Reflecting on his recent experiences, Leorio felt his composure beginning to crumble. What a series of unfortunate events! First, he was outside covering a manhole, then he encountered a group of strange figures in black cloaks, got knocked out, and was thrown into the sewers. After finally navigating his way out, he found himself under attack by a group of bizarre individuals.

"Aren't these people the Floor Masters of Heaven's Arena?!"

While barely fending off attacks, Leorio couldn't shake the doubts in his mind. He recognized the Floor Masters from the arena's promotions, and now he identified them immediately.

"But they don't seem quite right!"

The deep blue-black in the Floor Masters' eyes sent a chill through Leorio.

"What on earth happened? Why are the Floor Masters attacking me?!"

Having been in the sewers, Leorio was completely unaware of the events on the surface, leaving him utterly confused.

"What a disappointment. I thought it was someone formidable, but it's just a beginner who barely knows Nen," yawned Gaki from behind the infected Floor Masters.

"Getting tossed into the sewers, what a useless fool."

After assessing Leorio's strength, Gaki lost interest and commanded the infected Floor Masters, who had defeated the arena's guards, to attack Leorio. He had no desire to engage further.

"What's going on with Shura? Why hasn't the signal been restored?" Gaki frowned, tapping his earpiece, having not heard from Shura in quite some time.

Just then...

Dust and dirt began to fall from the ceiling above.

"Hmm?" Gaki instinctively looked up.

Boom!

A deafening explosion shattered the ceiling!

Two figures, one silver-white and the other green, descended from above.

"Thunderbolt!"

"Scissors, Paper, Rock!!"

Flashing lightning and a powerful fist intertwined with a golden hue descended with immense force!

"Two brats?!"

Initially startled by the powerful display, Gaki's pupils contracted slightly. But upon recognizing the newcomers, a vicious smile spread across his face.

"Earlier, a brat at the arena gave me a bit of a thrill."

"Let's see what you two newcomers are made of!"

With malevolent energy swirling around him, Gaki charged towards Gon and Killua.

Meanwhile, Leorio noticed the change in the situation. However, he was too overwhelmed to divert his attention. Facing the onslaught from the Floor Masters, he was on the verge of collapse, struggling to hold on.

After all, even if these Floor Masters were subpar, they were still seasoned fighters who had survived ten battles in Heaven's Arena. In terms of strength, they were far beyond what Leorio, a novice in Nen, could handle. Moreover, with their enhanced strength due to the malevolent energy, they were even more formidable!

Leorio's ability to hold out this long was already commendable.

And just as he was about to be overwhelmed...
