Chapter 348 - 348
Chapter 348 - 348
The entire city's atmosphere was exceptionally enchanting, as if a joyful aura permeated throughout. For those players eager to date and chat up girls, this place was nothing short of paradise.
"Glasses? Glasses?"
A city beauty, highly nearsighted, dropped her glasses on the ground and had to bend over to search for them, revealing quite a scenic view. Then, there was the lively little firecracker who accidentally bumped into you at a corner, flashing her small canine teeth as she warned you to watch where you're going.
There were also the so-called trio of urban scammers blocking the alleyway, plotting something nefarious, including a tall, graceful model-like lady. You could say this city was filled with such clichéd encounters.
Getting involved with these beauties was simple too—help the girl pick up her glasses, argue with the fiery girl to get to know her, or become a hero by saving a damsel in distress to win her heart...
"If Shalnark were here, he would definitely make a huge profit like a fish in water."
At a table outside a love-themed restaurant, Feitan watched these scenes unfold with a calm heart. To him, these so-called beauties were nothing but skeletons wrapped in pink flesh, devoid of any allure. Rather than getting involved with these women, he found collecting cards far more interesting.
"Haha, you're right. Who knows where that guy is flirting with someone now?" Phinks clapped his hands, teasing. "If he knew such a place existed in this game, he would definitely rush over here. I'd love to see what happens when Shalnark arrives."
Phinks was somewhat expectant.
"Boring?" Feitan spat out the word again.
"Speaking of which, our card collection progress has slowed considerably," Phinks redirected the topic back to card collection. "We've collected eighty-five cards so far, but no matter how hard we try, we can't seem to get the rest. Is someone using 'Copy' to monopolize cards with limited numbers?"
Feitan replied calmly, "Some cards might require certain numbers, or specific conditions like gender, to trigger the acquisition task."
Phinks grinned, "So, does that mean we can only collect these cards?"
"Perhaps it's about time," Feitan put away the book he'd been reading. "Let's find those examinees monopolizing the cards one by one."
"Are we starting a hunt again?" Phinks's face showed a cruel smile. "I like it~!"
"So who's our first target? Is it Tsezguerra or the Bomberman group led by Genthru?"
"Well..." Feitan was about to respond when his card collection book suddenly rang. Someone was initiating communication with them.
"Gon?!"
Feitan couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the name displayed.
"So, these are the people you want to collaborate with?" Killua's eyes twitched as he looked at Gon.
"Their danger level is above Genthru and Tsezguerra!"
"But they came to this game with us," Gon scratched his head. "And we get along well. They're not bad people."
Killua: "..."
Only Gon could say something like Feitan and Phinks aren't bad people. However, to them, Feitan and Phinks indeed posed no threat. More importantly, both were members of the Phantom Troupe, like Morin. Biscuit Krueger was Morin's mentor. With such a connection, they probably wouldn't take any dangerous actions against them. Besides, among the players still in the game, there really weren't any better options than them. Killua could only accept this reality reluctantly.
Biscuit Krueger was indifferent, having seen Phantom Troupe members before. To her, they were just juniors, and in terms of strength, none could match her. The only one with reservations was Goreinu. Hearing that Gon wanted to collaborate with the notoriously deadly Feitan and Phinks, he almost left immediately.
But thinking it over, without Phinks and Feitan's help, they might not even get eight wins from Razor. Seeing Gon confident, and Killua and Biscuit Krueger having no objections, Goreinu reluctantly agreed. After all, if three kids had no problem with it, how could he, an adult, back down?
As they chatted, suddenly, a blue and white beam of light descended from the sky. It wasn't Feitan and Phinks; it was the help Killua had found.
"Yo, you guys got here first!" Killua greeted Milluki and Kalluto with one hand in his pocket.
"Yo, what?!" Milluki retorted irritably. "I'm your brother, not some subordinate you can summon and dismiss at will!"
---
Mentioning this, Milluki felt quite frustrated. Despite not getting along with Killua, whether he came here or not didn't really matter. However, Kalluto was determined to help Killua, and as soon as Killua asked, Kalluto was eager to come immediately. What really pained Milluki was that Kalluto wouldn't face Killua directly but instead pushed him to the front to deal with Killua.
So, with Kalluto behind him, Milluki had no choice but to agree, even if he didn't want to.
"Yeah, I know." Killua nodded casually.
"You don't take this seriously at all!" Milluki wanted to complain to Killua again, but knowing Killua's personality, saying more wouldn't change anything. Frustrated, he pulled out his card collection book and tossed two cards toward Killua.
"These are made from some rare materials on the island and some external materials. See if they meet your previous requirements."
"They're done already?!" Killua's eyes lit up instantly. After using the cards, two silver-white yo-yos appeared in his hand.
"So heavy!!" As soon as he held the yo-yos, Killua felt their hefty weight, almost dropping them. But feeling the weight, Killua's eyes sparkled even more.
"This is exactly the yo-yo I wanted!!" Killua was very satisfied with Milluki's craftsmanship. "Thanks, Milluki!!"
"You brat, still not calling me brother!" Milluki wrinkled his nose, expressing his dissatisfaction with a humph. When they were at Antokiba, Killua had asked him to craft a pair of ultra-heavy, incredibly sturdy yo-yos. Now that Killua had them, he still didn't call him brother. Well, at least this time he said thank you, which was an improvement from before.
"They're both my family. The chubby one is a few years older than me, and the other is my younger brother, the youngest in my family," Killua introduced to Gon and Biscuit Krueger after putting away the yo-yos.
"So they're Killua's brother and younger brother!!" Gon was encountering other direct members of the Zoldyck family besides Illumi for the first time. "Hello, I'm Gon Freecss, Killua's friend!"
Hmm, these two felt much better than Illumi's overall eerie vibe. However, Gon couldn't shake the feeling that Killua's younger brother was looking at him strangely... And, with that outfit, is he really just a younger brother?!
"He's the one who took Killua away from home..." Kalluto's gaze towards Gon was naturally not normal. It was subtle, but if it weren't for Gon's incredible perception, he might not have noticed anything amiss. Kalluto's goal was always to bring Killua back home, and the culprit who took Killua away was none other than Gon!
Now, seeing his enemy in person made Kalluto's eyes burn with anger. If it weren't for the many people around, the seemingly strong companions by Gon's side, and his brother's likely intervention and subsequent suspicion and dissatisfaction, Kalluto would have already thrown paper knives to slice Gon into pieces.
"Once this matter is over, I'll find the right opportunity to deal with this spiky-haired guy properly."
"Friends? As Mom said, Killua doesn't need friends!!" Kalluto's gaze gradually hid away. "This rare chance to act alongside Killua can't be wasted!!" Thinking about soon playing games and competing with Killua filled Kalluto's heart with an indescribable joy and pleasure.
Hmm, among the Zoldyck family, aside from Milluki, this generation really isn't quite normal...
"He's Milluki, and my brother is Kalluto," Killua introduced to Gon. Then he introduced Biscuit Krueger and the others to Milluki and Kalluto. The two sides thus got acquainted.
Suddenly, another blue-white beam of light descended from the sky. Boom!! As the light dissipated upon touching the ground, two figures emerged.
"Long time no see." Phinks, wearing a tracksuit he probably snatched from somewhere, was the first to step out. After scanning the crowd and assessing the situation, he looked at Gon and Killua, giving a sly smile. Feitan followed beside him, hands in pockets, expressionlessly observing the people around.
