25. Escape Plan
Bai Wei: "I'm glad you have that mindset. Come to my office tomorrow and I'll register you."
Although she didn't know what scheme Modu was plotting, Bai Wei decided she had to guide Meng Lian properly, lest she end up like that bunch of clowns in the Illusion Academy who constantly caused outrageous incidents.
Lian: "Thank you, Teacher."
Meng Lian put down her phone and breathed a sigh of relief.
Being elected Class Monitor was just the first step toward joining the Student Council, but it was far from enough. She needed to prepare even more thoroughly.
Modu had said that Student Council recruitment was in one month. She had to successfully enter the Student Council after this recruitment round.
After all, if she didn't get in after a month, who knew whether Chen Li would still be alive by the next recruitment? The witches might have dealt with her by then.

Modu replied almost instantly.

She picked up the bead containing the Levitation Scissors and examined it carefully under the light.
Perfect. This would be much easier to smuggle in.
Meng Lian wanted to hide the bead in her mouth, but stopped just before putting it in.
No. If she hid it in her mouth, wouldn't she give herself away the moment she spoke?
