Chapter 26: Still &Heavy
Chapter 26: Still &Heavy
Quash went outside and just roamed around and ate a lot. For the past two months, the amount of food he needs have increased.
Very strongly.
So he tasted many types of dishes, fruits and deserts until he was full. His food requirements increased because of his increasing Stats. They need more energy to keep his body functioning. Normally, the increase in apatite is moderate because Aura subtle reinforces the cells with enery, but because of the massive gap between his Physical Stats and Energy Stats, the Aura’s passive reinforcement isn’t enough.
But regardless of that, he noticed that there was nothing like the martial arts novels described. He was supposed to be a walking attention black hole after the Impurity Expulsion, but there were barely any changes. He knew he had certainly become more good looking, but it looks like martial arts novels truly were a lier.
With a heavy heart, Quash went home that day.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)(; ͡° ʖ̯ ͡°)
7 days have passed since he had expelled all the impurities from his body.

Through out the 7 days, he had nothing to do since his Physical Stats have hit Class Limit. He could have trained Flowing Water Footwork Technique and pushed it to Master Proficiency. But he felt that it was enough. He wasn’t that obsessive to train when there us no clear improvement and keep feeding himself delusional thoughts of improvement is on the horizon like most optimistic protagonists out there.
What he did instead was, cultivate his Aura. He would roam around the city and circulate his Pure Aura to collect the Natural Energy in the air like pokemons. 5 Pure Aura Stats in a week. A testimonial of the scarcity of Natural Energy around this city. Even though it increased a bit after Lighting Rain because the rain was wrapped around in Natural Energy, it got dispersed in the atmosphere and increased just a little bit.
His tour around wasn’t all that bad because he got familiar with the city was born in but never left. It was a massive city with large population.
After the impurities were Purified, there were no more ticklish sensation when he circulated Natural Energy to raise his Pure Aura Stats.
Quash wasn’t that worried though, he will get plenty of chances to raise his Pure Aura Stats.
He also doesn’t always keep his Aura Charged, which is now Pure Aura Charged state on.
Why?
For no reason other then the fact that he just wants his brain to be free.
All in all, Quash throughly enjoyed the past 7 days. Today as well, he woke up, washed up, cooked himself a meal before getting ready.
But today was a bit different. Because today is the day when he will start his journey to Academy City. He couldn’t help but feel excitement bubbling under his chest. He had only read about the Academy City in the novel. And the TV can cover so much. And it definitely won’t be better than to experience it himself.
So, today, Quash was preparing to leave his house alone for the up coming three years. He ha already put white clothes to cover all the furnishings of his house. Only his ded was remaining. He covered it up then checked if everything was OK for the last time. He locked everything before turning of the main power line to make sure some short circuit didn’t happen.
After he was done with everything, he locked the main door and walked backwards while looking at the house he grew up. A melancholic feeling spread through his heart. His smile became a bit bitter.
He really wished his parents and grandparents would have been here to say goodbye to him. Quash just chuckled at the unrealistic thought. He shook his head, turned around and walked away.
He took a cab to the airport. Along the way, the heavy mood didn’t seem like it would leave anytime soon. So to clear his mood, he watched some random videos to distract himself. He didn’t dare to remember the happy memories because it brought more pain instead of lessing them.
Another thing novels lied about. Quash couldn’t help but spite the authors for doing such a thing.
Quash reached the airport after a 25 minutes ride. The ship leaves at the evening. 4 P.M sharp. Right now, it was 2 P.M. yesterday, Alan had suddenly contacted him out of nowhere saying he should arrive early. They will meet, chat and compare who has improved the most.
Alan seemed pretty exited. Quash had no reason to refuse. So he agreed. The meeting time was 3 P.M. He arrived even earlier. Because staying in that house felt like something was pressing down on his cheat heavily.
Today was the first time in almost two months that he noticed his parents absence so much. Even when they were overseas, he still could talk to them.
"Sigh~."
Seeing that his mood was circling back to the topic he didn’t want to think about, he sighed to clear his thoughts. He paid the driver and stood in front of the airport for a moment to be affected by by clamours atmosphere of a bustling place.
People were going in and out of a big building with glass doors. Announcements constantly ringing out. The sound sof ships taking of and some landing made the atmosphere very lively which lifted Quash’s mood considerably.
Quash walked up to the security and showed his passport and ticket. They checked the ticket and told him that he can ask a staff member to lead him to the VIP ship.
He nodded and went inside but he didn’t ask anyone for directions. Instead, he decided to make a tour around the airport and find that ship himself since ye has plenty of time.
