20 days have swiftly passed without anyone noticing until it was in front of them. These 20 days has been full of grind and hardships for everyone.
Through these 20 days, the people that came over to join the training had increased exponentially. So much so that it won’t be wrong to say that everyone in the park jad trained together in unison. Once again making it to the local news. Quash had used his Elite Citizenship authority to make sure no news channels every published anything about him.
The reason for such change in mind set of group leader was because they realised that he wasn’t playing some 5D social political games with them. It took them a while and they are a fool o of themselves because they missed a lot of grinding. The first one to give in was a leader of a small group, and one after another, almost everyone joined!
Quash was ecstatic and spared with everyone. He had increased his number of opponents to 20. It has been a massive help. Although he would get beaten up most of the times even when he saw their attacks coming, the sheer number made them difficult for him to dodge.
Their attacks didn’t hurt. They were like push to him now. With his Endurance, if he got hurt, from normal punches of people with lower stats than him, then he should just drown himself in a cup of water out of shame.
But he did gain significant benefits. First was that, he learned that he could actually train his Proprioception and won’t have to rely on Impurity Expulsion which will run out soon.
How?
When he was getting swarmed and beaten buy 20 angry and jealous group leaders, he had his Daddy Gojo build up because having two types of sight is a bit jarring during fights. But even then, the outlines weren’t perfect nor detailed. He gets confused because of that. And when he tried to focus on his immediate surroundings, the dome shrunk and the details became more apparent, more defined and noticeable.
The discovery was like the final nail in the coffin. From then on, no one managed to land a hit on him.
Aside from him, the gym bros also felt massive pressure on them. Forcing them to work harder to keep up where many geniuses of the city have gathered.
The gym bros have experienced massive leap in their stats because of that. Their stats caught up in the average stats of the world. Their circulation training was also going very well. The newcomer that defected first can do a sub 10 Grand Circle. While most of the veteran gym bros are ranging from sub 30 to sub 60 seconds.
Their circulation speed was at a level where they could be considered geniuses. Their Aura reserves grew exponentially. But no one managed to move even an inch. Even the genuinely genius of the Grundleas city.
All this while, Alan and Elina were no were to he seen. Despite the park atmosphere making its way into the local news.
Alan probably doesn’t care because his stats are nearing the Class Limit by now. Elina is probably training with her grandparents in the country side. Her parents had mediocre talent but her talent was out of the world.
The same is for Alan, his parents are normal but his talent is something else. Quash really doesn’t care what they do through out all the hard-core training and sparing. They will meet before going to the the Academy City anyway. Every year, the local government arranges to send Top 5 most talented individuals of the city to have a free ride to the Academy City.
Quash was one of them. Of course, Alan and Elina was among them as well. He didn’t really need it because even without the city’s support, he could go to the Academy City without making so much so a dent on his assets.
But it may take everything from a middle class family to send their children there, from here because of the sheer distance and matter of safety.
The gym bros and other groups have already left. They were going to take ground transport to reach the nearest air port to save some money in exchange of time. While the ride arranged by the city will arrive a week before the entrance exam to take them away.
The Grundleas city wasn’t the only city that does it. Other near by city does it as well. They all hire one first class ship and distribute the expenses among them to make it fare and that allows their cities geniuses to get to the Academy City within a short time, the day before the entrance exams.
In short, he and the Gym bros will reach Academy City in the same day even though they have left 15 days prior.
Today was a rare day off. Not because he wanted to rest but he was forced to stop. Because it was raining out side.
People can train in rain right? Quash wasn’t worried about getting suck right?
Wrong.
The rain that was going on outside was the danger. A city wide announcement was made to make sure everyone stays indoors. The rain is called Lighting Rain. From its base, it is apparent that the water has some thing to fo with Lighting. Which is correct.
It is one of the normal occurance of this world when the rain clouds forms in the sky, and Natural Energy just so happens to be very dense in that area, the water drops in the clouds gets wrapped around by the Natural Energy. Creating a soft barrier that trapps discharged electrons. So instead of normal thunder storm, we get a Lighting Rain storm.
The Lighting in the water droplets isn’t even that powerful. People stays fine even when they touch it. But the problem starts when a person gets hit by many water droplets at once. It can cause paralysis. And prolonged exposure to lead to brain dead state or straight up dead.
Quash was locking at the rain water that looked extra colourful because of the Natural Energy coating and Lighting trapped inside it, and he sighed.
He lazily pulled up his status window to view his progress. He was a bit upset because he was sure that with a few more days of training, he could completely element all the impurities from his body, but the world seemed to make him wait from experiencing Pure Dopamine.
