"The one next to him who looks almost identical is Senior Hala's grandson, named Hau," Kukui said with a laugh, arms crossed. "He's also a challenger in the Battle Royal festival."

A Pokémon with black and yellow stripes, arm-like gauntlets, and a hairstyle resembling a mohawk hovered above the suspension bridge, gazing at the town.

Lu Ye and Kahuna Hala stood on opposite sides of the wooden stage, nodding in acknowledgment.

"I've been a Trainer for decades," Hala said with a laugh. "To be able to learn from a legend in my twilight years is truly fortunate."

"To be honest with you," Lu Ye said seriously, "My main goal is to get Tapu Koko to appear so I can discuss some matters with it."

"Oh?" A sharp glint flashed in Hala's eyes as he grinned. "In that case, let's use battle to capture the island deity's attention!"

Hala threw a Poké Ball.

"Go, Crabrawler!"

Lu Ye decided to train the younger members of his team during his time in Alola and threw a Dark Ball:
