After arriving in a fantastical otherworld, Gauss receives an Adventurer’s Manual — a magical book that lets him grow stronger the more monsters he kills and records. At first, he thought he was destined for a traditional heroic path: slaying dragons, defeating demons, and saving kingdoms.

But reality had other plans.

Instead of epic battles, he finds himself swamped by goblins — endlessly multiplying like pests, impossible to fully wipe out. As the goblin kill count in his Monster Encyclopedia skyrockets and the rewards keep rolling in, Gauss can only watch with growing helplessness.
