Chapter 461 - 266: Illusory Moon Bell
Chapter 461 - 266: Illusory Moon Bell
The giant snakes converging ahead were growing in number, seemingly attracted by something, marching in one direction. The Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon and Xiaojin’s group were drawn to the strange behavior of the snakes and this aroma, rising into the sky.
Before their eyes, countless giant snakes gathered from all sides towards one place. The snakes varied in form: some were as thick as barrels, some as slender as vines, others were brightly colored and carried venom... They shared a common trait: blood-red eyes, eagerly converging toward one place as if vying for some treasure, disregarding any hierarchy and ignoring the existence of the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon and Xiaojin.
"Let’s go over and take a look!"
The Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon felt a rush of heat over its body and suggested to Xiaojin and the Long-armed Ape.
Soon, an incredible scene came into view.
A myriad of snakes gathered in a massive deep cave, encircling a mystical Spirit Flower at the center of the Spirit Cave. It was fully pale red, its form illusory as though composed of countless Spirit Lights converging together, nine petals, with a pearl-like luminous and bright flower core. The whole Spirit Flower exuded a pink Spirit Mist, attracting countless giant snakes to gather.
The Spirit Flower seemed to possess endless vitality, emitting a faint pink Spirit Mist spreading out, driving those giant snakes to obsession, spiraling around the serpent’s cave. Their front halves stood erect, tongues continuously flicking in and absorbing the Mist; their bodies incessantly twisting as if conducting some mysterious ritual with a filthy, sweltering aura.
The ritual hadn’t been going on for long when the serpents entwined in pairs, thousands of snakes coiling together, an impressive spectacle!
Xiaojin and Xiaowa were dumbfounded at the scene.
However, at that moment, the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon suddenly went berserk, directly charging toward the Spirit Flower.
The reveling snakes were interrupted by this change, collectively driven frantic, exposing long fangs as they charged fiercely toward the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon, fearless and ferocious!
"Wow! Nearly a hundred Tier Six giant snakes, such a huge serpent group, we’re in trouble! I must tell the master!"
Xiaojin, Xiaowa, and the Jade-Eyed Long-armed Ape, without a choice, were drawn into the battle, unleashing their Lifebound Spiritual Treasures to aid the Two-Horned Cyan Moon Flood Dragon in slaughtering the serpent horde.
...
On a different note.
Spring comes and goes, autumn follows, time flies.
The towering ancient trees in Yin Yang Valley began to turn yellow; a breeze blew past, causing the leaves to fall like snowflakes. However, a large Protective Array was arranged inside the valley, swirling up a cyclone that kept the leaves outside, unable to enter the core region of Linggu.
The core area of Linggu, gathering Spiritual Qi from the entire valley, housed a square courtyard. Not far from the yard, a vast Spirit Field was cultivated, presenting a different scene under the Yin Yang Primordial Array.
Yin Yang Qi manifested in a vivid red and a gray silver color, remarkably magical. Tender purple Reishi seedlings and Yin Soul Fruit seedlings shrouded in Yin Mist grew excellently, nurtured by the Purple Sun Jade, Supreme Profound Moon Dew, and Yin Yang Qi together.
In the yard, the stone table in the pavilion was full of Spiritual Cuisine: stewed Spirit Chicken, steamed Spirit Mushroom, stir-fried Spirit Deer Meat... with five dishes and one soup, and a large pot of Spirit Rice, its aroma wafting, tantalizing the taste buds.
"My lord, why did you find the time to cook today? It smells so good!" Xue’Er excitedly sniffed the aroma and asked, looking at Li Mu.
"Sit down and eat! Once we’re done, I need to discuss something with you!" Li Mu smiled and gestured.
"Speak first, then I’ll see if I want to eat!" A cunning glint flashed in Xue’Er’s eyes; refusing to fall for Li Mu’s trick, she said with a playful smile.
Li Mu glanced at Xue’Er, expressionless, served himself a bowl of Spirit Rice, and started eating on his own, ignoring her.
Watching Li Mu repeatedly pick up tender meat slices and eat, as the dishes dwindled, Xue’Er licked her lips and grew anxious.
"Fine! Fine! I’ll eat! But I haven’t promised you anything!" Xue’Er muttered, looking at Li Mu in acknowledgment.
Having said that, Xue’Er plopped down at the stone table, grabbed bowl and chopsticks, and rapidly joined in the meat scramble.
Li Mu shot her a disgruntled look. Not promising? Dare you eat?
After a while, the two devoured like "Wind Rolls up the Remnants of Clouds," leaving only a pile of leftovers of the delicious Spiritual Cuisine.
"Lord Li, what did you want to discuss with me?" Xue’Er burped, looked at Li Mu, and asked with concern.
"Your third uncle should be arriving soon. You need to guard Linggu; I’ll be going out for a while but will be back in a few days!" Li Mu instructed, looking at Xue’Er.
"Excuses, definitely excuses. My third uncle doesn’t even know when to come; can’t you take me along?" Hearing this, Xue’Er immediately got anxious, grabbing Li Mu’s arm.
Anticipating Xue’Er’s reaction, Li Mu smiled, reassuring her: "Staying in Linggu allows you to possibly greet your third uncle should he visit, or receive other elders who may need your presence. Also, I’ve just refined a Spirit Treasure for you; you’ll need to stay inside the valley these days to properly refine and adapt to controlling it."
Upon Li Mu’s words, he waved his hand, summoning a bell, and a moment later, the bell’s Artifact Spirit transformed into a small crimson fox the size of a palm, its black sparkling eyes scanning around as if searching for an opportunity to escape.
Venerable Jin Ling, Xue’Er’s mother, with concern for her daughter, left Li Mu a vast amount of Tier Six Refining Spiritual Materials before departing, some of excellent quality, entrusting him to refine a suitable Lifebound Spiritual Treasure for her daughter.
Among those Tier Six Spiritual Materials that contained Time Dao Principle and Divine Illusion Dao Principle, Li Mu initially wasn’t confident in refining them.
