She said softly.

From the untouched part of her face, she was originally a very beautiful maiden.

"This corruption seems to counteract my power; it carries a dense aura of death."

"To prevent the corrosion from spreading further, I have to use most of my power to suppress it, using a manifested form to check on my own condition."

"Captain Rogel, I hope you can help me clear the corruption beneath my roots."

The Tree of Life said.

It did not explain why it was tainted, seemingly unwilling to discuss the matter.

However, Rogel wasn’t overly concerned about this.

He pondered for a moment, "What should I do?"

Regardless of what the Tree of Life said about helping him bolster his strength,

just from his feelings toward Giant Tree Island, he was willing to lend a hand.

Upon hearing Rogel’s words, the Tree of Life paused momentarily, "Captain Rogel, although I believe in prophecy, I must tell you that this is an extremely dangerous task with a very low chance of success."

Rogel was taken aback for a moment, then came to understand.

It seems the Tree of Life had seen something in a prophecy, knowing he could resolve its problem.

"If I can be of help, I naturally won’t shirk it, but I want to know what exactly I need to do."

Rogel said.

Having the ability to save and load his progress, he wasn’t afraid of anything.

But he wouldn’t agree to anything easily, for some things couldn’t be accomplished even with saving and loading.

"Once found, I have a way to eliminate it."

Rogel pondered; no wonder the Tree of Life said it’s a task with very low chances.

What the Tree of Life needed him to do was to chart a correct route.

Understandable.

"I understand, I can give it a try." Rogel said.

Rogel nodded.

"I won’t trouble you with the potion; I can craft it myself."

"However, I need a suitable location for the ascension; I wonder if you could find it for me."

Honestly, he didn’t expect the Tree of Life could craft potions.

But he figured he’d make it himself, as it’s something he’d consume.

"Besides, I hope you can find a few people for me..."

"Of course."

The Tree of Life nodded slightly.

Rogel then informed the Tree about the specific locations Captain Calamity needed.
