I Faked My Death—Now I Have to Tame the Crazy Men I Left Behind

Chapter 141 - 139: Baby, It Really Hurts

Chapter 141 - 139: Baby, It Really Hurts

The heat on her lips was scorching, threatening to spread like wildfire.

The young man wasn’t satisfied with a superficial clash of lips. His hand moved from her arm to clamp down on her chin.

He applied a little pressure.

It made her brow furrow slightly, her tightly clenched teeth parting.

The young man chuckled indistinctly and lowered his head to kiss her again.

He kissed her deeply.

The air between them thinned, oxygen growing scarce.

She patted his shoulder. He seemed to notice and pulled back a little.

Mia Grant gasped for air, but still managed to glare up at him, her clear eyes rimmed with red with indignation. "Ian Sinclair!"

"Yeah?" The puppy tilted his head nonchalantly, his eyes dark, bright, and flashing with excitement.

It was as if he hadn’t heard the fire in her voice.

Seeing his still-unsatisfied expression, Mia pounded his shoulder in frustration. "Have you no shame! Felix..."

Her voice stopped abruptly, the name swallowed back down.

"No!"

She shoved him, her ears so red they looked ready to bleed.

Felix was still there. Sitting just a step away.

’Just the thought of it makes my skin crawl.’

Only a dim, yellow floor lamp was on in the entryway. Distracted, Mia’s eyes fluttered open as she glanced guiltily at the figure on the low stool.

The young man didn’t seem to notice their commotion, sitting there quietly with his back ramrod straight.

Unfortunately, the light was too dim for Mia to be sure where his gaze was fixed.

But she was also relieved. ’Thankfully, the light is dim, so he probably can’t see what we’re doing...’

Pinned against the door, Mia had no way to retreat.

The puppy, growing dissatisfied with just the heat of their mouths, looked down at her, breathless. His tone was half-pout, half-coax.

"It hurts... It really hurts. Let’s go to my place, okay?"

Mia looked dazed for a second, not understanding. "What hurts? Where? Are you injured?"

Her breathing was unsteady and her voice trembled, but upon hearing his words, her first instinct was to worry about him, her expression turning anxious.

Seeing her like this, the puppy ground his teeth, only feeling the ache somewhere else intensify.

"Say something! Did you bump into something?"

Mia’s hands started fumbling over his shoulders. "Turn on the light, let me see..."

Before she could finish, her hand was caught by a warm palm.

The puppy rubbed her hand, guiding it toward a brand new, uncharted territory.

Mia didn’t realize what was happening.

Not until the puppy lowered his head, unable to bear it any longer.

He pressed his forehead against her shoulder, his chest heaving.

Mia’s pupils dilated.

She tried to pull away, but the puppy pleaded, "No, baby, please... it really hurts..."

"Baby~"

He called out to her, again and again.

He wasn’t lying.

It really did hurt.

Just from kissing, he couldn’t control...

Every bone in his body seemed to ache with the strain.

Mia sucked in a breath, her embarrassed gaze darting everywhere but down.

’I’ve never done this before.’

Her mind was a complete mess.

Suddenly, her flitting gaze met a pair of deep, dark eyes in the shadows.

Mia’s breath caught. She clenched her fist unconsciously.

Beside her ear, she heard the puppy let out a muffled groan.

It was like...

By the time she processed it, the puppy was lifting his dazed eyes to her, asking with a mix of shame and pride, "Don’t be mad. I didn’t do it on purpose. I’ll wash it for you... You just suddenly..."

"What’s wrong?" Meeting her gaze, Ian was confused, then followed her line of sight.

He raised an eyebrow.

’I almost forgot about Felix.’

The young man sat on the low stool, seemingly asleep.

Mia snapped out of her daze and shoved him away.

"Get your brother to his bedroom! I... I’m leaving!"

"Don’t go. The dorms are already locked for the night."

"You can stay at my place for the night."

"No!" Mia glared at him. "I’m telling you, Ian Sinclair, don’t talk to me for the next three days!"

"..." The puppy blinked, taken aback. "Why?"

Mia stared at him for a few seconds, and as if unable to swallow her indignation, she lunged at him, kicking and hitting.

The puppy yelped a few times, protecting his head without fighting back. "Not the face! I have a match tomorrow! If anyone sees, what am I supposed to say? That I got beat up by my sister-in-law?"

"..." Mia choked, then landed another punch. "That’s for your smart mouth!"

"Am I not telling the truth?"

"Hit me softer~"

"Why are you so mad? Didn’t I say I’d wash you up? I’ll take you to wash up right now..."

"Go wash your own damn self!"

"Oh, are you afraid he’ll see?"

"Nah, he won’t. He’s drunk, what’s he going to remember? He got drunk at home once before, and he’d completely blacked out by the next morning. Don’t worry."

"..." Compared to his words, Mia was more inclined to trust what she had seen with her own eyes.

’Felix most likely doesn’t black out when he drinks...’

’And that glance he gave me just now... it seemed normal, but something about it felt... strange.’

After getting thoroughly beaten up, Ian, whimpering in pain, dutifully helped Felix into the bedroom.

Probably out of guilt, he was a good little brother for once.

He took off Felix’s jacket and shoes, went to the bathroom for a towel to wipe his face and hands, then tossed the blanket over him and dusted off his hands, done with the job.

He didn’t utter a single complaint the entire time.

In the guest bathroom, Mia stared at her palm for a long time before, unable to look at it any longer, she thrust it under the running water.

She only came out after washing it over a dozen times.

She walked to the living room and sat down. After a short wait, she heard Ian come out.

"Is he... asleep?" Mia turned, staring at him for a few seconds before asking in a low voice.

All the lights in the living room had been turned on, dispelling some of the hazy, intimate atmosphere.

Ian grunted in affirmation. "You really not coming to my place? His bed isn’t as soft as mine."

Mia grabbed a throw pillow and hurled it at him. "Get lost!"

The puppy caught it and hugged it to his chest. "He only has one bed here. Where are you going to sleep? The sofa? You won’t sleep well."

"Why not come to my..."

Mia shot him a look of utter exasperation.

The puppy’s expression turned sheepish. "Alright, fine. I apologize."

"I was wrong. I was really wrong."

"But, it was understandable, you know."

"I mean... you can’t blame me completely. It was really uncomfortable. If I didn’t take care of it, and something went wrong, then in the future..."

"Shut up!" Mia was so angry she almost laughed. She pointed at the door. "Disappear. Now."

"Oh..."

Ian tossed the pillow back.

Grabbing his jacket to leave, he realized he really did need to hurry back. He still hadn’t changed.

He was covered in sweat, which felt sticky and uncomfortable.

"I’m leaving. Call me if you need anything."

At the doorway, Ian spoke as he pulled the door open.

His foot was raised to step out, but he froze, his eyes meeting the figure outside the door.

Hearing no sound of the door closing, Mia frowned and looked toward the entrance. "Why haven’t you left yet? You..."

Ian quickly spoke up. "Mom? What are you doing here?"
