Chapter 987 520: New 'Family Member' Arrives

"What's the matter, not acclimatized to your first visit here?" Da Tianwei leaned in to Drowning Ghost's ear and asked softly.

Hearing this voice, Drowning Ghost grew increasingly anxious; compared to Yin Fenggui and Lantern Ghost, Drowning Ghost was a more seasoned Ghost Survivor. Even when scared out of his wits, he did not show a trace of it.

"It is a bit unsettling, this place is much better than where I used to live." Drowning Ghost's words were a perfect mix of excitement and unease, flawlessly performed.

Da Tianwei saw Drowning Ghost's fearless demeanor and understood he was dealing with a tricky one, clearly a veteran ghost who dared not show fear.

"Though the living conditions aren't great, it's where you grew up, so don't speak ill of it," Da Tianwei went along with the other's words, no trace of the previous aloofness from the last two times.

'I wonder what the next steps are, probably cooking meals, right?' Drowning Ghost knew full well, both previous ghosts had to cook meals, it should be the same when it's his turn.

"Alright, let's go eat first." Da Tianwei casually said after bringing Drowning Ghost into the living room.

This left Drowning Ghost stunned. What's going on? Isn't he supposed to cook the meal? How did it turn to eating?

'Too many changes, no clue if it's good or bad, hopefully the difficulty has decreased.' Drowning Ghost wasn't having a great experience,

'Cooking, eating, reading, computer, then swimming; Lantern Ghost died at the fourth progression, but now my cooking process was skipped, going straight to eating. Does it mean the remaining steps will also change?' Drowning Ghost felt some anxiety.

Outwardly he displayed nothing, just nodded obediently and sat down to eat.

During the meal, he didn't speak, adhering to the rule of not speaking while eating or sleeping to ensure his safety.

Elsewhere, talking while eating might at most earn a scolding, but here, it was truly life-threatening.

The meal finished quickly, Da Tianwei didn't clean up but instead said: "Next, you can look around the study, maybe read books, or if you don't want to, feel free to look around."
