Chapter 1011 532: Ghost Survivor’s Stronghold

Chapter 1011 532: Ghost Survivor’s Stronghold

"From the apartment to the community, then to the whole village, and now the entire city, the difficulty is increasing." Shura looked at the bubbling stew in front of him.

"We are getting closer to the core area of the All Ghosts Survival Platform."

"Next time, will we be facing an entire nation?"

Saying this, Shura rare showed signs of worry. If it weren't for the Seven-star Whip in his hand, he wouldn't have any confidence this time.

Then he glanced at Gu Shanhai, who was in a daze, and sighed. This teammate was basically sluggish in every aspect except for his aura still being effective.

Oh, he could cook, as if by instinct. Anyway, the meat was being stewed more and more fragrantly.

Even Datianwei glanced at the gloomy city outside. The gray fog looked like pollution from the early industrial era, but he knew that it was due to the long-standing border between the human world and the Ghost World causing an aberration.

Various strange Zombies wandered throughout the city, all products of experiments created by the All Ghosts Survival Platform, slowly dragging the entire city. Perhaps, in another hundred years or so, the city would sink into the Ghost World.

Their task this time was simple: within ten days, clear the entire city, make the ghosts disappear, and have the human world pull it back.

The good news was that they didn't have to deal with Ghost Survivors; the bad news was that the BOSS had already appeared and couldn't be weakened.

The BOSS was the gray fog enveloping the city, currently in slumber. Any big move they made would easily awaken this BOSS.

"I think we're most likely going to stop at this level." Datianwei sighed.

He had no Dao Heart or invincible heart; losing was losing, and he wouldn't act tough or stubborn.

Just the BOSS alone left him helpless, but Shura, with his Seven-star Whip, might have a chance to win.

Shura also saw Datianwei's intentions and shook his head: "It's impossible. This time the BOSS is more like a cluster of bacteria, spread throughout the city. I can't instant-kill it."

"If I can't kill it in one blow, and the BOSS wakes, with my current attributes, I'd be done for."

He learned this through a textual reminder.

"Even with such high attributes, you can't withstand a single hit?" Datianwei was stunned to hear this; he hadn't expected the BOSS to be this powerful.

"Level one thousand, at least level one thousand. Do you think we can win?" Shura voiced his guess.

For both of them, it was an insurmountable chasm. Just a flick of the fingers, and they'd die.

Even though their attributes were greatly enhanced by the aura and allowed for level-skipping challenges, jumping a hundred levels was impressive, but several hundred was wishful thinking.

"Wait, with such high difficulty, how could it match us, so..." Datianwei looked at Gu Shanhai.

"Yes, it's definitely *** who raised our difficulty; he might be level one thousand." Shura's expression was complex.

Though Shura didn't understand how Gu Shanhai reached such a high level, he wouldn't inquire, but he knew that as long as Gu Shanhai wasn't troubled, they should be able to clear this instance.

Unfortunately, Gu Shanhai seemed more sluggish. Otherwise, he should have immediately refuted.

"We can only say the skill transformation came at the wrong time. Reaching the fourth level, we've made enough profit." Datianwei, although in need of resources, wasn't someone masked by greed and understood when to make cuts.

"Indeed, the rewards this time are abundant, and importantly, they come in advance." Shura was satisfied with this, even though the fifth-level rewards were higher.

What use were high rewards if you couldn't get them? If they remained out of reach, it was just an illusion, and there was no need to dwell on it.

"But we still have to try hard, we just got here, and there's still ten days."

"Besides, it's not like there's no way to break through. The 'First Era' wouldn't give us an impossible task, and the human world should offer us help, or else, if purifying this city were left to us, it would be asking too much."

Shura didn't plan to give up now; they had to give it a try. Whether it was during investigation or on the way to fight the BOSS, if they died or failed because they ran out of time, he wouldn't regret it.

"By the way, you stay here to protect *** for now, don't go out, and if there are Zombies, don't fight them, as attacking might wake the BOSS." Shura reminded Datianwei.

It wasn't that Shura wanted all the credit alone, but that Datianwei was indeed less suited to investigate outside than he was.

It's not even an easy task; going out meant facing the BOSS that could wake up at any time and the city full of Zombies.

These Zombies had varying levels of awareness, and who knew what could happen.

"Alright, leave it to me; I'll try to bring him back as soon as possible." Datianwei didn't fuss. They were all players, nothing major.

In Datianwei's view, if Gu Shanhai recovered, their chances of passing this level would significantly rise.

No need to clear the entire instance, just getting a reward for reaching the fifth level would satisfy him.
