Chapter 295 : Now I'm Interested!

There were no afternoon classes. After lunch, Lin Nan and Chen Yao went back to the rental to catch up on sleep.

Having been idle at home for the past few months, although they had online classes every day, those were just online classes after all. If you wanted to slack off, there were plenty of ways to do it.

This also caused problems with their biological clocks. Lin Nan had slept less than four hours last night. After forcing herself through morning classes, she returned to the rental and flopped onto the bed, originally planning to hold up her phone and watch videos. However, within a minute, the phone slipped from her hands and smacked directly into her face.

She didn't really care though. She rubbed her nose where it hurt from the impact, put the phone by her pillow, rolled over, and her breathing quickly became more even.

Chen Yao beside her looked at the bed with half the space still empty, and his thoughts immediately became active. Without hesitation, he took off his jacket and shoes and lay directly on the bed.

The last time he slept with Lin Nan was on Lantern Festival. Although he had basically gone to the countryside to find Lin Nan every few days after that, he'd never had the opportunity to stay overnight, since if Lin Nan didn't suggest it, he felt too awkward to ask.

It had probably been two months since he'd slept in the same bed as Lin Nan. As soon as Chen Yao lay down, his heart started beating more intensely.

He lay flat on his back, glancing toward Lin Nan who had her back to him. He could faintly see the traces of a bra under Lin Nan's thin long-sleeved shirt.

Smelling the milky fragrance wafting around his nose, it was like catching a whiff of some stimulating drug. Chen Yao's body couldn't help but react.

He rolled over, carefully placing his palm on Lin Nan's waist, then bit by bit bringing his body closer to Lin Nan until he could finally hold her completely in his arms.

No good. He was just holding her a little bit, so why was his reaction so strong? That fragrance was like Viagra to him, making his body so excited he couldn't stop.

Chen Yao took a deep breath, trying to control his brain and stop those messy fantasies. The thoughts stopped, but his body wasn't cooperating at all.

It really would be better to go sleep on the sofa.

It was all Lin Nan's fault for deleting those resources he'd saved up for years.

He sighed helplessly and let go of Lin Nan, getting up to honestly go sleep on the living room sofa. He casually closed the bedroom door, but as soon as he looked up, he saw Cola's mocking gaze.

"Damn, even the cat is mocking me for being a coward." He muttered a curse and flopped onto the sofa, struggling to find a comfortable position for himself, then closed his eyes, preparing to get a good sleep.

This nap went straight from one in the afternoon until evening.

Lin Nan was woken up by the sound of running water.

She opened her eyes groggily. Having slept too long, her head ached a bit.

She looked in the direction of the water sound and discovered Chen Yao was using the toilet in the glass-partitioned bathroom. The glass provided absolutely no privacy at all, letting her see everything clearly.

Seems like it's gotten a lot bigger since middle school...

Although she had once been a man, now with a female identity, seeing this situation still made her feel inexplicably shy. Lin Nan pretended not to see and quickly rolled over to face away from Chen Yao.

But she still couldn't help reaching for her phone to check the time.

Then she was so startled she sat straight up. "Oh no, oh no, how did I sleep all the way to seven at night!"

"Shit, when did you wake up?!" Chen Yao was so startled his stream cut off.

"You woke me up." Lin Nan pretended she didn't know anything and turned back to look at him. "Why are you in the bathroom?"

"I was just going to the bathroom, you scared me." Chen Yao scratched his head and left the bathroom, complaining, "What kind of weird design is this? Why put the bathroom in the bedroom?"

"Maybe it was originally a two-bedroom apartment? The middle got partitioned off?"

Lin Nan speculated casually.

The bedroom's area was actually no different from a normal bedroom, but the living room was different, obviously much smaller than a normal living room. Lin Nan strongly suspected that adding the neighboring rental was what this place originally looked like.

Since it was already evening, the two of them went out to eat dinner. With nothing else to do, they simply walked side by side into the school, planning to take a walk.

School had just started, there was no homework from classes, and the school had no activities. They were both very bored. But when they reached the basketball court below the dorm, Chen Yao suddenly got an itch to play.

After staying home for several months, he'd never touched a basketball.

"How about I go play ball?"

"Up to you, I'll watch from the side."

Lin Nan had no interest in basketball. She followed Chen Yao into the court, found a relatively close seat and sat down, then took out her phone, preparing to watch videos.

However, Lin Nan's butt hadn't even warmed the seat when a slovenly figure came over. "Lin Nan? You really are becoming more and more of a woman, huh?"

She looked up to find it was Dong An.

"Your mouth can't spit out anything good." Lin Nan couldn't be bothered with him. She crossed her legs and continued playing on her phone.

"You weren't actually a girl all along, were you?" He leaned closer, curiously looking at Lin Nan's greatly changed figure.

Although she wore loose men's clothing with a jacket covering her, Dong An could still make out the rise and fall of Lin Nan's chest. He frowned, feeling like this was a bit too sinful.

"You can't tell me that because I called you girly, you gave up on yourself?"

"Psycho." Lin Nan and Dong An hadn't really interacted much since National Day last semester. Meeting again now, his changes seemed to Dong An like he'd become a completely different person.

Dong An originally wanted to sit beside Lin Nan, but thinking it over, he still felt Lin Nan seemed strange all over. Just then Chen Yao called him from the court, so he simply walked onto the court and left Lin Nan behind.

Lin Nan silently rolled her eyes. Although Dong An was Chen Yao's friend, she had no good feelings toward him at all.

Looking up at Chen Yao on the court who seemed a bit rusty, Lin Nan's gaze keenly noticed that on the opposite side of the court, there was a girl also looking toward Chen Yao.

That was... Dong An's sister? She seemed to have seen her last time. That girl who once wanted to date Chen Yao, big-chested and brainless!

Unfortunately, she'd forgotten her name.

Lin Nan suddenly became alert and glared at the girl. However, separated by the entire basketball court, the girl didn't notice Lin Nan at all.

After just a few minutes, that girl stood up and walked toward Chen Yao and Dong An. The three chatted and laughed for a bit, then the girl actually joined them, clumsily starting to attempt shooting baskets. Chen Yao and Dong An flanked her protectively, sometimes giving pointers, sometimes helping retrieve the ball.

And that girl was a normal person who couldn't hit anything, standing at the three-point line shooting and only occasionally touching the rim. Even so, she would still affectedly cry out happily, as if very pleased, saying something to Chen Yao.

Lin Nan's face flushed red with anger.

That woman was shameless!

Without hesitation, she stood up and walked over, saying, "...I want to play basketball too."

Chen Yao froze and turned to look at her. "I thought you didn’t care about basketball."

"Now I'm interested!"
