Chapter 924 - 923: The Boisterous Young Masters
Chapter 924 - 923: The Boisterous Young Masters
"Don’t worry, I’m on your side. Just tell me honestly!" Wei Zhongxun persistently asked. For a moment, Wei Zhongxun thought Tian Zhi wouldn’t respond, but then the sound of someone snacking on sunflower seeds suddenly came from the other side, followed by singing—probably from the TV...
At that moment, Wei Zhongxun realized the truth.
"Haha, kid, I’m on speaker. The master is right next to me, you’re doomed!"
Tian Zhi: "..."
Jerk!
Wei Zhongxun hung up the phone, then walked aside. Speakerphone? Nonexistent. He was also a supporter of Luo Yirui, this kid must have sweet-talked plenty of people into believing him, after all, Wei himself was convinced!
In a place where Beisitian couldn’t see, Wei Zhongxun secretly gave Luo Yirui an OK sign. Luo Yirui was overjoyed, making a motion to run fast on the spot, his legs churning rapidly in excitement.
Beisitian glimpsed this from the corner of her eye and sighed. Let’s leave it at that for now.
With many rivers running through Jiang City, it is a famous tourist destination. Vacationing here, enjoying a boat ride along the rivers is a very pleasant experience.
Heavenly Blessing was aware the major shareholder was visiting, so naturally, they provided exceptional service, offering the best hotel accommodations and the top-tier dining options, all crafted by their own chefs trained at the Beijing Headquarters. They even consulted the manager over there to understand Beisitian and the others’ tastes, catering precisely to their preferences.
Luo Yirui exhibited strict dining etiquette, careful not to lose face in the details, lest he be sent back.
Zhuangzhuang had his own dining bowl. Though not at the same table as the others, his dining ware was elegant and clean, clearly indicating a high status in the main family.
The person in charge at Heavenly Blessing here was named He Wenbo, who personally received Beisitian and the others and accompanied them throughout their stay.
Even though he was a big shot in Jiang City, he was still working for someone else. Now that the boss was here, how could he not be there all the time?
"How much do you know about Elder Jiang?" Beisitian asked.
He Wenbo promptly replied, "When Elder Jiang first came, we didn’t know his identity. They maintained a low profile. Later, Boss Ma came by to inquire, and that’s when we started tracking some of Elder Jiang’s traces."
Jiang Mingzhong and Jiang Xin were staying at Heavenly Blessing Hotel, which isn’t a chain, but it has branches in nearly every major city. There are mostly four-star hotels; in bigger cities with more investment and amicable government relations, they’re five-star.
The one in Jiang City is a five-star hotel.
At the time, the two of them occupied one room, a standard room which sees many such guests every day—utterly ordinary. Consequently, He Wenbo paid them no special attention.
"Elder Jiang and Mr. Jiang stayed here for five days. For the first two days, they left in the morning, returning by evening. On the third day, a bald woman came asking to see them. The front desk called the room, and with their permission, she went up, stayed for about two hours, and then left. After she departed, Elder Jiang left in the early hours of the next morning," He Wenbo explained.
All this was uncovered by reviewing footage.
"Did that bald woman register?" Beisitian asked.
He Wenbo shook his head, "She didn’t open a room, so no registration."
Beisitian already knew this. She asked about other things, but He Wenbo knew little. After all, if Hawkeye couldn’t find something out, He Wenbo as a regional director certainly wouldn’t know.
Then, a commotion arose in the downstairs lobby.
Beisitian and her companions were seated in the second floor’s VIP lounge area, beside a glass railing through which the first floor was visible. They were located at the back of the lobby, near an artificial mountain and waterfall—a perfect spot for afternoon tea and idle chatter.
The noise came from the lobby; Beisitian and the others could only hear it, not see anything.
"Where is Mr. He? Get your Mr. He out here, stop hiding!" A voice rang out in the lobby.
"What’s the deal with Mr. He avoiding us? We came to bring business, not cause trouble!"
The female front desk attendant looked troubled, despite the fact that the men in front of her were exceedingly handsome. She couldn’t offend anyone here; they were all people of stature!
She wondered why their boss got involved with these people.
"Mr. He?" Wei Zhongxun muttered, glancing at He Wenbo.
He Wenbo rubbed his forehead, clearly distressed. "Yes, that’s me..."
"Aren’t you going to check it out?" Wei Zhongxun asked.
He Wenbo was visibly apathetic; he really didn’t want to go. Usually, he avoided these Crown Prince Faction members, but today, with the major shareholders present, how could he hide...
"Yes, I’ll go have a look, you both rest here," He Wenbo said, standing up and heading downstairs.
Beisitian put down her teacup, "Let’s go take a look, too."
Wei Zhongxun and Luo Yirui had been waiting for this line; they immediately stood up, and Zhuangzhuang wagged his tail, following behind.
The notice at the entrance disallowing pets was taken down when they arrived, only to be put back up after Zhuangzhuang left!
No choice—it’s the boss’s dog, which isn’t just any dog...
Beisitian’s group didn’t head downstairs, but instead walked around the glass railing to stop at the front hall, observing the lobby below from a commanding height where three young men were speaking to the front desk attendant.
Despite their raised voices, the three of them weren’t shouting. Judging by their attire, they were meticulous people dressed in designer brands—all dressed in gear worth not less than tens of thousands.
"Mr. He finally graces us with his presence. What, no meeting today?" asked the young man in a black suit.
This young man’s hair was neatly styled; his black suit was open, and the top two buttons of his white shirt were undone, hands in his trouser pockets, emitting an aura of nobility and recklessness.
The two young men beside him weren’t wearing suits, but were also clad in designer brands, looking extremely handsome, drawing the attention of many females nearby, even the female front desk attendant. As He Wenbo came out, she looked at the three of them with starry eyes.
No choice. These three were just too handsome!
On the second floor, Wei Zhongxun touched his face, asking Beisitian, "Master, they’re a bit lacking compared to me, aren’t they?"
Beisitian rolled her eyes at him—indeed, they fell short of Wei Zhongxun. Wei Zhongxun carried a certain mischievous allure, increasingly trendy—the kind of charm young ladies favored these days...
He Wenbo smiled bitterly, having nothing to say in the face of these Crown Prince Faction members.
"Three gentlemen, if you have business, please head upstairs..."
"No need for upstairs. Let’s talk here. We just want to find a doctor, and look at you shirking us. What, not interested in our business?"
