I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!

Chapter 595 Angry

Chapter 595 Angry

Without hesitation. Without caring about composure or elegance or dignity or any of the things Vlad Jr. usually cared about. He just wrapped his arms around his friend and held on. His face pressed into Drake’s shoulder. His hands gripped the back of Drake’s red shirt.

Drake blinked in surprise, his arms still raised from his dramatic entrance. His mouth hung open for a second. Then his face brightened, and he smiled even wider, and he hugged back just as tightly.

"I missed you too," Drake said, his voice quieter now, just for Vlad Jr.

Vlad Jr. didn’t answer. He just held on a little longer.

The next second—

Everyone joined.

Kelpie rushed in, his water spraying everywhere in his excitement, soaking Drake’s shoes and Vlad Jr.’s pants. "You’re back! You’re back! You’re back!" he chanted, his voice high and happy.

Rocky followed carefully, patting Drake’s back with his strong, steady hand. "Welcome back," he said softly. "We saved your spot for the games."

Sable practically jumped, launching himself into the pile, his shadows wrapping around all of them like a dark, warm blanket. "Drake! Drake! You’re back!"

Even Luna stepped in without thinking too much. She didn’t say anything. She just crossed her arms around the group in something that looked awkward and stiff and completely unlike her. But she was there. She was hugging them too. And when she pulled back, her cheeks were slightly pink.

It turned into a full group hug.

Boo floated around them like a glowing ribbon, circling again and again, his red ribbon trailing behind him.

"My chaos partner has returned!" he declared proudly, his voice ringing across the field. "Crime partner! Snack partner! Drama partner! Reckless decision partner!"

Felix stood at the side, watching.

His arms were crossed. His expression was unreadable. His headband was straight, his shoes were tied, his shirt was tucked in. He looked like he was ready for the games. He looked like he was waiting.

Then he sighed.

"...Fine."

And stepped in as well.

He didn’t hug dramatically. He didn’t squeeze. He just stood at the edge of the group and let himself be included, his shoulder pressed against Kelpie’s, his hand briefly touching Drake’s arm.

"Welcome back," he said quietly.

Drake grinned at him. "You missed me."

"I did not say that."

"Your face said it."

"My face said nothing."

"Your face said ’I missed you so much, Drake, please never leave again.’"

Felix’s eye twitched. "That is not what my face said."

"That is exactly what your face said."

"I am going to find our lane."

Felix walked away, his ears slightly red.

Alina stood a little distance away, watching them.

Her eyes were warm, her smile soft. She had her arms crossed loosely over her chest, her weight shifted to one hip, her ponytail swinging gently in the breeze.

Seeing Drake back, seeing them all together again, it felt like someone had lit a candle in a dark room. The brightness had returned. The noise. The warmth. The chaos. Everything that had been missing for the past days was suddenly there again, filling the space around her like sunlight.

She didn’t interrupt. She just watched.

Let them have this moment.

They had waited long enough.

When the hug finally broke apart, Drake looked around at all of them, his eyes bright, his grin still wide. His scales caught the sunlight. His tail curled happily behind him.

"I missed you guys," he said, his voice sincere now.

"You were gone too long," Luna said, her arms crossed again, her expression back to normal. But her voice was softer than usual.

"I was shedding."

"You were gone."

Drake nodded. "Okay. I was gone. But I’m back now."

Boo floated directly in front of his face, so close that Drake had to cross his eyes to see him. "Do you still have your snack stash?" Boo asked, his voice serious.

"Yes."

"Full?"

"Fuller than before."

"Good." Boo floated back, nodding with satisfaction. "Friendship is restored. Loyalty is confirmed. Snacks are secured."

Felix shook his head from where he stood near their lane. "That is not how friendship works."

"It is how our friendship works," Boo said.

Felix did not argue.

Alina stepped forward finally, her smile gentle, her eyes warm. She walked up to Drake and stopped in front of him, looking him over.

"Welcome back, Drake," she said simply.

Drake looked at her, his grin returning, brighter than ever.

"Thank you, Teacher! I am ready to win everything!"

"We’ll see," she said, her smile widening.

"I am ready!"

Luna snorted from beside him. "You are not ready. You just got here. You haven’t warmed up. You haven’t stretched. You haven’t even tied your shoes properly."

"I am more ready than you."

"You were gone for days."

"I was resting. Resting makes you stronger."

"That is not how strength works."

"It is how dragon strength works." Drake puffed out his chest again. "I am full of rest. I am a rested dragon. Rested dragons are dangerous."

Luna opened her mouth to argue, then closed it. She looked at his taller frame, his more confident tail.

"...Fine," she said finally. "But I am still faster."

"You are not."

"I am."

"Prove it."

"Fine. I will."

They were already arguing again, falling back into their usual rhythm like no time had passed at all.

Everything was back to normal.

The playground had turned completely lively now.

Children from every class filled the space, their colorful sports outfits moving everywhere—red, blue, green, yellow—like little waves of energy clashing and mixing together. Laughter echoed, feet ran across the ground, and the air carried that excited tension of a day that promised chaos, victory, and a little bit of drama.

Class D stood together in their bright red outfits, already buzzing with energy.

And right in front—

Boo floated slightly above the ground, his ghostly cap tilted proudly, hands on his hips, clearly preparing for something very important.

Trouble.

He turned toward Class C.

Slowly. Deliberately. Like a villain in a movie.

He stuck out his tongue.

A long, exaggerated, completely unnecessary tongue that seemed to go on for several seconds.

"We will wiiin!" Boo sang loudly, swaying side to side like he was performing on a stage. "Class D will wiiin! We will crush you! We will destroy you! We will—"

He paused.

"What is the word for winning very hard?"

Felix sighed. "Annihilate."

"Yes! We will annihilate you!" Boo pointed dramatically.

He even added a little spin at the end.

Dramatic.

Completely shameless.

Class C froze.

Then their faces changed.

Angry.

Very angry.
