Over the next week, Erma got really into judo. Since I had work and couldn't always accompany her, Elendir and Shayle took turns joining her. It didn't take long for her senses to sharpen back up again either. Last night, when the two of us were heading home after a 'walk', she spotted someone absentmindedly walking into traffic. I hadn't even noticed until things settled down, Erma rescued the distracted man and returned to me in a matter of seconds.

However, her thirst for battle wasn't quenched with just judo. Erma started asking about more combat sports, and thanks in large part to Gouda, she discovered even more and expressed interest in learning.

Of course, something like that was going to take time and money. The sports center membership where practice took place cost a pretty yen, and it had a lot of other amenities within the facility, like saunas, massage salons, and a rest lounge. Apparently, Erma already experienced most of that. I might need to check them out myself some day.

Today, though, Kana and I were helping Elendir with some alchemy. After I drove Shayle and Erma to the train station, the two of us came back home when she asked for some assistance. Elendir's room had quickly turned into a laboratory of sorts. We bought her extra shelves and cabinets to store reagents, a latticed overhang with a net to dry herbs, and terrariums that contained native Elza reptiles. It felt like we stepped into a witch's hut.

"Are we sure these things are safe to keep on Earth? What if they escape?" Kana asked, bending down to watch a green and black striped lizard with two heads.

"Fear not, Kana. They won't live long outside of their specially-designed terrarium. It has a fail safe where, in case of attempted escape, an enchantment ward will instantly annihilate any living thing within," Elendir explained casually.

"What?! Those poor lizards!" He gasped.

"They are called etkos. Oh, speaking of those etkos. Here is the first potion I'd like for you two to try. It's made with the tail one." She handed each of us a potion containing cloudy brown liquid.

We grimaced, staring into the vial.

"What's it… supposed to do?" I asked.

"Ideally, suppress your libido. I'm trying a two-pronged approach to the mana leak ailment. First aimed at reducing your lust, and second to replenish mana. Don't make me wait any longer. Try it," Elendir urged us.

"Why do I have to drink it, too? Ugh. Alright. Bottom's up." Kana downed it in a single gulp and gagged.

I did the same. A foul taste spread across my palate, like rot followed by an extreme bitterness. My throat clenched, my guts heaved. The very fiber of my being wanted to puke it back up, but I pushed everything down. When the sensation passed, I glanced up and Elendir returned her gaze expectantly.

"Well?" Elendir stared harder.

"I don't feel any different. Still my usual horny self as a succubus, but obviously hungrier because of mana leak." I shrugged.

We turned to Kana, who was stiff as stone. Literally. The surface of his body was pure rock.

"KANA!" I cried.

"I don't recall creating a stoneskin potion… Wait. I must have used the wrong reptile tail. My apologies." Elendir weaved sigils into the air as if writing on a piece of paper. Those symbols pressed themselves against Kana's hard skin. He started moving again as if nothing out of the ordinary happened.

"Ewww… I hope I don't ever have to drink that again." Kana stuck his tongue out.

"Y-You were turned to stone just now! Did you not feel anything?"

"I was turned to stone?!" He started feeling faint and sat down on Elendir's bed. "I'm not so sure about taste-testing your potions anymore. No offense. I don't doubt that you're a master alchemist, but… this is a little much for me."

I looked down at my two hands, clenching and unclenching them. How strange that Kana turned to stone, but I didn't. Was it because we were different in biology now that I was a succubus, not human? Elendir noticed my confusion and smiled.

"You're a greater succubus, love. Potions that try to alter your being require more potency to affect… you… Oh." A bulb lit up in Elendir's head.

"What is it? Did you find something out?" I asked.

"Of course. I should be concocting potions with stronger potency if I want to cure your mana leak. Perhaps I can use reagents from your world, too. I will need encyclopedias. Many. Preferably on the descriptions of botany and fauna," she explained.

"Huh. I suppose I can borrow a bunch of books from my university. I'll pick up a stack the next time I come home from classes," Kana offered kindly.

"We can hit up a library in the city right now," I added.

The three of us took a trip to the local library, a two-story building with a cafe lounge built into the first floor. I read from the website that the city designed this place with the intention of attracting youth. The architecture was very chic and modern. A modest outdoor garden terrace provided a pleasant place to read, too. But with physical reading gradually becoming less and less popular, it was mostly empty with the occasional group of visitors. Nowadays, libraries just served as a place for the elderly generation to get a part-time job, tired salarymen finding a quiet place to rest, and middle schoolers to read manga at.

Since a human library was a completely foreign place for someone like Elendir, it fell to Kana and I to look for relevant books. I put Kana in charge of looking for journals about animals used in folk medicine, and I searched for plants that had medicinal properties. When we came back to the table, two hot cups of coffee were waiting for us. Elendir must have bought them from the cafe while we were hunting for her books.

"I'm surprised there aren't more humans perusing books." Elendir grabbed one book and frowned. "A repository is supposed to be a bastion of knowledge. Erma could tell you this: the City of Everlight boasts a trove of ancient texts reserved only for the noble class. Yet this library is open to the public, and no one comes to take advantage of that?"

"I get what you mean, but your world probably doesn't have digital devices to access books from the comfort of their home." Kana waved his phone.

"Hmm. Point proven. At any rate, thank you both. We may be here for a while, and your written language is still a little difficult for me to read," she said.

We spent the better part of the afternoon helping Elendir read and translating parts too difficult for her. Regardless, she was diligent. As expected of the dark elf who essentially saved her people from extinction by coming up with the dick potion.

"Your world is filled with so many curious reagents. I want to experiment with them all. For now, there are two cacti species I'd like to obtain. Peyote and opuntia. If I extract their essences and combine them with ingredients that make a mana potion from Elza, that could serve as the baseline for a mana leak cure," Elendir murmured to herself.

"Oh, thank goodness. We're finally making progress." I sighed in relief.

"What's the matter? Aren't you enjoying all the rampant sex you've been having as a result of the ailment?" the dark elf teased.

"D-Don't give me that! Of course, I like it. I'm a succubus. But it's been causing me more problems than it's worth. So, those cacti are all we need?"

Elendir giggled and nodded.

There was a garden center store in Shinjuku that I could check, but that was going to have to be for tomorrow. It was getting late, and Erma and Mio would be coming home soon.

In the meantime, Kana and I got started on dinner and fed the cats. We had grown to be a fairly big group. Myself, Kana, Mio, Elendir, Erma, Shadow, and Snowball. At this rate, we were going to need to buy a house. We were already breaking the rent contract by having two extra people living here, when it was originally meant for three.

It was only because Juna Hoshino wanted to stay on my good side that she let this slide. Any other tenant would have been given the boot. Fortunately, after a year of doing this, my savings were swelling up pretty nicely. Between Mio and Kana, too, we were well on our way to buying a house. Not any time too soon though.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Saeko, can you get that? I don't want to burn the eggs," Kana said from the kitchen.

I threw open the door to Erma looking utterly disheveled. Her hair was all over the place with knots here and there, her cheeks were a little rosy, and she had a light bruise on her right cheek. She normally only looked like this after I had my way with her.

"I'm in desperate need of a bath." Erma sighed on the way in, dropping the duffel bag I bought for her in the living room. "Some of the members introduced me to other sports, so I gave it a try. I can't remember the last time I worked up that much sweat. They introduced me to a sport called 'badminton' which I severely underestimated. I was winded after only a few games."

"Yep, that sounds like badminton alright. If you like it enough, we can buy a set to play at the park sometimes," I offered.

"I'd like that very much." She smiled warmly before heading into my room.

Mio came home next after hanging out with Hacchan all day, just in time for dinner. Again, I needed to take my regular dose of mana potion to replenish myself. I'd get hungry for other things otherwise.

Once I got done eating and cleaning up the kitchen with everyone, I headed into my room in search of the box of mana potions. As I held one vial pinched between my index finger and thumb, a gnawing sensation tempted me not to drink. I could just… go out and… feed instead…

"Mistress?" Erma poked her head into the room.

"Y-Yeah?" I put down the vial and closed the lockbox.

"There's something I want to ask you. It involves my newfound interest. I was wondering if you could help enroll me into these sports in particular?" She handed me a wrinkled sticky note with a list written into it.

"Jiu jitsu, karate, wingchun, kung fu, boxing, kickboxing… You want me to sign you up to all of these?!" I gasped.

"Is that… a no?" Erma returned my stare with a sad frown.

"It's not a no, more like how are you going to study all these? One at a time? Several at a time? All at a time? There's no way you can do everything concurrently, right?"

Erma glanced off and batted her eyelashes.

"Right…?" I repeated.

"When I was training to become a soldier, I always relished learning new techniques. Even as my peers moaned about it. Every day I would look forward to being worked to my bones," Erma explained.

This was some passion. It went beyond just simple interest now. Erma genuinely wanted to learn about every form of martial arts on Earth. Seeing her happy stirred the butterfly in my stomach.

"Hmm. How about we keep it to just two at a time? The sports center also has karate, so you can learn that while there, too. Once you feel you've mastered them, we can move onto the next. Will that work?" I offered.

"Yes! Thank you, Mistress!" Erma bowed repeatedly.

I woke up the next morning feeling particularly hungry. It was only Sunday, so I had time to go pick up some of the cacti that Elendir needed for her alchemy. Erma was lying naked next to me, and the sight of her made me even hungrier. As I got out of bed, my stomach growled. I searched inside the cabinet where I kept the lockbox of mana potions, but… it wasn't there. Panicking, I turned my room upside down trying to find them.

Crap. I didn't drink a potion last night before going to bed. Did someone take them? Mio? She could be messing with me. Since she wasn't in my room, she might be in Elendir's or Kana's.

I emerged from the bedroom sensing something amiss. My aura felt the presence of another person in the living room, but I didn't see a single soul except the cats by the window. I felt a poke on my back, and I spun around. Then a poke from the front.

"I'm right here!" Kana's disembodied voice reached my ears, and a pair of hands clasped my face before pulling me in for a kiss.

"What are you doing? Did Mio turn you invisible?" I asked.

"No, I asked Elendir to make me an invisibility potion for fun. The only downside is that it only affects my body, so— ooohh!" Kana shuddered as I cupped his balls.

Elendir emerged from her room, stretching. "If you need more mana potions, I can easily make more. I'll have them made in a few hours. Try to hold out until then."

Kana and I drove out to the garden center for the time being. He was still invisible, since the potion's effects hadn't worn off yet. And, because it was winter and freezing cold outside, we turned up the heater in the car.

As I pulled into the parking lot, I hesitated to leave. My senses were going haywire. My stomach growled. Although I couldn't see Kana, I knew he turned in my direction worriedly.

"Saeko, are you okay?" Kana asked.
