Chapter 282
Chapter 282
Fall had arrived, and with it piles upon piles of leaves wherever I walked. Soon, every tree except the evergreens would become bare-branched, Christmas music to play at every mall, and couples to being all lovey-dovey for an entire month. For me, however, it was the dreaded day Mio and I became fertile. I was already dealing with being horny 24/7. Every passing day dialed it up another 100%.
After sweeping the sidewalk and parking lot in front of Tsuki clean of leaves, I emptied them into the compost bin, and then returned to the building to finally clock out. Mio was inside waiting for me behind the front counter, texting happily into her phone. She sprung out to join me, we grabbed our things, and drove home for the night.
This Friday night was special. Kana and Elendir had come over. I called them to finally break the news about Mr. Ishioka asking me to move to Tokyo for work. My nerves were getting the better of me, wondering how they would react.
My anxiousness vanished when we returned home. The smell of curry wafted up to our noses. Kana was just finishing up cooking, and Elendir was in the middle of setting the table. My dark elven girlfriend left the table to embrace me with a kiss at the door. Mio took her turn with a more intense and passionate make out session, pinning Elendir against the wall.
"You know, there's a thing called 'naked apron' you should try. Couples do it all the time." Mio purred.
"Oh? Is this another human tradition? What does such a thing entail?" Elendir asked curiously.
"Please, don't give her any ideas…" Kana groaned from the kitchen. "As the one with a dick, I suffer the most with someone walking around in a naked apron."
The four of us worked like rusty gears in the kitchen, getting in each other's way, doing something that was already done, and reaching for the same things. Too many hands in one place almost turned into a disaster when Kana nearly spilled the pot of curry with us in the way.
After an inelegant set up, dinner was served. Mio and Elendir went to freshen up in the bathroom first. Meanwhile, I replayed what to tell everyone in my mind first.
"Huh. Saeko, have you seen the white bunny print apron? I swear I just hung it up. Now it's missing." Kana scratched his head staring at the hook where we put our mitts and aprons.
"Beats me. I thought I saw you put it up there, too." I shrugged.
We got our answer when Elendir came back naked, dressed in only the white bunny print apron in question. Her incredibly endowed chest could barely be contained by the simple article of clothing. It was so revealing that her nipples peeked out from the sides. Mio came from behind her with a devilish grin, nibbling on her lower lip as she stared at the dark elf's bare ass. I put a hand to my face and sighed. Kana, however, tensed up, turned red, and crossed one leg comfortably over the other. In such times, I thanked god for being a girl and not having a dick that got erect at the worst times.
"What is it? Mio told me this is proper attire when dining at home with loved ones. Should I not have?" Elendir asked innocently.
"Well… It's fine. Like Kana said, he's the only one that suffers." I scooted closer to him and slipped my tail into his pants to wrap around his dick.
Dinner hit the spot. Kana really knew how to be the domestic one in the relationship, and I wouldn't trade him for any other man. Mio completely doused her curry and rice in spicy sauce. Elendir ate her portion as is and complimented Kana's cooking, but he couldn't look her in the eye on account of being in the naked apron.
"So, what did you want to tell us?" Kana asked, trying to change the subject.
"Right." I took a deep breath before continuing. "Here I go… I've been meaning to tell you guys this, but I hadn't found the courage until recently. Mr. Ishioka wants me to go to Tokyo. To run another Tsuki. I'm thinking of accepting it."
Everyone around the table erupted with different reactions despite gasping at the same time. Kana looked glad. Of course he would. The two of us would be a lot closer. Mio appeared troubled. I imagined her weekly volunteering at the animal shelter, Asakura, would be hard to let go of. Elendir lifted a hand up to her mouth and looked to be on the verge of tears.
"You're going to leave?" Elendir's voice quivered.
"If I accept, yeah. Tsuki and Tokyo are a few hour train ride away from each other. But we can get a place to stay together! It's a lot more expensive in Tokyo but it shouldn't be too bad split between four people. I can also cover most of the rent being the breadwinner and all," I explained.
In that case, I suppose it is fine. I will miss living so close to my subjects, but I wish to follow you on this journey." She smiled.
"My friends and dorm mates are always giving me shit for having two girlfriends. I'd love to live off campus, even if it means needing to commute in the morning," Kana said.
"Hrmm. I really like volunteering at Asakura, but I wanna be with you guys more. At least I'll have Elendir and Snowball to keep me company if we move in together!" Mio beamed as she looked at the silver lining of things.
It sounded like the three of them were fine with the idea of moving in together in Tokyo. My head was a little dizzy at the thought of going from a modest-sized city to what was considered the world's densest metropolis.
Several things needed to be done before then though. Firstly, I had to secure a place to live. Juna Hoshino could help us find one. Secondly, a larger version of Tsuki required just as large a staff. I'd have to go to Elza to recruit more succubi, which wouldn't be too hard. Lastly, and the hardest of all, tell my dear big sister Hatsumi that I was moving. There was no doubt in my mind that she wouldn't take it well.
Starting with the easiest of the three tasks, I visited Shayle to ask about using the mirror artifact to teleport succubi to Earth. Mr. Ishioka gave me the okay to bring in Elza immigrants, as long as I sent them to Tsukiji's city hall to have their visa and documents processed.
Shayle invited me over to her apartment to discuss the specifics. When I got there and we sat down together to talk, however…
"Impossible." Shayle shut me down right away.
"Why not?" I pouted.
"We will overload and possibly crack the mirror again. No matter how we look at it, transporting 100 is insane! Not too long ago, we've transported many of our kin already. This was only ever meant to move a few people at a time, with a generous rest period in between. Do you want to shatter the mirror? I certainly don't!" she exclaimed.
"Okay, I get it! I don't have the Blade of the First Temptress anymore either… Is there any way? Some elves are versed in magic, right? Can't we create a portal to travel between Elza and Earth?"
The dark elven woman stared at me in utter exasperation.
"Saeko… You truly overestimate our capacity for magic and what is within our power to do." Shayle shook her head.
For the time being, I still had plenty of succubi on a waitlist for Tsuki. I could just convince them to move to Tokyo instead, as well as search for a nest that has been laying low. When Beatrice mass transported succubi here for her conquest plan, a not so insignificant number deviated or outright abandoned the cause.
Reza might know more. Having gone rogue, she must have searched far and wide for potential allies. I flew straight to their apartment next after sending a text. Both Reza and Emily were home, and they fixed me up some tea as soon as I arrived. When I explained to them my life milestone and the predicament that came with it, I received both congratulations and apprehension.
"The good news is yes," Reza began cautiously, "there is a nest of succubi residing in Tokyo. The bad news is, they wish to stay hidden. They were among the most vehemently opposed to the traditional order of being ruled by a succubus queen. When Queen Beatrice mass transported us to Japan, this group broke off right away."
"Seriously? Beatrice couldn't have been happy about that," I said.
"She was furious. Both sides came to blows. Beatrice wanted to forcibly bring them back into the fold. The deserters resisted— and succeeded. I believe they number in just under 100." The former renegade fell into thought as if counting in her mind.
"A hundred? That many, and I didn't even know about them until now… How did they manage to resist anyway? Beatrice and Selene were two greater succubi on a single side would've tipped the scales, right?"
Both Reza and Emily nodded.
"The deserters won because they started making it difficult for us succubi to lay low. K-Kinda like how I kept throwing humans to impede you when you were searching for me…" Emily laughed nervously.
"There are also rumors, though unsubstantiated as of yet, that a greater succubus leads them. I'm not sure who. The only greater succubi I know are you, Beatrice, Selene, and Layla. Us lessers wouldn't have sensed her aura if she wanted to stay hidden after all," Reza explained.
"A greater succubus is going to spell trouble. At least I can sense her as equal. Thanks, you two. I'll keep you posted." I smiled in gratitude.
The following day, I got Elendir, Kana, and Mio together again to join me in scouting new places to live in Tokyo. Naturally, I called Juna to help with that. A real estate agent knew all the best apartments and homes, and she had a history of giving me a hand with housing succubi and dark elves.
"I have to say, Saeko, I really have my work cut out for me with you asking for housing so often." Juna grinned.
"Sorry. I hope I'm not working you too hard." I apologized and rubbed the back of my head.
"Oh, no. It isn't anything like that. Hoshino Housing prospers with every successful contract and lease we sign. In fact, whenever we put succubi into any of our apartments and houses, they all see an uptick in prospective renters around the area!" she explained gleefully.
Well, it wasn't hard to imagine why…
Behind me in the back seat of Juna's van, Kana, Elendir, and Mio were bouncing like a bunch of excited children being taken to an amusement park. Evidently, the idea of moving to a new place was really fun for them. Mio even brought Shadow along, and our poor cat had to be placed in a pet carrier for most of the ride. 'Shadow had to come' was what Mio insisted on without negotiation.
Our first destination was Taito City, a fifteen minute bike ride away from the University of Tokyo. Juna pulled into the underground parking structure beneath the apartment. As expected of the real estate agent, she started selling us on the neighborhood and amenities. From here, we were fairly close to Ueno Station. There were no less than four large convenience store chains and several popular bath houses.
We ascended the mid-scale apartment complex, greeting neighbors along the way up to the third floor. Juna let us into an unoccupied place, recently renovated, and pre-furnished with basic appliances and furniture.
"As per your conditions, there are three rooms and a master bedroom. The master has its own bathroom. The remaining rooms will have to share the communal bathroom accessible from the living room. As you can see, the kitchen and living room is conjoined for ease of access. Unfortunately, this apartment doesn't come with a balcony as you requested," Juna explained as she guided us into each room.
"What do you guys think?" Kana asked after the tour. "I kind of like it. It's close enough to my school that I can bike there and back."
"Shadow doesn't like it. Pass," Mio said, turning this place down before Elendir and I had a chance to voice our opinions.
"Uhh. You can't seriously be letting our cat decide where we live…" I groaned.
"If Shadow doesn't feel comfortable, then that's that. Look, she hasn't even come out of her pet carrier!" My girlfriend pointed.
We had a high chance of not finding a place at all if Shadow was the deciding factor. Everywhere was an unfamiliar place for a cat, and they would naturally be cautious.
"Not to worry, Saeko! I have plenty of homes to show you. Let's visit a few more, shall we?" Juna suggested.
Next in our destination was Kita City, but it wasn't an apartment. Instead, Juna introduced us to a new housing project that was borrowed from the U.S.— a gated community. Although Tokyo as a whole didn't have a lot of space left but up, a tract of land had passed bureaucratic nonsense for development, and this was what it turned into.
Rows upon rows of cozy single family homes lined the street, each with a modest front yard and a smaller backyard. The house was two stories and only had three bedrooms, but each room had a bathroom of its own.
Standing inside the spacious living room, it really didn't look like a Japanese home. More westernized was the best way to describe the place. Even the kitchen was in a separate room.
"Hey, there's only three bedrooms. Won't one of us have to double up?" Kana asked after coming out of a room.
"You, Saeko, and Elly can grab a room. I'll just switch up who I sleep with every night." Mio shrugged.
"Is Shadow coming out?" I asked, since our cat was the deciding factor.
We glanced down at the pet carrier. Mio opened the door, and we watched with bated breath. Shadow poked her head out. I thought she was going to emerge from the cage but took only a single step out before retreating back inside.
All of us, except Mio, threw our hands in the air and groaned aloud.
"Aha… I'm sure Shadow will be happy with the next one!" Juna insisted nervously.
She wasn't. The next few homes and apartments were a dud. One was on the corner of a busy intersection. All of the noise scared Shadow. Another smelled funky, and Juna couldn't for the life of her find out why.
We were at our wit's ends in finding a place to stay. Shadow just didn't want to come out of her carrier, and Mio refused every single one. It had to be a unanimous group decision, but I was thinking about just making the executive decision.
Finally, we were at the last place of the day. It was getting dark. To mine and Kana's surprise, Juna brought us to Shinjuku City. We arrived just as the neon lights from signs and boards lit up along the length of buildings, at every corner of the street, and behind glass windows of shopping malls. Shinjuku was the place to go for the nightlife, like downtown Tsukiji but dialed up to 100 in every way possible.
The apartment was a three bedroom and two bath, with a conjoined kitchen and living room unit. It was on the sixth floor of a thirteen story apartment complex. Cool wooden floorboards were nice to the touch. The kitchen was big enough to accommodate us and then some if we had guests over, including an island counter which removed the need for a dining table. When I threw open the blinds, I could see into the apartments across the avenue.
"Well?" Juna swallowed hard after we exhausted her list.
"I'm not really a fan of Shinjuku's nightlife, and it's a half hour bike ride to school but… I'm good with it if you guys are," Kana said.
"I think the one we should really be asking is…" I lowered my gaze to the pet carrier on the ground.
Everyone was anxious, especially Juna. Mio opened the pet carrier, and… Shadow walked out and laid on the floor before grooming herself. All of us jumped and cheered in the living room, much to our cat's dismay. Probably to the dismay of our future neighbors, too.
"Great!" Juna breathed a sigh of relief. "I'll get the paperwork sorted out right away. I need you to sign a few things, too, Saeko. Ah, I left my briefcase in the car. Please, wait a moment and feel free to continue checking out the apartment!"
Mio shoved all three of us into a bedroom. "You know what that means? Time to break this place in with a foursome!"
"This place isn't even furnished yet!" Kana exclaimed, and we entered a completely empty room.
"Since Elendir and Kana are living with us, I guess we need to buy an even bigger bed for our rooms now." I sighed.
